I recently celebrated my 20^th wedding anniversary. I searched for best placed to rent tuxedoes and came across Mr. Tuxedo. I have to say that I felt like I was dealing with family. The two gentlemen, father and son, were great. We rented 10 tuxedoes and I was upgraded to a nicer one, which really made me stand out. Overall, I would highly recommend Mr Tuxedo. Thank you!!!

I have never been a guy that dress up formal so the whole suit and tuxedo world can be a little foreign to me. I came into Mr. Tuxedo in need of measurements for my best friends wedding. The logistics of everything have been difficult because The wedding is on the east coast and I’m out here on the west. But lucky for me Mr. Tuxedo was very patient and helpful with not just getting my measurements but making sure they were right based off the type of tux for the wedding. Things which I sadly had no clue about. The Tux worked great and I will continue to frequent Mr. Tuxedo for all my formal attire needs.

I walked in with 1 hour to get an outfit for a Black Tie event. I was out of there within 30 mins thanks to the great service by Haik. This will be my go-​to spot for suits and tuxedos.

These guys are great. Rented a tuxedo for a recent wedding, and these guys made the entire process smooth and relaxing. There are so many different options for tuxes that it can get a little overwhelming, but Jacob and the rest of the staff did a great job helping me through the decision making process. I’ll absolutely use Mr. Tuxedo again, and I’d recommend any of my friends to go there in a heartbeat.

Haik was so helpful! I had initially reserved a tuxedo for my son’s prom but switched to Mr. Tuxedo when Haik was able to match the bow tie and vest perfectly with the champagne colored dress my son’s date would be wearing. He even took it a step further and found a really cool hanky that had a subtle design in it, matching the dress perfectly. I appreciated Haik’s attention to detail. The initial fitting took only 10 minutes and my son was put the door.

Virginia and her staff were extremely helpful. They graciously refunded me after having to cancel on my rental at the last minute, even providing me with a store credit in the future. Great pricing options as well. Thanks again!

This place was amazing. Family owned an operated, great selection, and excellent service. My girlfriend and I were the best dressed at the party!

Mr. Tuxedo saved my butt last night when I needed a last-​minute tux shirt and bow-​tie rental.
I actually called Men’s Warehouse first but they were a bit gloomy, unhelpful and even a little rude on the phone. But when I called the next place on my list – Mr. Tuxedo – a woman named Virginia answered the phone and was extremely helpful and courteous. The shop was closing 12 minutes before I could get there, but since my need was fairly dire Jacob and Haik stayed LATE to assist me! Great service. And they’re quite knowledgeable and friendly.
They also have some great-​looking tuxes in the store. Someday when the time comes for me to own my own tuxedo, I plan to come here. Their prices (at least for the rental) were half of what Men’s Warehouse quoted me, too.

If you need a tuxedo… this is THE ONLY PLACE TO GO.

Was desperate for a cabaret Halloween costume rental and after calling all around town, mr tuxedo had the cutest fit and the cheapest price. I matched it with a top hat for $ 15. Alteration included. Great place!

Rented a suit here for a wedding. Haik was very accommodating and friendly. Speedy service and overall great experience.

Mr. Tuxedo was great in helping me get everyone in my wedding party looking nice. Some of my groomsmen were not from the LA area, but Mr. Tuxedo was super accommodating on getting their measurements. Their reminder emails were helpful to not lose track of all the stuff I should be taking care of. Their selection was top notch and all the other generic places couldn’t hold a candle. I would highly recommend if you have a flare for the extravagant. Even if you don’t they have great service and are super accommodating.

We got my husband’s tuxedo here for our wedding and it was so easy, and amazing. The owner is amazing, friendly and talented. The whole party looked great! Thank you!

So good! Beautiful tuxes and same day turnaround– their inventory is huge so they are super quick. Amazing customer service as well, you can tell there is pride in the management and they care about quality. The selection and service is the best in West LA. Great experience and the best tux rental I have had– I was in and out in under 30 minutes and due to the huge inventory they had my measurements and size and instead of having to come back they had ready for me in 10 minutes!

