Magic fix auto repair was recommended by a family member. Rafik was fantastic, delivered excellent customer service and came across as knowledgeable and honest. He diagnosed my car and got it running, though didn’t do any repair work he recommended because I ended up selling my car as is, so I cannot vouch for quality of repair work. With that said, I would go back to to rafik in the future for any car repair needs because I had such a positive experience.

I highly, highly recommend these folks. I have taken my car in for oil changes and check-​up on three different occasions. They are very thorough and fairly priced for the work they perform, but more impressive are the items they I insisted I take back to the dealership to have performed under warranty. On one occasion, the dealership tried to claim there was not a problem and Rafik spoke with the mechanic over the phone to explain exactly what was wrong and he was right! It was repaired under warranty.
For any repairs required and not covered under the warranty, or once the warranty expires, this father and son team will be the only mechanics I allow to touch my car as long as I own it.

Wasn’t sure if I should give 1 or 2 stars… Probably one, but I’ll give two because at least they’re nice. I took my Honda here a couple years ago and Raffi told me all of the problems and his recommendations. The service was great. So naturally I’d return with my current car an 08 Scion.
I knew the brakes were really bad and needed to be replaced, probably all around. I expected that and it was the case, I also needed new rotors and an oil change. The cost came out to about $ 450… Steep, but I figured my car needed it and at the moment I could afford it.
I drive off and within 2 – 3 days my brakes are squeaking and grinding. I take it back in that week and they tell me one of the pads was defective, no charge. Ok, no problem. There’s no more grinding and no more squeak.
A few weeks go by and I start to here the squeak again. I have to drive my car literally every day for work… I don’t have the time to keep going back to this shop. So finally, I take the car in for the squeak and tell them what is going on. I have no idea why but on that day only my car did not make one sound while we did a test drive. They said they’d take everything off and clean it anyway, make sure there were no problems. Apparently there were none and my car was good to go.
The next day the squeak is back in full affect! It squeaks when braking slowly, when turning in or out of places, when backing up. It’s loud, people stare and I have no idea what it’s from. I wasn’t going to write a review at all, simply take my car somewhere else. That is, until today.
I took my car in for an oil change (at Glendale Lube) a little over 5000 miles after, like Raffi said. Mind you, I have topped off the car with oil my self, as to not run out. While I’m checking out for my oil change the woman tells me I haven’t been in for 11 000 miles. I told her I had the oild changed about 5000 miles ago. She said the oil was so dirty it looked as if it hadn’t been changed at all and recommend i never go back to wherever it had been done at.
So not only will I never return for an oil change here, but I will be taking all of my business elsewhere.

I was given a card to Rafik’s shop from a friend who received it from a Professor at PCC. I took my old car to Rafik and he was very honest with me about what was wrong with it. There was a a lot wrong with my car. He fixed what he was able to in order to keep it running, but warned me that the car was on its last leg. I made the mistake of taking my car to another shop recently and was completely ripped off! The shop is on Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena near PCC. They kept my car for 4 days to make it smog passable and charged $ 724! All they did was change the air filter, a hose and make an adjustment. I took it back to Rafik who told me the repairs were unnecessary. The car was not worth fixing at all. The other shop promised to make it work «like new» for another $ 1200. Rafik was honest and told me that no amount of money would fix my car as it was old and there was too much wrong with it. The car was a 1996 Toyota Camry that I had bought used from Craigslist. It was not in the best condition when I purchased it, but it did run for 8 years. I opted to retire it and receive $ 1000 from the state instead of investing another dime in it. Now Raffi could have lied to me like the other shop and took my money to put a bandaid on the car so that it would run for a few more months and then I would have to pay more to keep it running, but instead of lying he was honest. He told me the car was not safe to drive and that I could cause an accident if I continued to drive it. The cost to fix everything would be well over what the car was even valued at.
I have sent friends to Rafik who also had similar experiences and love the work he does. I have been to many mechanics over the years and it is so hard to find an honest one. If there is a mistake he will fix it because his reputation is important to him. Heck, he is even helping me find another car. How many mechanics will take the time to do that?

My car was having issues on a Saturday around 4:30. Most mechanic shops close early on Saturdays but I was so thankful to have found magic fix auto repair. Rafik was very helpful and accommodating. I had my car towed here and within a few hours the problem was fixed. Rafik is honest and genuine, if you’re having any car troubles this is the place to be.

They are a good mechanic shop that took care of My needs, the service is very friendly. I do however need them to check on a slight problem I’m having with the service they did on My car but I’m sure they will take care of My car when I return to have them check it out soon. I would recommend Magic Fix Auto Repair for all your auto mechanic needs.

