Just had breakfast bagel #4 on the menu, boyfriend had breakfast sandwich on a really fresh french baguette. Holy smokes. What a delight! And such a great location — where ALL the Metro lines meet! Finding this modest, little place is like finding buried treasure on a desert island. So tiny, yet the menu is huge and the food is divine. Yes, Marie. Yes, yes, yes!

This place is a hidden gem in DTLA! My co-workers raved about this place and I haven’t had a chance to try it until today! I went here with a friend and ordered the lunch special with a Pesto Chicken Sandwich while my friend ordered the Pork Belly Banh Mi. The lunch special included half of a sandwich, a side soup/salad, and a small pasta salad. We were able to choose the type of bread for the sandwiches!(They have baguettes here!) I got a fruit salad as my side and also ordered a strawberry banana smoothie, while my friend got some fresh squeezed orange juice. We both got our food in 10 mins. We were both really happy with our orders! They were filling and delicious! The pork belly banh mi is comparable with the ones served at Mendocino Farms — just less expensive! I was amazed at how large my side of fruit salad was! The fruits were very fresh and sweet! I will definitely come back here in the future to try their breakfast sandwiches and different lunch options!

A sandwich shop that reminds me of home(NY bagels). A no-frills sandwich shop that makes a fat sandwich that leaves you completely satisfied. Quick service, great breakfast sandwiches, and a good place if you’re looking to pick-up a lunch to take back to the office. If you’re looking for high-end, people watching, LA atmosphere — this place isn’t it and it doesn’t try to be. If you want a satisfying meal that will keep you going all day and you care about your time, this this is your spot.

So glad this place exists right next to my new office building! It has been my go-to for breakfast bagels and smoothies in the morning. The prices are very reasonable, service is fast, and its clean, can’t really ask for more in a breakfast joint!

I’m a sucker for a good sandwich! This place does not disappoint. I had one of the best turkey clubs I’ve ever had in life. EVER! Not to mention their breakfast croissant sandwiches/bagels. Super yummy! As far as drinks go, their chai latte is amazing! 10 times better than Starbucks. I usually get mine over ice. I’m not a huge coffee drinker but their house coffee is pretty good as well.

Their bahn mi is yummy although my coworkers rave about their balsamic vinaigrette over salad and chicken salad sandwich.

Clean, Spacious, & Affordable! I love that they add cream cheese to your bagel! The coffee is strong too! The place has upstairs seating with a bit more privacy. This is officially my new Morning spot.

This little adorable restaurant is my favorite place in DTLA. And I’ve eaten at all the surrounding restaurants around my work. The quality and flavor is unforgettable. Prices are great and way cheaper than other sandwich places in the area and their food knocks any restaurant out of the water. If you want a good sandwich, go here! Super quick too, great atmosphere. Come grab a bite

Was walking to the train station and happened upon this little hole-in-the-wall café. Ordered a sandwich(prosciutto) and an orange juice. To my surprise the juice was fresh-squeezed! It was delicious! And my sandwich was too. Highly recommend stopping by. They have a great variety of breakfast choices and also coffees and lattes :)

Best sandwiches downtown and very friendly staff! Tuna, chicken pesto, and chicken gouda avocado are some of my favorites. The line can get kind of long around the lunch hour, but the place is a well-oiled machine and it is well worth the wait! Good for dining in as they have a lot of seating up stairs. Highly recommend for a quick lunch!

I love this place! I always get my banh mi here. I ask for extra daikons, but sometimes they put way too many jalapeños so watch out for that. They also put lots of mayo in the sandwich so you want to ask them to not put that in there. It’s always busy when I come here so try to come after 1 if you want to get a seat and not wait too long.

Just stopped in for the first time after being in DTLA for more than 4 years. This place is a small secret treasure with a New York feel. If you need to dine in, there’s seating on the first level and a staircase to more seating. The food is fresh and they make it just as quick as any Starbucks on a busy day. The pricing is just below that of Starbucks so it’s worth every penny if you’re looking for a fresh deal. The Chai Tea latte is one of the best I’ve had in LA and the food is absolutely de-lish!

Came to this hole-in-the-wall spot on the recommendation of multiple people. Hell, a sandwich isn’t TOO overly filling right? Anywho, I don’t usually wax lyrically about sandwiches, but holy hell Marie’s knows how to make a damn sandwich! Had probably the best chicken pesto sandwich(bonus points for having sourdough wheat bread!) I’ve ever had. The chicken breast was plentiful and not dry at all, pesto aioli complimented it pretty well. Plus they even had the option to toast it! They’re fast, friendly, and actually take American Express! I think next time I will have to indulge with this pork belly banh mi.

