So glad I found this little gem of a place! Nestled amongst a couple antique shops was the perfect setting to view the new Robert Mapplethorpe exhibit. The gallery was clean, stark, quiet, and beautiful — exactly what I want in a gallery. I was able to spend as much time as I needed(which was quite a while) to get the full effect of what I was viewing. I highly recommend this place :)

Terry Richardson introduces«Terrywood.» The only thing that was upsetting was that they closed at 6PM and I got there around 7PM. I know, I should’ve checked the time they closed. Sadly, the exhibit ends on the 31st and I won’t be back in Los Angeles until May. I would definitely check it out if you’re in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles. From what I could tell from the outside, it’s a very small gallery. And although they were closed, it was nice that they left the lights on to still enjoy through their glass windows. You could see the pieces that were nearest to the windows but aside from they, you’d have to be inside to see the other photographs.

I came to see the Terry Richardson show, «Terrywood,» here, and I wasn’t disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised at the humor in some of the pieces. I also thought the space itself was beautiful — the front of the building is covered with greenery, and, inside the gallery, there is a lot of natural light.
