Axel and his guys are as good as it gets. I know as I used to be a mover. Not only are they knowledgeable and presentable, but they are also lots of fun to work with.
When moving day comes you may not know who is going to show up at your door. Lots of other companies hire men of dubious character. These guys are going into your personal life for a day. With Axel, all his guys are gentlemanly, trustworthy, honest, smart and conscientious.
I have met all his guys because I have used Axel’s services not only for moving my home but also for carrying out deliveries to my own client’s homes from my furniture store in Culver City. My only complaint is that they are so much in demand that they are not able to do more work for my business. I have also referred this moving service to many of my clients and they have personally called me later to thank me for the recommendation.
The prices Axel charges are more than fair for the level of service provided. You can hire Billy Bob and his helper for the day, Slasher, for a few bucks less, but, good luck with that crap shoot.
Axel really cares about his business and is a genuine guy. Look no further for the best mover you can get.

My wife and I actually used Axel and his crew to move us from LA to SF a long time ago, before I had started using Unilocal (around 2008). We are now looking for a mover in the bay area, which made me recall our last moving experience, which made me think I should leave the review that I never left back then. The entire experience was very easy and very organized. A 3 man crew showed up at our place at precisely the time they said they would, and got all of our stuff very well packed in a shockingly short period of time. At their request, we had done virtually nothing to prepare beforehand, so our only real contribution to the process was to stand around and marvel at their speed. They then drove everything to SF and met us there the next day (once again at the precise time they said they would), and got everything in without a hitch. I don’t recall finding a single damaged or broken item out of all the boxes. It was a great experience overall, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Axel and the guys have worked together a long time. You can tell by their coordination and organization that they take things seriously and professionally. I was recommend by a friend to them, and I will pass my recommendation on to others!

I hesitate to write a review because I will never be able to schedule Axel and his crew again. He has moved me twice and I have referred him to many friends who couldn’t have been happier. The crew arrives on time, they are organized and quickly carry each item with care. The price is reasonable for the quality of work! I was referred by a close friend. I am doing a remodel and needed to move antiques to storage pods on site. Axel and his brigade are cute, funny and work lightning fast with German precision. Their method of storing my baby grand in my bedroom was unorthodox but it worked. See the photos ;-)
I highly recommend One Moving Kind of Guy. The pricing is more than fair, very straight forward. Considering how fast they work, they might want to rethink the hourly rate! I will use them again most definitely.

I have used Axel and his team 3 times after being referred to by a friend. Each time his team has been awesome. His pricing is fair and there have never been any hidden surprise charges. The guys are helpful, careful and overall great to work with. Axel is prompt in scheduling the service and arrives as expected. — no sense of team work, boss argues with employees, employees try to drag customers into how they should do their job and why the boss is wrong
— overpriced, fpr the quality of work they did I could have easily hired a cheaper company

Been meaning to write a review from our move 3 weeks ago. This was the second time in the last 3 years that we used Axel, and these guys. Axel and his crew are amazing They showed up on time, took excellent care of our stuff, and did it for a fair price. No hidden fees or any of that other nonsense that other movers try to pull.

These guys are like the Ocean’s Eleven of moving companies! If you are looking for a small moving company where the owner is personally involved with every move, go with One Moving Kind of Guy.
The owner is Axel and he has a small team of 4 – 5 movers that work for him. They are efficient, reliable, and accomodating. They are also very reasonably priced, with no hidden charges.
In addition to their moving truck, they have a separate truck for moving outdoor furniture, plants, etc. — this is included in the flat fees.
We moved from a 4 bedroom house in the Palisades to a 4 bedroom house in Encino. These guys came sharp at 8 am and were wrapped up by 3 pm. Amazing!
When I next move, I will definitely use them again. They are just fantastic.
