Love this place. I will never step foot in the USPS office 3 or so blocks down on Riverside (other than many times of horrible and disgusting customer service). This place is all around amazing. Who doesn’t love a place that knows your name after coming in a few times? The staff is knowledgable and personable. They are reliable and get the job done and do anything to help! Thank you for your services — I highly recommend!

I will never go to the post office again! Everyone here is so pleasant and helpful. I can’t imagine putting myself through the terrors of the post office after this wonderful experience.

Had a PO box here int he 90s, came back and my number was available so got the same box! The staff is always friendly and know instantly if I have a package waiting and by the time I open my box, they have found it and have it at the counter.
The notary experience was also the best I have ever had.
If you need a PO Box who can also take your UPS/​Fedex deliveries, this is your place!

Been there many times, the service has always been a little slow., but they typically get you what you need. I was there recently to have a document notarized, and they wigged out a bit that it was from out of state (even though they had handled OOS documents for me previously). The only way they were willing to notarize it was to break it into two parts so they could include some language required by California (even though it wasn’t a California document). Fine, whatever, I needed it done. The rub — they wanted to charge me double for notarizing what my one document that they decided to turn into two. They were never cheap, but this was the last straw. I walked two blocks over to the UPS store and had the document notarized in two minutes with no problem. I had been a long time customer of Mailbox Toluca Lake — I will not be back.

Good to know that people do still care. Moved recently and some of my mail is still coming to this old address. Staff is great about saving it and notifying me to come pick it up. Thanks all for continued customer service!

Horrific Services and Anti-​Customers!
A female said her name is Sarah. She is so rude I wondered how did she get that job to destroy business? Her conduct is outrageous and no one should tolerate her abuse. STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND MailBoxes 2.0

The customer service here is unparalleled, especially for L.A. They remember me when I come in (I have only been twice, mind you), have offered curbside service to help unload large shipping boxes, last-​minute notary services, and also rent mailboxes of course ;) They will work with you to save money when packing/​shipping, etc., and even threw in a couple of candles as gifts because I spent so much money shipping a package there recently. I mean, come on?! The owner is extremely nice, as is his staff. Random side note: they sell throat lozenges and sprays for singers that I’ve been unable to find anywhere else. A well-​known vocal coach to the stars sends his students there apparently, ha! So random and L.A., right? And yet you receive customer service worthy of the small town I grew up in. Quite the paradox!

When I needed to get a document notarized last minute and was at work in Burbank, I checked out the reviews for Mailbox Toluca Lake and figured everyone’s high praise was worth my business. It was!
The store is very small and it was hard to be in line and have other people come in and get to mailboxes, but for what the store is, the business model works. There wasn’t any parking for this so either street parking, or there are some lots around for other businesses and I risked it and parked at Wells Fargo. I thought it would only take a few minutes. I was wrong.
I was in the store at least 20 minutes. and there were only two customers ahead of me, one of whom was being helped when I walked in. Don’t get me wrong, they give EXCELLENT customer service. It is so excellent that it takes time for them to process each request and they do it with great pride and very well. I just happened to be in a bit of a hurry and after waiting for 10 minutes as they barely finished up with the first request, I felt I had already invested the time and should just wait until the woman in front of me was helped rather than try to figure out a faster place to go.
After her 10 minute or so request, I was up. As I said, excellent customer service. I didn’t just get my document notarzied, I got an education in notary: what he was all doing and why, various clientel past and present, and how he operates his business differently than most other folks who just quickly get the job done without paying attention to the details. I walked out with the most offiical looking document I’ve ever held and almost felt unworthy of it! I brought it home and even the wife was impressed.
If you have something important to notarize go here and leave ample time to be served as well as bring ample quarters for meter parking. Oh, and someone had complained on Unilocal that this place stunk. Rest assured, they solved that problem! They now sell the largest collection of candles and other scented products I think I have ever seen at a postal facility. It smells very pleasant in there!

Jonathan and crew will entertain you literally every time you walk in. Their mailbox service is awesome… they’ll go the extra mile any time you need anything. They know how to treat people well. The place also functions as a one-​stop gift shop with tons of cool candles and things. Theres always a fun vibe around the shop. It’s hard to explain, but once you get a mailbox there, you’ll never want to go anywhere else.

Wow! If there were more businesses out there like this, the world would be a much friendlier and happier place. Basically, Jonathan (the owner) and his crew are like family and do away with all the impersonal and stingy treatment that many other businesses display. They have personalized service and will help you in any way they can. They all really care, as they go out of their way to serve you. I chose them after being so fed up with the USPS, which can sometimes feel like the DMV, that I absolutely DREADED having to go there. I chose Mailbox Toluca soley on the outstanding reviews, site unseen! Lol. And they have exceeded my expectations, saving me soooo much grief! It’s well worth paying a little more for a private PO box. They know you by name, and will literally go out of their way to be sure you are happy. They are just genuine, friendly, down-​to-​earth, but professional people. This is a really refreshing experience to have a few times a week living in an otherwise callous big-​city environment. I honestly think it would statistically increase our lifespan if most businesses operated this way. They have a positive attitude and decrease your life-​stress factor. I LOVE them, and I will continue to stay with them as long as I live in the area!

This little company makes shipping things – an inherently uninteresting and tedious experience – actually pleasant. They have wonderful customer service and a basket of cookies up front, as other reviewers have noted. Due to my tendency to wait until the last minute to ship things, as well as my inability to ever find the right sized box and my roll of packing tape when I need it, I’ve had to take a number of oddly shaped and poorly executed packages to them to wrap and ship. They always take great care to protect the items, be fair with their pricing, and advise you of your shipping options. I never have to wait in line, stress about finding parking, or deal with unpleasant people (like those in the post office a block away). They are fine with my bringing my little dog in on a leash, which is not allowed at Fed Ex or the post office. Plus, if you need a card or little gift they’ve got that stuff too. I love them.

I only use notary services here but have always experienced great service. This place is so friendly, everyone knows everyone else and they are all really nice. The notary prices are great too.

We used this location to copy keys for our new apartment… and they provided us with keys and so much more. A plethora of boxes and moving supplies at a fraction of the expected cost, all provided with super-​friendly service and genuine kindness. A really lovely place and a nice addition to the neighborhood. The free candles didn’t hurt either…

Great place and I have peace of mind that my packages/​mail are taken care of when I’m not home to sign for them. The staff are always polite and very helpful even when I forgot my key one day, it wasn’t a big deal.

This place blows! My friend and I went in there to get keys copied and they charged us $ 4 for EACH key! PLUS, the keys didn’t even work well! Then we went to get our money back and the manager said he was going to send one of his workers with us to try the keys out! Yeah, that’s exactly what I wanted to do… take some strange guy back to my apartment, show him where I live and let him try out my key. What the what?!? THEN, when we asked for our money back, he was a dollar short… and a day late on how to manage a business. No wonder no one is ever in there! The place smells bad too. P U!

Hey, a place where everybody knows your name and you get free cookies — not only can I count on Jonathan and his team — Andrew & Ian, to watch out for my mail and packages, but it’s a great one-​stop shopping center of novelty items where I often buy gifts (lipstick cases shaped like purses, fun jewelry, purses & shawls) & colorful swing cards and those little anti-​stress balls you toss in the air and they change color. They’re great.
