I’m working on the new Wilshire Grand Tower and I’m always at the highest level so going all the way down for lunch is difficult BUT! this place makes making the trip worth it! you can choose your veggies and rice and then your meat and sauces! I always go with the brown rice, carrots, pickles, lettuce, cilantro, corn and tomato. I choose the bulgogi for protein and for the sauce I choose the KoHot(Korean Hot Sauce). I usually drink an aloe water with my bowl too! its very delicious and it fills you up when youre super hungry! the line is fast and the people who serve are kind! I give it 5 stars for its flavor, selection and service!

I have lunch here at least 2 – 3 times a week. I can not get enough. My favorite is the cilantro dressing(Cilantrology). The price is reasonable. And the service is good.

Love the tofu and salad combo! Place has quick service as well. Great lunch option. The place is a bit hidden in a forgotten food court, but the food is good and the wait is shorter compared to the restaurants at the nearby 7th and fig food court.

Okay, I’m willing to adjust this rating if a manager decides to respond to my comments with reason, but until then here is the story on why I’m giving this place a 1 star. I stepped into the food plaza where I normally go to grab my Noda Sushi fix, and I saw this new restaurant. Thought I’d give it a try since Noda wasn’t offering a daily special I felt like having. I reach the end of the line and proceed to take out my credit card to pay while reading the screen in front of me that just popped up with a Unilocal check-in deal of $ 1 off my purchase. I then tell the cashier, Carmen, that I’d like to check-in to get the $ 1 discount. Carmen tells me, «Oh next time cause there’s a line». There were only 3 customers behind me and they were still making their orders just like in a subway line. I tell her again that I’d like to check-in. But she inconsiderately insists that I do it next time and then without letting me check-in on Unilocal for the discount she swipes my credit card. Offended by this, I indicate that I clearly wanted to check in and she responds by saying, «No, I’ll give it to you next time. You have to have your check-in ready to show and you didn’t.» I tell her that I just saw it, and explain to her that next time is a different instance and I’d like to have my discount now, but all Carmen does is brush it off as it was nothing. She then grimaces with an expression like«you sucker». Sorry mixabowl, that is really poor customer service to the point that it ruined my appetite and is resulting in this 1-star rating. By the way I’m writing this review immediately after it happened and am sitting down tasting the food and it’s only soso(maybe I’m biased with the poor customer experience), but I suggest lunchgoers/diners stick with Noda Sushi cause at least they treat you well and their food is not bad. That or go to Oleego by Parks BBQ at Target Plaza. And by the way Carmen. You insisted that I check-in next time for the discount. But honestly after this poor customer experience there WONTBE A NEXTTIME.

Go to MixaBowl you will not be disappointed! Fresh and Yummy options. I eat here about three times a week, the best is the beef and the peanut sauce. They have brown rice alone with a white rice option. If, you work in DTLA this place is a must.

I don’t typically write reviews for the fast food places I frequent near my work, but I thought I’d give a shout out to Mixabowl, since I’m being a loser eating in front of my computer today. 1st thought upon opening my bowl: SOMUCHFOOD. Throughout my lunch I kept muttering«so much». I had enough left over for a second very satisfying meal today. 2nd thought: so much protein. They really don’t skimp on the protein serving here. There must have been an entire mini chicken in my bowl. Overall, I thought the food was really tasty though I wish they carried Sriracha, which I think would’ve made my bowl even tastier. You don’t really go to this place for the ambiance or décor; it’s just a humble food court that people go to more out of convenience than anything else. This may have just replaced oleego as my go-to Korean fast food spot in DTLA.

This place was pretty good. You have your choice of brown or white rice with or without lettuce. Then you move on to your 5 choices of various vegetables and then a choice of sauce and finally your protein of choice. Place is located inside a small food court and depending on the time of day you will have plenty of seating, since it’s shared with three other eateries. I tried the bulgogi with brown rice & lettuce, added carrots, corn, and I’m forgetting what else but went with the green sauce. It tasted fantastic. Kinda on the cold side though, since the proteins are not hot, more steam based. No parking at all unless you park at a nearby parking lot in another building. Walk here if you can or take the metro since it’s a block away from the 7th and Metro Figueroa and Flower exits. Cash & Credit Accepted.

I’ve been frequently this place because their food is quick, very cheap, healthy and pretty tasty. As other reviewers have mentioned, this fast casual concept is sprouting up all over the place in DTLA. I consider this one of the better ones. I highly recommend getting the cilantro lemon sauce as it is one of my favorites to have here. Another plus is that portions are also HUGE here and I never leave this place feeling hungry after I’ve had one of their bowls. Definitely one of my go to lunch spots!

Another Chipotle-style Asian bowl place… I got my beef bowl with white rice & quinoa, edamame, pickled cucumber, corn, tomato, bean sprouts and peanut sesame for $ 7.89. It was missing something… the sauce is not tasty enough :( QUICKTIP: THEYHAVEMORESEATSUPSTAIRS. Service was semi rude :( 3 stars! Mixabowl is almost yummylicious!

My husband mentioned about this place few times and I finally got to try it. It is sort of like Chipotle style with a Korean twist. You get lettuce and your choice of rice(white and Quinoa or Brown) and 5 toppings(various veggies), your choice of sauce(Cilantro, Sesame, Ranch and Spicy) and your choice of protein(Bulgogi beef, spicy pork, chicken teriyaki, etc). I got a lettuce and white rice, broccoli’s, edamame and cranberries, red lettuce and sprouts with spicy sauce and spicy pork. Once it was done, it was a lot bigger than what I expected and it only cost around $ 7. I am glad I found this place and I will definitely come back next time I am in the area. The staff was nice also even though you need to order it and pick it up like Chipotle. It is in a food court like area in a building, so there are few more shops that you can get foods from and you can find a table to eat in there. We did not have any problem finding a seat when we went. You can get $ 1 off if you show them your Unilocal review. Food: 4 stars Service: 4 stars Atmosphere: 3.5 stars Overall Experience: 4 stars

Fresh and simple Korean lunch bowl. I ordered the Cilantrology which is one of their pre-fixed bowls. For what you get, it is a little cheaper than making a custom bowl. The chicken didn’t have much flavor and was a little bit dry. I should have known better to order chicken at a Korean place. Will definitely give the beef/pork a try next time. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with the meal. Everything tastes really fresh and from what I can tell, low in sodium. Will come again for lunch very soon! Don’t forget to check-in on Unilocal for $ 1 off their bowls!

I came here for lunch while working in DTLA after seeing a colleague eat there yesterday. The concept is similar to Chipotle, Korean style. I thought that it was just ok. My bowl could have used more sauce and the chicken was pretty dry. I did really enjoy the pickled cucumbers and radishes. Maybe I should have gone with the pork!

Korean food… Chipotle style These types of joints are popping up faster than Marijuana shops in Colorado. If you don’t know what that means, go to Denver and drive down any street. Only thing is you may not remember you were in Denver at all after! Seriously though, what is it about people needing to see what exact ingredients go in their bowl. Trust issues? I’m getting a little tired of this kind of business model but I still want it for lunch because it’s safe and fast. Opened 5 days ago in a food court even people who work around it don’t know exist. Fully customized bowls in which you pick goes inside of it. Choose a base of white rice, brown rice, and/or lettuce. Then choose 5 add on ranging from edamame, broccoli, corn, tomatoes, pickles, cilantro, etc. After choose your type of sauce then finally your protein include anything from bulgogi, pork, chicken, and tofu. If you get a bad bowl, it’s kind of your own fault. You designed it. Right?
