The Occidental College Bookstore is an independant bookstore owned by the college. We specialize in providing required textbooks, supplies and college logo clothing & gifts.

In addition we also have a wonderful general books department. If it’s not in stock, simply ask us to order a book for you. No shipping charges.

The Oxy Bookstore is open to the public and we invite you to drop by during our Academic or Summer Hours:

Academic Hours: Mon-​Thurs 8:30a-6p, Fri 8:30a-5p, Sat 10a-​2p, Closed Sun and Holidays.

Summer Hours Mon-​Fri 10a-4:30p, Closed Sat, Sun & Holidays

History

Established in 1887.

Originally the Bookstore only supplied required textbooks for classes and then expanded to include supplies such as notebooks, pens & pencils. Eventually a few gift & clothing items were added.

In the past 20 years the selection of Oxy clothing & gifts as well as regular gifts, dorm supplies, snacks & drinks has really expanded.

Manager

Donna started working in the Bookstore in 1994 in back office. Over the years she’s added supervising & purchasing resbonsibilities and eventually became Assistant Manager. Currently Donna holds the Interim Manager role in the Bookstore
