Dr. Tran and Cindy are the best team ever. I have been to many eye doctors and none have compared to this dynamic duo. I was in need to new glasses and contacts after noticing that my lasik was wearing off. It was beginning to become harder for me to stare at the screen at work and driving at night was becoming a pain in the ass because of all the glares of the headlights. Of course I turned to Unilocal to check any nearby optometrist in the area and stumbled across all the great reviews for Optical Solution.
I called and booked my appointment, which was super easy. Dr. Tran was so knowledgeable and thorough during my eye exam. She made sure I was happy with my new prescription and took the time to make sure I was happy myself. After hearing how my lasik doctor took my eye correction to another level, it made my eyesight shift to become farsighted. I was so pissed but with Dr. Tran’s ability to correctly diagnose me with multifocals and readers (yes I know at 27! yikes).
I was happy with their service and Cindy took care of all the hassle which was the insurance part. They have really competitive prices and all their glasses are super stylish and up to date with trends. I highly recommend them. You can park in the parking lot next to the store, it’s for trader joes but I usually head over and buy a granola bar or some juice just so I don’t feel so guilty using their parking lot. I hope to return in a year to get my checkup!

Excellent customer service and excellent optometry. When I entered Optical Solution Optometry the world appeared dark, and dirty; when I left it was, finally, clean.

Great customer service. I came here about 10 years ago for sunglasses when it was across the street. It was great then and it’s great now. Recently came to get a new pair of regular glasses and I ended up getting a pair of progressive lenses. As much as I can see those being useful for people with bad vision both ways, it just wasn’t for me. They instantly offered to switch them out for regular glasses with no charge. I was very impressed with their quick service and happy with my decision. I Highly recommend Optical a Solutions. :)

Normally my Unilocal has always been to check reviews rather than create one. But I came across a place where I just had to because it is very much so deserved! This place is GREAT. I went in not expecting any of the treatment that I actually got. Cindy at the front desk was very comforting. When I saw Dr. Tran she was genuinely concerned about not only my health but my overall well being. Even my future. I never had this type of concern or treatment coming from someone who was merely a stranger when I walked in. I left feeling like I just visited family who cared about me. Thats just so great especially with medical concerns. I will forever get everything I need optical related from Optical Solutions! Awesome experience. I love it. They worked with me and helped me out. Informed me on everything I needed to know. Truly took care of me AND I was scheduled for an appt the same day right about when they were going to close. I highly doubt I’d get the same treatment anywhere else. Thank you Optical Solutions!!!

I have been going to Optical Solution for years for contacts and prescription eyeglasses. Cindy is the sweetest and most helpful lady! She is super knowledgeable about all the products as well as all insurance matters. She always helps me figure out what will be most cost effective while still getting what I need. I definitely recommend them!

I ended up getting my contacts through a location that was closer to home but Cindy helped me to check if my insurance covered my contacts. Very helpful people and I really appreciated it! :)

I’ve been a patient here for about 7 years and always find myself returning because of the great service. I had a difficult time putting on contacts before and Dr. Tran was able to successfully help me put them in. If it weren’t for her, I’d still be hiding behind dirty, foggy glasses today! She is really personable and her staff, Cindy is very helpful as well in fitting me with great frames for when I need a break from my contacts.

I walked by and loved the new interior design. I am new to the world of glasses so I didn’t know what to expect. Cindy at the front desk was so warm and welcoming. She gave me space and time to try on glasses all on my own which I LOVED! I didn’t feel presser from her in any way to try anything on or to buy and thing. When I was ready she say down with me and we went over each style and option. I ordered my first pair of glasses on the spot! Such a lovely experience here! I would recommend them to anyone! It’s been a while since my last visit to the optometrist and I’m glad I came here! Great and friendly staff. They’re always ready to help if I had any questions. I’m usually nervous when I get my eyes checked but, Dr. Tran made everything enjoyable and quick! There’s a variety of frames to choose from and the prices are great as well! This location is surprising a lot more clean than other optometry that I’ve been to in the past. Location is convenient, and parking was a breeze. I would highly recommend this place for anybody that’s looking for a great place to get a check up or quality eye care. If I could give this place 6 stars I would!

Helpful and friendly staff at Optical Solutions. Cindy was super patient and knowledgeable with us.
Dr. Leyen made sure that we were right on with our prescriptions and helped us make sure that our eyes were healthy. I was having a problem for some time with my eyes not being wet enough which she was able to diagnose and helped me with a treatment plan that was affordable. She explained what my condition was and why I have it.
If you want great service and help with one of your most important senses, these folks deliver it with a smile that I have not found elsewhere.

Friendly staff! Always making sure my optical needs are met! They have a really nice selection of glasses ranging from low to high end brands! I have been going here for years and I will continue to come back because I am treated well by all the staff!

Optical Solutions has been my go to eye center for our family’s eye care for several years. I moved to Redondo Beach recently and we still make the drive to see Dr. Leyen Tran and her awesome staff. Dr Tran is sweet and caring and she really provides great eye care. My husband has an eye disorder and he has been to several different doctors over the years. Dr Tran has been the only dr to correctly diagnose him AND correct his vision! She also cares about the health of your eyes and gives you tips on how to keep them free from bacteria and infection. Love Dr Tran!
I also love their office manager Cindy. Cindy is always smiling, funny and great to talk to. She is an asset to their team and they are lucky to have her! Several times, Cindy has helped me to pick out the right frames for my bridge-​less asian nose. She somehow picks out the perfect glasses for me every time!
FYI, they recently moved across the street. They are near Trader Joe’s & Say Cheese now.

Cindy is a wonderful professional. She provides great service and saved me a bucket of $$$.
Those of you who say they have closed. Just read the signs, same great hours and attention to detail.

We’ve been going to Cindy at Optical Solutions for almost 10 years now, and have watched her go above and beyond the call of duty multiple times when one of us either screwed up («Cindy! I lost my glasses three days before my overseas trip!»), became impatient («What do you mean my new lenses aren’t in yet? It’s been 48 hours!!») or needed something fixed on the fly («Cindy, I sat on these — can you make them right?»)
She is always friendly, funny and willing to help, which is why, as I’m finally remembering to write a review after ordering a new pair of sunglasses yesterday, I’m glancing at the isolated yellow-​starred reviews and shaking my head. Some people. I mean, the opthamologist at Optical Solutions is cool, the selection of frames on any given day is right on, and the prices, while not rock bottom, are reasonable.
We too worried that the store had abruptly closed when we saw it emptied, but lo and behold, one phone call to Optical Solutions and that mystery was solved. Thanks Cindy — you guys will always have our business!

I was sad to see the store emptied out late last year because I assumed they’d gone out of business. A «Remodeling, Reopening in January» sign would have been a very good idea as I see that I’m not alone among Unilocalers here in having been disappointed at their temporary disappearance. That said, I was very happy to learn that Cindy is indeed still in business because she is one of the kindest and most thoughtful opticians I’ve ever patronized. I’ve been going to get my glasses from her for at least 15 years and think she’s really great.