Absolutely surprised this place has high ratings. Given the reviews, I gave this place a chance. I wish I hadn’t. The customer service is mediocre to say the least. The lady that was «helping» my fiancé and I had a horrible attitude. She was rude and made snarky comments to my 85 year old grandmother!!! On top of that, the tuxedo quality was so-​so. The employee’s attitude drove us away so we decided to go elsewhere. We decided to give Men’s Warehouse in Santa Monica a try! We are so excited we did!!! Men’s Warehouse was more affordable, had better quality tuxedos (Vera Wang), and the customer service was phenomenal in comparison to Mr. Tuxedo. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The owner cares a lot about his repeat customers. I get compliments on my Tux everytime I rent from Mr. Tuxedo. Short notice? No promlem. They will take care of you.

One word… actually, a name… Hike. Hike took care of me like I was James Bond getting fitted for a tux. Sized me up in seconds and the tux looked like it was fitted. Great service all around and great reasonable prices. Oh, and if you go – which I highly recommend — make sure you ask Hike to do his Christopher Walken impersonation.

I came in with my brother to purchase a black cummerbund, a bow tie, and a pair of shoes. I had walked past the store a number of times and thought that the the store looked like it had a nice selection of tuxedos. So, when my brother mentioned his issue, I was quick to suggest Mr. Tuxedo.
Unfortunately, when we walked in, we were surprised to find that the selection, while quite large for rentals, was quite lacking for purchase. The man working the shop explained that he had no individual, black, silk cummerbunds available for purchase. Instead my brother had to purchase a set with a cummerbund and a pre-​tied bowtie (which he did not want). Since my brother preferred to have a traditional bow tie that he would tie himself, but also wanted the cummerbund, he was forced to purchase the clip-​on as well.
While this is somewhat understandable, as I am sure most of their business is focused on rentals, the real issue came when my brother was looking to purchase shoes. He had a specific design in mind, which Mr. Tuxedo did not have. Instead of listening to my brother when he simply explained he was not interested, the man in the store insisted that there was no difference (which there obviously was) and pushed the shoe on him anyway. He was incredibly rude and dismissive. I am flabbergasted to read how many other positive reviews are posted here.
While my brother was looking at shoes, I explored the shop and decided to pick up some of the interesting canes that they have on display. I saw another customer checking them out and it happened to catch my eye. When the person running the store realized we had been touching them out, he immediately shoed us away, demanding to know if we planned to purchase them. When I said that I did not, he proceeded to scold us for touching them.
«If I had a dime for every time someone touched these without buying one, I would be a rich man. Ugh these are more hassle than they are worth.» he exclaimed.
Needless to say, I found the service here incredibly, incredibly lacking and will only be stopping back in the most absolutely necessary of circumstances. Hopefully, if that day ever does come, I and those with me will be treated with a little bit more respect.

I just got married on March 28^th, 2015. Like a lot of people, I found Mr. Tuxedo on Unilocal,liked what I read, and rolled the dice.
They came up winning numbers. Mr. Tuxedo gave me great advice both on how to save money and how to coordinate measurements, getting info in for all my groomsmen.
The price is surprisingly reasonable. In fact, I couldn’t really beat it in terms of meeting at the crossroads of being both economical and high quality.
Jacob, the owner, and Hike, who runs the store day to day, were both super professional, warm, knew exactly the issues on my mind, and gave my party the personal attention that makes companies rise above their competitors. You get the personal touch here. And it works because it’s genuine. In fact, Jacob even helped me to find a missing tuxedo after the wedding because he knew exactly what my groomsman had probably done with it at the hotel. Sure enough, he was right. Problem solved.
If you want to look good, not spend a mint, deal with honest people who will work with your situation, and get some hilarious Christopher Walken impersonations (from Hike), go here. Period.

I walked in with a lot of questions to ask about getting set up for my upcoming wedding. The people there took their time answering all of my questions clearly to my satisfaction, helping me look at the styles of tuxedos they have, and giving me a price estimate. They can work with special situations like where I have groomsmen coming from out of state.
One star knocked off for price, when there are more competitive places in the west Los Angeles area. They offer rental tuxedos from Jim’s Formal Wear as many places do (in addition to their own inventory and higher quality makers), and they quoted me about $ 40 – 50 higher than another place on these suits. Additionally, extras like cuff links and pocket squares came extra in rental packages.
Not sure if I would come back, but I could recommend to others that value customer service.

I’ll be clear and direct about my experience trying to rent a tuxedo from this place.
–Awful customer service (the girl «helping» me was absolutely rude).
–Limited styles and colors that look old and cheap.
–Not enough sizes. The girl (yes, the rude one) said that It was my fault for being a size «in the middle» not the ones she had available!
I’m «curious» about the good reviews Mr Tuxedo has received cause I didn’t see that «excellence» they describe.