Platform Nine and Three Quarters Walk by here everyday for the last two years and had no idea this was here wedged between Octopus and Famima. It even has a second floor to eat! Given that everytime I’m walking along that block I’m trying not to get mugged or spat on by a crazy person, makes sense that I never saw it. It’s like in Harry Potter Platform 9 and ¾ where you have to know where you’re going to find it. Don’t talk rubbish! There is no platform nine and three quarters! B&B Bagels and pork belly Banh Mi! And of course the chicken pesto sandwich! When was the last time you had a warm chicken sandwich where the chicken was moist and when you open the sandwich up the chicken is glistening and steam oozes thru the sandwich? Egg-xactly! The pork belly banh mi might be one of the best in downtown… finally a shop that represents the true«banh mi» like it’s supposed to!

I found a new lunch place in downtown LA, thanks to my Unilocal friends. Located next to Octopus, Marie’s Deli is a mom and pop sandwich place. The line is usually long when you come during lunch rush, but it moves fairly fast. There is a lady that takes your order before you reach the register. Sandwich combo($ 7.99): I got BLAT sandwich and a cup of potato soup. Served with saltine crackers, the potato soup was just average. . BLAT($ 7.69) bacon, organic green tomatoes, avocado & mayo on baguette, wheat or sourdough wheat. My sandwich was perfect! The bacon slices were so crispy and I didn’t feel guilty eating them. It came with pesto salad, but it was meh. I wish they would serve it with a yummy potato salad I also got a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice($ 3.25) for my dessert :) Lunch combo options : Half sandwich(chicken salad, curry chicken salad, tuna salad, egg salad, chicken pesto, ham & cheese, veggie, caprese or BLTA) with your choice of one side: small green salad, small mixed greens, cup of soup, fruit salad, veggie pasta, pesto pasta. I came back for more BLAT sandwich the next day. QUICKTIP: LOCATEDBETWEENFAMIMAANDOCTOPUS. 4 stars! Cheap and fast lunch option in downtown LA. Marie’s Deli is yummylicious!

*update* Went to try another sandwich and got the pork belly banh mi. It was SOGOOD. Got the bun toasted and mayo on the side, really really good and generously stuffed with pickled veggies. Was also spicy with the jalapeños in there(so ask for none if you can’t handle the heat!) also spoke with the owner Marie and she’s great and very humble. Will keep coming back!

Love love love love places like these. It is a trendy spot that serves simple food, simple refreshments, and classic counter service, i am being sarcastic. This place is a café, scratch deli off the title. Just because they make a decent sammich don’t make em a deli. The food options are simple… Breakfast or Lunch. I like the breakfast here. You can choose bagel, white bread, wheat bread and some other crap. Then have them fill it up. My go to morning sammich is egg whites, queso, and tomato. And if i am feeling gangsta, add some bacon. This set up runs for $ 5.00 Sad cause we can all make a dozen or so for $ 5 bucks!!!

I am absolutely in love with the #4 bagel sandwich(Cream Cheese, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Avocado, Sprouts & Lemon Pepper). I was hungry, pulled up my Unilocal app to see what was good and Marie’s showed up. When I got there, I just asked the cashier to recommend something and that is how I was introduced to that delicious #4. That lemon pepper is divine and just really brightens up the sandwich in the best way possible. It was so good that I went back the next day to get another one! One thing though, the first time I had it, I had it on an everything bagel which was awesome! Second time, they were out of the everything so I picked the jalapeño bagel(what was I thinking?) and that the strong flavor masked the deliciousness of the content. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

Recently changed my usual order to the Chicken Gouda on baguette. I’m not normally one to exaggerate, but it was actually better than sex. And, believe me, I’ve had some amazing sex in my time. Next week, I plan to upgrade to Chicken Gouda with Avocado. I shudder to think what effect its going to have on me, but I’m very much looking forward to finding out.

Located on the bustling corner of 7th and Flower, it’s a great place to come in for a hearty and filling breakfast with coffee to start your busy LA-life day. I got a veggie breakfast bagel sandwich, that came on your choice of bagel, with egg, cheese, red onion, avocado, and tomato. Very delicious and filling, a sandwich I would get again in the future. I also got a coffee, which came out piping hot! Parking is a bit of a bear, especially during the morning rush hour. We found parking on 7th, just west of the restaurant. They take credit/debit, no minimum. I would like to come back to try other bagels and their lunch sandwiches, such as the chicken pesto sandwich and their banh mis.
