This was always the best place to pick up a great gift for any occasion. I’m super excited and waiting for their re-opening. I have missed this place so much!

What a great throw back toy store. Old school product assortment that really challenges the creativity and imagination of kids.

Fun for the kids, although probably smaller than you would expect. Avoid around Christmas because the area is a mob scene then. The first Tuesday of the month is free model build day, so you can bring your kids for a free Lego mini model they can assemble at the store. Definitely check out the models of Los Angeles attractions.

I love this store. It is a hidden gem in the heart of DTLA! All the people who work there are so super friendly and helpful. I have bought do many cute, unique gifts there and the bonus is, they wrap for free! Great prices too, there is something for everyone.

A haven for toy seekers in downtown Los Angeles. We came out of the 7th St Red Metro stop and needed to pick up a kids gift. We anticipated that our only options would be the small toy aisles in Rite Aid or Walgreens. This place has multiple aisles with lots of choices for both girls and boys.

Ive gone in here a bunch of times. Most of the time they have what I want, but stock is limited. The staff are nice and always help me when I ask questions. They have the basic toy selection, along with some tourist gift items that are not toys. Prices for the toys are a little higher than your basic Toys R Us etc, but not too high. Good toy store over all, ill keep going back.

I’m a big fan of this toy store. I brought my kids and they loved the large selection of good toys. This isn’t like a Toys R Us that has everything; this place is better. It is way more like an old fashioned toy store. I loved it and my kids loved it here. They have a great hot wheels section along with so many other great toys. My kids could have spent the whole day here and I could have also. Prices, although not the lowest, were very fair considering the ritzy location, great selection and excellent sales staff. Consider me a fan of this store.

Cool Toy Store They have a nice selection of everything for all age groups. The prices are not bad and compete with the big stores. I was looking for LEGO Friends for my niece. I went to several Targets and all of the good sets were sold out. This place had a solid selection left. Mr G’s Toys & Expressions saved the day. They also have a section for touristy LA, UCLA, and USC stuff like magnets, mugs, t-shirts. Something for the tourists staying in DTLA during their visit. This place is located on the street level of the Macy’s plaza, just in from of the Macy’s on the left side, if you come from the main 7th street entrance.

Where else in DTLA are you going to buy toys for a child’s bday party??? They have an amazing selection, it’s pricey but still convenience is what I pay for. They have lots of gifts to choose from for any occassion. If you’re last minute shopping for gifts this is a good spot.

This multi-purpose shop combines a Hallmark-like stationary store(greeting cards, decorations, novelties, figurines) with touristy airport gift shop trinkets(I Love LA memorabilia, USC and UCLA mugs, die cast major airline sets) and a toy store. The toy store offers a wide variety of stuff including educational toys, stuffed animals, board games, cars, action figures, and Hello Kitty items. They also feature several low-cost trinkets and novelties(like cap guns) that would make good stocking stuffers. Service was quick, pleasant and friendly. Overall, Mr. G’s is a pretty good toy store(not overly unique but good variety). Maybe not the best place to take a toddler because there are so many small toys within reach(children may ask their parents to buy them everything here). For parking, Mr. G’s is located in Macy’s Plaza. Macy’s Plaza may have its own parking structure/lot; I am not sure if Mr. G’s validates parking. Non-affiliated parking lots are located nearby and they can go as low as $ 5 per day(depending on where you park).

Recently found this place during lunch one day. Came in to kill some time and see what kind of things they had. Pretty large store, clean, friendly staff, big variety of items ranging from gifts to all ages, to toys, to hello kitty stuff, collectible figurines, and more! Only problem I had was everything seemed a bit pricey for what it was. I would get a gift from here prob only if I had no other choice.

I came here to buy some dinosaur toys after hitting no luck at Target. They had a splendid array, and I found exactly what I wanted! The store was very clean, and they had a LARGE selection of toys, in addition to hair accessories, purses, sunglasses, etc. *Note: Located inside the Macy’s plaza.

*sigh* lifesaver mr g’s toys! this place used to be at the 7th& fig«mall» a yr or 2 ago. than when macys plaza took a big $hit & hit a vacancy, mr g’s swooped in. & rightfully so! i was at macys yesterday last minute bday shopping for my sis(who is impossible to bday-gift please) & slowly accepting defeat in the bday gift war when i remembered mr g’s! so i added the cutest bday card to her bday gift kit. & various hello kitty trinkets. & a «diamond’ bling-ish cutesy keychain. & other little cute stuff all for $ 20 now my sis’s bday bonanza includes 2 more stuffed bday bags! this is DEFINITELY a bday gift lifesaver. if you cant find anything in here for the hardest person on the planet to bday-gift please, then you prob should just kill your worthless self! i will come back again & again & again!
