We hired Ryan to DJ my daughter’s 1^st birthday party. We wanted a DJ and an additional person who could help get the kids out to the dance floor. Ryan and his colleague exceeded our expectations and the kids had a blast. They also did a photo booth for us which was a big hit. Ryan is amazing to work with — courteous, professional, and easy going i.e. no stress for me. I didn’t have to worry about a thing during the booking process or at the event. I would wholeheartedly recommend booking them and will definitely refer them to anyone I know who is looking for a DJ/​photo booth.

Ryan was literally the best DJ EVER!!! He kept the dance floor going all night and was so knowledgeable when it came to helping me pick those perfect songs to highlight my special day! My photo-​booth was AMAZING, everybody had such a great time I literally die at how funny the photos came out! I anticipated it would all be perfect but it was so much more than that and having a great MC made all of the difference in the world. The dance floor was rocking all night long, he had everyone, young and old, tearing it up and having the time of their lives! My lighting he put together made the whole venue alive all night! Looking around and seeing everyone dancing, all the big smiles, and how gorgeously lit the whole place looked made it so hard to let the night end! I was lucky enough to find Ryan through friends who had used him for their wedding, and I must say, best referral ever! I cant wait to find another reason to use him! Ryan is an awesome DJ and he kept us dancing all night! We had a blast! He also has uplighting, the monogram projection, photobooth (we had the most amazing sparkly background!) complete with a ton of props, and the cake spotlight. So glad we had Music Makes You Move at our wedding!

I hired Ryan to do my Photo Booth and he was absolutely awesome! He came early and left a little late! Ryan was always very good at emailing back, even when you think he might have forgotten about your special day. I high recommend him for your Photo Booth, and I’m sure he’s an equally awesome DJ! DJ Ryan is a TEN STARS DJ!!! He is unbelievable! My wedding reception was the best night of my life and Ryan played a huge role! He did an AMAZING job! He kept the dance floor packed with old and young the entire evening. Ryan was professional in his communication and preparation and attended to all our needs big and small. He showed up to the event looking dapper and was on top of his game the entire night! Although Ryan was hired as a DJ he also took on the role of a wedding coordinator… he helped us create a timeline for the evening and ensured the night ran accordingly. He was great with his announcements and had all of our guests attention. Not only did he play music and make announcements but he also choreographed and danced along to a few songs which was a TON of fun for our guests! Ryan also came prepared with a newlywed game that was probably my favorite part of the evening! I loved it! I would highly recommend using DJ Ryan at your next event, big or small! Additionally.since my mom is pretty conservative, I was a little worried about having a DJ, since the music that is popular on the radio can be found offensive to some age groups. We talked with him about our concerns and he received our requests very openly and again, further attended to our needs. While me and my friends had a blast dancing the night away so did my mom and her friends. :))) Win-​Win! My mom said she couldn’t have chosen a better playlist herself! She enjoyed every single moment and every single song… And coming from her… that’s saying a lot.

Music Makes you Move provided up-​lighting and a photo booth for my wedding. Their customer service is amazing, they are very responsive and willing to go the extra mile for their clients! The up-​lighting and custom monogram were great, it added personalization and beauty to our wedding! The photo booth, which I had gone back and forth on keeping was A HUGE HIT! We couldn’t get people out of it! The quality of the strips and digital images were amazing! It was very heartwarming to see the digital images and to see how much fun people had while taking their pics! I would HIGHLY recommend music makes you move!

We where lucky enough to have Ryan and his team DJ our wedding! One thing we have heard over and over from our guests was how amazing the music was. Prior to the wedding we met with Ryan and he made me and my groom feel so at ease that he would hear our desires and put them into action. He far exceeded all expectations!

A Fantastic Vendor that I would recommend to ANYONE looking for an amazing and talented DJ/​Host/​Master of Ceremony for ANY PARTY no matter how big or small. He is articulate, professional, and truly great at his craft. Ryan was a pleasure to work with at our wedding at Rancho Las Lomas on May 11 2014(Mother’s Day). As you all know weddings are a big deal, not only are they expensive but most importantly they are one of the most special days of one’s life. With a plated dinner this was going to be a challenge to play just the right music at the right time to transition into full blown dancing as the night went on. This past Saturday my sister threw a birthday party for my niece’s 15^th. I have to say that the DJ and the photo booth were both a hit. Lighting was perfect and he catered to the kids as well as the adults. Ryan and his team were professional and accommodating. Will definitely use Ryan and his team again for an event.

Earlier this year I had the good fortune of meeting Music Makes You Move owner Ryan. He told me about his DJ business and considering I am involved with a few non profit groups in town I reached out to him for a recent event. Wow — did he deliver! Everything from 90’s hip hop to Prince to classic rock, Ryan knows how to spin! We held our event at an ice skating rink in Van Nuys. The music added to the ambiance of the event perfectly! we rented a photo booth for a children’s party Ryan and his staff are amazing! They were friendly and patient with the kids. There is an abundance of props to choose from. Definitely a good time!

We attended a friends wedding in Santa Cruz in 2011. Ryan was a DJ at that wedding and we were sold on his talents from the first few songs and his interactions with the guests. We asked Ryan to DJ our wedding, which was last week (9÷8÷12), and it was perfect! He is professional, his song choices are very appropriate, and he is able to accommodate change at a second’s notice. He sets an itinerary for the evening, but is ready for the curve balls every wedding reception always encounters. Ryan dresses to impress, encourages life on the dance floor when needed, and has all kinds of fun dancing games too. By the end of the evening, we had family and friends asking, «where did you find this guy? I want his contact info» :-) My wife and I would choose him again and again. Our daughter (sweet 16^th party) was elated! The kids all had a fantastic time. The music, games, and dancing were a hit. I was the photographer at a recent wedding that Ryan from Music Makes You Move did, and was really impressed. His MC skills really added to the evening — some MC’s either don’t guide the event enough, or guide it too much and end up sounding super cheesy. Ryan’s dance floor was probably the craziest I’ve seen all year, and while some of that had to do with the crowd, a lot of it had to do with how he handled the reception. He really got people into it and the flow of music was perfect.
Also, he was the most organized DJ/​MC I’ve ever worked with. As soon as we met, he handed me a pocket-​sized schedule with everyone’s names on it and an entire outline of the day. I had my own schedule made too, but I’ve never had a DJ be that on top of things. He was dressed very well and was really a pleasure to work with.
