NY Pizza Shack

A bunch of crooks. I ordered a plain cheese pizza from them via Seamless, which never arrived. They charged me a 9.75 delivery fee for a 13.00 pizza. WTF?

We stayed overnight at the Hollywood Inn and Suites, and we ordered from them around 11pm-​12am that night, because we noticed they had late delivery. Long story short, they never delivered our order to us.

Where do I start? Late pizza, price differed from what I was told on the phone, and they forgot wings. They then tried to say my I didn’t qualify for the deal they offered.
The pizza itself was mediocre at best. Not a chance I would order from here again.

16″ pizza measures a hair above 14″. Mysterious delivery charge person on phone did not disclose in final price.
AVOID.

Can’t comment on the food, because it was never delivered. After waiting for 2.5 hours, the phone line was dead. No call or anything. I had to call them the next day to make sure I wasn’t charged for the order.

Avoid.
Was in town with some friends and had other friends drop by at our hotel.
Decided to order from those guys and had to repeat my order 5 times… including my room number which I repeated digit by digit 3 times to make sure they got it.
After 40 minutes no new from them and had to call 4 times up until 1h10 minutes after my order to finally have someone on the phone who told me delivery came but order was cancelled because they could not find room…
Oh well… had they asked for a phone number maybe they could have avoided throwing away pizzas and make a bunch of people grumpy.

I ordered an X-​large regular crust well-​done pepperoni and garlic. This was my first time ordering from them. I’m pleased. It was not unusually soggy or oily as many have stated. And the pizza came in about 60 minutes. The delivery person was friendly. I Will order again, but for now I’m assigning 3 stars. Its good enough for now.

Ordered my food, was told 45−60mins delivery and over an hour later i check on my order. Was told itll take ANOTHER 30mins. I placed my order at approximately 12:30a in the morning, seriously??! I canceled my order so dont even know if the food was worth that ridiculous wait. BY THE WAY — the only thing ordered: cheese pizza and wings. Doubt i’ll be hitting up this place again in the future. Waste of my time.

They charge for delivery and got here more than 30 min late. Cold and soggy pizza. Had to put it in the stove. Bleh.
If I knew the thin crust would be a disgusting oily tearing apart shit, I’d have asked for the regular crust. =/​

This place is disgusting. Spent 30 dollars on an inedible soggy pizza with spoiled ricotta!!! Go to kony or even dominos — this place will make you Ill!!! Plus they wouldn’t even refund me for a spoiled item. As a native New Yorker this is all shack and no ny pizza.

I found them on GrubHub, and unfortunately with stuff like that it’s really hard to ask for extras. In my Calzone order, I really wanted to add multiple toppings but with the way Grubhub was set up it would only let me select one. In my selection I picked pepperoni but also wanted pineapple and jalapenos. Not only that but I really wanted extra sauce with my mozzarella sticks. I accommodated with a very generous tip beforehand in hopes that it would help to get what i really wanted along with my request in the comments, and boy did they deliver. I honestly wasn’t expecting my order to be as I’d asked, and not only that, it was delicious. I’ve never gone out of my way to write a review on just about anything I’ve ever bought, but I’m so impressed and moved that I had to! I usually never get this good of service from most chain pizza restaurants where you can order sides and extras right from their site. Although I’ve never tried their pizza I will continue to order from them simply because they went out of their way to make sure they pleased their customer.

I would give them 10 * if I could, I was looking for a pizza place that delivers at 1 am, I ordered a custom pizza and added 2 toppings and put in the instructions to put the toppings in 1 half and keep the other regular, and to make well done, and I got cheese cake, not realizing I had my old address on file the delivery guy went there and they finally realized wat happened and called me the guy was at my apt 5 min later and really cool abt the whole misunderstanding even though it was 2 am by than and the pizza was amazing and exactly how I ordered and the cheesecake was really good, 1of a kind, AND shockingly I even got the condiments I ordered which rarely happens, SO ROCK ON GUYS, I’LL DEF BE ORDERING FROM YOU AGAIN!!!

I LOVE you this place!!! It’s opened over night which is perfect for those late night cravings! The pizza is AMAZING! Especially the thin crust (you have to tell them u want it thin crust). Yeah the wait time is a b****h but hey their service is outstanding, they are friendly, I’ve only tried the pizza. PLUS I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one ordering pizza. The drivers are a bit slow -.- even to get out and hand me the pizza. BUT I know this place is now under NEW MANAGEMENT and I expect great things from this place. I just wish they could open DURING THE DAY!

It was past 2am. I had a couple drinks. Logged into eat24 and found this late night pizza delivery joint. Thin crust pepperoni. It was perfect. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Also, it only took 30 minutes. The other reviews on here are bogus; why are you ordering delivery french fries from a pizza place? What did you expect? Order a thin crust pizza and vibe on it.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! ESPECIALLY DELIVERY! Took an hour and forty minutes for my food to get here from blocks away. Food arrived cold. Beyond that my French fries were soggy and dripping with grease. Jalapeño poppers were soggy and filled with cold jalapeño juice and what seemed to be cottage cheese. The batter was soggy. The Pizza was inedible. Pepperoni tasted like it was old and soured the cheese had congealed and the dough had sopped up all of the grease. When I called to complain I was told I should feel bad for them if I get a refund because they are losing money. HA! This place either needs to completely change everything about itself. FIRE THE WHOLE STAFF and start again, or shut down and close doors. Pathetic experience in dining.

The delivery time was an hour and a half, everything was cold except the coke i ordered.

First off, the delivery took nearly 90 minutes. The pizza was a bit bland and the «buffalo wild wings» (I’m sure there’s a copyright issue here) were huge and gamey, and there was no ranch or blue cheese offered.
It’s my own fault for ordering pizza anywhere but REAL New York!

What used to be a shitty mexican hole/​transexual prostitute hangout is now a killer italian hole with a chef that knows how to cook.
Pros:
QUALITY FRESH white meat chicken, cooked perfectly.
Pasta, cooked aldente perfectly to order NOT PRECOOKED! Wow! What a concept, people can actually tell when a resturant heats up noodles that were partially cooked 8 hours prior! NOT here!
Salad, FRESH! Im a picky picky eater. Its fresh!
Italian dressing, HOMEMADE (didnt even ask, if i had no tongue id know it was homemade.)
Portions, good.
Cons: location is literally the size of a large outhouse and from the outside noone would in a million years guess theres killer food there. The food speaks for itself though so reputation will build itself.

UPDATE:
I had a bad experience with everything pretty much inedible (pasta mushy and flavorless, chicken overcooked, salad wet) but hopefully it was a fill in cook or an off day.
