It is a calm and normal restaurant. Not really much to say but the food is good. It was cheap, though it did lack some serving size. They only gave me some rice and lettuce with my chicken. It was good just that it was so small the serving.

This is a complete hole-in-the-wall that makes decent Central American and Mexican food. I usually order to go. They are reliable for their carne asada plates, the spareribs in green sauce, and I also like ordering their fried yuca(cassava). There is zero ambience and they only speak Spanish. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there, but when I need a tasty home-style meal without too many frills and easy on the wallet, Mariana’s does the trick.

9PM and I’m hungry in a quiet little area near downtown. Is that little Salvadoran place open? Jackpot! Just one gal working as cook, waitress and chief dish washer. Very relaxed vibe and wonderfully low key service. I got a relleno de guisquil. In Mexico it’d be a chayote but Salvadorans have another name for it. It was happily filling and I got to be entertained by the two sweet kiddos that were part of the only other group here this late. A positively delightful night.
