Having a background in the arts, I have special expertise in working with people in creative fields. History

Established in 2013.

There’s a new Oracle in town! Though the Oracle of Los Angeles was officially established as recently as 2013, I’ve been working in the spirit realms for over 20 years. I grew up in an earth-​centered pagan, some might call it Wiccan, household, practicing magical rites, and learning to read tarot from my mother by age 12. Spirit work is a tradition in our family, my great-​grandmother read palms and tealeaves; and the famous mystic, Edgar Cayce, is a not-​so-​distant relative.

In 2010, I launched the Los Angeles Mystery Project [LAMP], which was was an exploration into the the mystical side of the City of the Angels involving workshops, ceremonies, texts, visual artwork, and sculptural installations. The Oracle of Los Angeles evolved from LAMP, and now includes personal one-​on-​one sessions for magic, divination, and other strange and beautiful practices.

I’ve been practicing esoteric arts for over 20 years. My aim is to help you connect to your own power, fostering a strong connection to the source that animates all life, whatever you understand that to be. You don’t need to go to a Tibetan mountaintop to have a spiritual awakening. And you don’t need to be a believer to get something out of my readings and ceremonies. I don’t promise you that you can get something for nothing, or that you will always have the perfect parking space and marry a superhero multi-​millionaire. Instead, our work is to align you with the highest good, for you and all concerned.

My work as an oracle draws on my background in the arts. I’ve earned both a BFA and an MFA from internationally acclaimed arts institutions. As I see it, both art and magic are about independent thinking and forming a deeper sense of intimacy with the world around you. The main goal of our work together is to kindle confidence, and inspire a sense of personal empowerment and joy.

My Tarot reading with Amanda was life altering. I felt I was at a crossroads in life (which also came up multiple times during the reading) and by the end of the session I felt a renewed sense of hope and understanding of the right path for me. I have had readings before, but this one was different.
Spending a few minutes with her before the reading to drink some tea and meditate in her very cosy and safe space put me immediately at ease and calmed all the anxiety I had going into the experience. From the first card, I knew that she really saw me and was deeply connected to what was going on with me on multiple levels. She was extremely thorough in her explanations of each card and took the time to answer any questions I had and listen to what was coming up for me during the reading.
I found myself not wanting to leave that sacred space when it was over because I had enjoyed the reading so much and wanted to continue to basque in the light of it. I was very pleased to find that it stayed with me! The cherry on top of an already wonderful experience was the emailed summary sent to me by Amanda that reminded me of all the things I wanted to take away from the reading and incorporate into my life. I usually take notes during any type of session like this, but Amanda’s written summary allowed me to be fully present in the moment without distractions and still have something to look back on if I need a refresher.
I can’t say enough good things about Amanda and my Tarot experience. She gave me a lot to think about and work on in the coming months, and I can’t wait to go back for more when the time is right.

I came to Amanda at a time of great turmoil in my life and could not be more satisfied with the choice to get a reading from her. After the reading she sent me a photo of the cards and a recap of the reading, including some new things that she reflected on since the time of the reading – which showed to me her investment is providing perspective and guidance. Her recap was so helpful as I not only had the reading to use as guidance, but also a email (that was beautifully written) to refer to when I needed some clarity.
Amanda also has a career as an educator which gives her a deep ability to explain the cards in multiple and accessible ways. She provided many meanings for each cards including showing me the imagery used on a different deck, which helped me grasp the concept and ideas behind individual cards and tarot as a whole.
Her energy is so generous and inviting. She thanked me for being so open to the reading – she has great respect for herself, tarot, and the person whom she is providing the reading for, all which are of great importance for a spiritual guide.

I’m a novice when it comes to this tarot thing, though I’ve sat in and participated in plenty of readings that span the spectrum of experience. Amanda’s readings are different in that she’s shares her knowledge in a very thoughtful, authentically nurturing and accessible way, which helps when dealing with difficult situations that the readings can surface. Her warm nature enables her to be honest while also approachable, should you feel like asking a question. I’ve had readings done where I can’t follow the language, and there was just no way I’d ask about it, way too intimidating — and so I’d leave unfulfilled. This isn’t the case with Amanda. Aside from being accessible and warm, she’s incredibly knowledgeable and had a unique way of sharing her interpretation with me — it was pretty amazing ! She’s amazing! And she’s really, like wonderfully, intuitive.

Amanda’s tarot card readings are both therapeutic and insightful. Amanda is one of those magical people that is both wise and nurturing; she immediately puts you at ease. Tarot card readings are often about finding out what is important to you or finding a way through a difficult or confusing situation. I really loved the history of both the deck and the individual cards chosen. She explained how an individual moves through the deck, and how even if you are at a difficult stage in your life, the cards (or circumstances) further up the deck are what you are working towards. So at least if you’re stuck in something difficult (Tower) once you move through that stage, something different, perhaps better might come along. I loved this hopeful approach. Amanda helps you take broader readings of cards and put it into a personal perspective, one that relates to what you are personally going through. At a time of transition, I can’t state enough how much Amanda helped to clarify what needed to be examined in my life for change. Really looking forward to our next time together.

Amanda’s readings are like therapy — she’s wise, knowledgeable, smart, compassionate, & her insights are super spot on. My first ever tarot reading was with the Oracle of Los Angeles. It was during a period of intense spiritual crises and emotional unrest that I sought her gifts with the tarot. We undertook the sacred circle reading in person amongst her beautiful library and wonderful feline friends who sat with us throughout. The environment was calming and magical. Objects of meaningful import, masks, artworks, hand made crafts adorned her walls and provided an aura drenched backdrop that soothed my then troubled state. The reading was powerful (a spider scurried across the cards towards the end!) and grounded my senses and courage back on the material plane in ways that even to this day, fourteen months later, still holds powerful resonance. Since my reading I have consulted her aid with grounding spells and dream work and will continue to seek her gifts in the future. Amanda’s abilities are palpably felt in her presence. Her charming, effusive, compassionate nature alongside her love for plants, animals, and humans alike demonstrates a being passionately dancing with and alongside Spirit!
