I’m Courtney, owner and walker at Misfits & Mutts. This business was born out of the loss of my sweet rescue Stella. When Stella passed away unexpectedly in early 2012, I knew I wanted to dedicate my time to ensuring the dogs of Los Angeles were happy and healthy. I work with a small team of experienced walkers that are equally enthusiastic about pups. Together, we are working to create a higher awareness and appreciation of dogs and their well being.

I hired Courtney to dog-​sit for my Great Danes and my little King Charles spaniel mix. Because of their size, and because of the number of dogs that I have, I am very selective when it comes to who takes care of them when I am out of town. I don’t trust many people, but I’m glad that I trusted Courtney! When I first met Courtney, I realized immediately how nice, cheerful, and personable she is. And more importantly, my dogs loved her and instantly bonded with her. When I was out of town, Courtney kept me updated on how they were doing, and she sent me cute pictures of them so that I wouldn’t miss them quite so much. She definitely makes it so that I don’t worry about my «babies» when I’m out of town, and she helps put my mind at ease. Courtney is kind, compassionate, and understanding of dogs’ (and their owners’) needs. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a good dog-​sitter.

Courtney is a fantastic dog sitter! We moved to California last year with our dog and wasn’t sure who we were going to find to watch our dog during the day while we were at work. A local pet store recommended Courtney and boy were they right!
Courtney walks our dog every weekday and is not only unbelievably reliable, but also a great caretaker of our little guy. She sends us text and photo updates of our dog every single day, fills his water bowl, and keeps us updated on his health in case she notices anything out of sorts.
She also brings delivered packages inside and is flexible with her schedule. Our dog loves her and we couldn’t be happier to have her taking care of our dog!

Courtney took my dog on daily walks while I worked and my boyfriend was out of town for a week. Seven (my wiener/​shitzhu furbaby) will wag his tail for just about any stranger, but he won’t cuddle up to any one but me, except Courtney that is! She’s absolutely gifted when it comes to speaking dog. She’s kind and loving and seems to really care about all of her clients and their babies. She sent me frequent pictures (which are better than any I’ve been able to capture) and even fed my little guy when I wasn’t able to come home early enough for his feeding. I will use her next chance I get (possibly for dog sitting too when we travel!) and will refer her to anyone who needs a doggy god mother!

I could write for hours about what a blessing Courtney is to me and my dogs. As a previous owner of a dogsitting company and a sometimes overly crazy dog mom (with two high maintance large dogs) the most stressful part of moving back to LA was finding someone to trust who would love my dogs. I travel a lot for work and had no choice but to find someone. I could not be happier with Courtney!!! I interviewed people and was quickly coming to the conclusion that my expectations may have been unrealistic until I met her, she has surpassed them in every way. She is the responsible, animal loving, thoughtful and dependable person I needed. It is the best feeling in the world to leave home and not have to worry about a thing because not only do I know Courtney can be trusted in my home but that she remembers ever detail of what to do with the dogs, checks in with me frequently and gives them the love they need when I am gone. My boys and I have had the pleasure of knowing Courtney and using her services for about six months so far. Courtney is extremely reliable and always there for my boys both on their scheduled walk days and when I’m in a bind and need to stay at the office late. One of my dogs is extremely hesitant with new people and Courtney definitely rose to the challenge and quickly earned his trust. She is great at giving me updates and is always easy to communicate with.

Look no further for any of your dog walking needs! After looking through several reviews, I trusted Unilocal and got in contact with Courtney. In the beginning, my boyfriend and I were a little skeptical about looking for a dog walker for our playful pittbull Zeus, but Courtney definitely helped us feel comfortable leaving him for 3 weeks! Courtney was so easy to work and is the sweetest!!! You can tell she has a lot of experience with animals and cares about them a lot! She even sent us a few pictures of our big guy while we were away! We loved that!
She does the initial meet and greet to make sure your furry family member feels comfortable with her. Zeus loved her right away! After a long trip, we came home to our Zeus and he looked really good and well taken care of! We would call Courtney again for any of our future dog walking needs — I definitely recommend you do the same! :)

Courtney is Heaven Sent! She took care of my Chelsea for a whole week. Taking her out on morning walks with her own dog, Syd, and giving her lots of love and attention. Chelsea was still learning how to potty train, but after a week with Syd, she learned the ropes. I was glad that Courtney was very patient with her especially because Chelsea is a Rat Terrier with a crazy amount of Energy!
This woman cares a lot about dogs and is a professional when it comes to Dog Walking and Dog Sitting. I highly recommend hiring Courtney and Misfits and Mutts as your Dog Walker. She will love, and take care of your dog as her very own.

My Mumsy LOVES Courtney! Courtney helped me out when I had a month of working super long days. I never had to worry about my pup, and knew she was well taken care of everyday.
My dog is super active and can be a little bit of a handful but I felt very comfortable knowing that Courtney was walking her and could control her.
She was great working around my crazy schedule too!

Courtney has been watching our dogs for years now. I wholeheartedly trust her with them and don’t hesitate to call her when a trip is planned. She does it all, house visits, day walks, extended dog sitting. The relationship she has with her dog Sydney is all the proof you’ll need to understand how amazing she is with pups! Courtney is an amazing friend to your animal! Frank the Tank gets so excited when he sees her and Syd coming over for their walks and Frankie doesn’t tend do well with anyone other than me or my wife. As skittish as he is with others, he LOVES Courtney!
If you work long hours like I do and worry about your pup at home, let M&M get them out of the house. Frankie needs to let out all of his energy and M&M gives him that outlet while also giving me the comfort of knowing he’s having a great time mid-​day while I’m away at work.