Mechanics, Doctors and Lawyers can ruin your life in less than 3 minutes. These people at MAGIC FIX are amazing. I had one of the most difficult cars to work on a 1993 Twin Turbo Nissan 300zx. It was a beauty, and had seen 2 mechanics prior to Raffic. Both mechanics lied, got paid and were not able to work on the motor simply because it is one of the most difficult and sophisticated cars Japan has ever manufactured.
It was not an easy job, I am sure this man did not make money on the job however he promised me put an engine in at a certain time, anything issue that came up he took upon himself and did not charge me an extra penny. It was a very labor intensive job, took up a lot of his time and space in his shop which disabled him from working on other customer vehicles.
He did the following:
Replaced Motor: Twin Turbo
Replaced all fuel injectors w/​pigtails
Replaced EGR Valve
Replaced Oxygen Sensors
Replaced Turbos
Replaced All hoses
Replaced Motor Mounts
Replaced Exhaust System
After completing job, he followed up with me more than a few times to make sure the car ran properly. During the completion of the vehicle he had an emergency trip overseas, he even called me from his home country to ask me if everything was fine and if I needed anything that his brother will take care of me.
I strongly recommend Magic Fix for your cars, they are very honest and that is the first step to trusting someone with your car!

My experience here was the worst of any mechanic I have ever been to. Rafik did not explain the problem with my car or document the charges clearly. I brought my car in to be looked at another day and it was returned to me with the driver side mirror on the passenger seat. He offered to fix it, then replaced it with an upside down mirror from a different vehicle. I won’t get a ticket, but it lowered the value of appearance of my car.
Finally, I took my car in to be diagnosed for another problem and when I called to find out what needed to be done, he tells me I need to pay him an additional diagnostic fee.
This is my closest mechanic, but I am going to wait and drive my car to the mechanic I know and trust in Burbank. Chalard’s Auto.
I will never go back here.

I tried 3 different mechanics in Los Angeles and so far Raffi has been the best. I went to Raffi when my old Toyota Camry radiator had a fracture and I needed to change it. I was getting price quotes from different mechanics and what Raffi gave me was by far cheaper and better than the others. When I told him that I have problems with my smog test he worked closely with his next door smog test to find out the problem and fix it. He is honest, kind and fair.

I came to this shop to put some coolant in my car… It was totally by accident and I gotta say I really lucked out! Not only did they offer to put the coolant in for me but they checked my oil and added that as well. Didn’t charge me for labor or try to up sell me at all! They also only charged me for the amount of fluid I needed rather than the entire container. Rafik introduced himself to me and we have the same car which makes me feel like he know what’s up! I have some things to do to my car soon, I’m definitely going back to Rafik! Totally 5 stars, I’d give 10 if I could!

I always take my car to Magic Fix because I trust Rafik’s workmanship and integrity. On more than one occasion, Rafik has saved me from getting swindled out of serious money by other shops trying to upsell me stuff I didn’t need. (As another reviewer mentioned, it can be difficult for a single woman to find an honest mechanic.) At the same time, he won’t scrimp if he thinks a shortcut or a cheaper part would compromise my safety or the longevity of my car. He is considerate of the customer’s pocketbook but also makes sure the job is done correctly. He always gives me the real scoop, and I appreciate that.
When I pick up my car, Rafik takes ample time to explain what he did, show me the old parts (which is educational for me in addition to proving his honesty), and make his recommendations for future care and maintenance. He is easygoing and polite, very professional. My parents also go here and are pleased.

If you are reading this review, do yourself a favor and go see Rafik. He’s been our mechanic for 3 years. Before him I had the same mechanic for 20 years until 3 years ago when I realized Rafik charged me even less than the mechanic I had who I thought was wonderful. Rafik has even driven to me when I hit a curb and blew the tire out (yes not my most proud moment) changed my tire, put the spare on and off I went to my appointment I was almost late for. Didn’t even charge me for that. AAA would have taken a hour. Who does that? Nobody that’s who, except Rafik. Trust him with both my cars. Best mechanic within 30 miles.

I have only used this company once (so far) for an oil change on my Fiat 500. It cost $ 45 all in. It seemed reasonable and Rafik was friendly, quick and efficient. I asked for a quote on a small dent on the front right corner of my car and he quoted $ 100 which seems very fair. I haven’t had the work done yet but will post again on that experience.

This shop is in the mobile gas station on colorado blvd, i came the first time to this shop accidentally for an oil change but i became a regular customer ever since me n my wife, rafik is very nice considerate man doesn’t try to rip u off or anything n his work is awesome, i highly recommend him for all yr car problems or oil change this guy knows what he is doing

If I could I would give this business 10 stars. I am super stoked to have stumbled across Rafik after hearing a bad noise in my Kia Rio. I didn’t know where to go but I needed somewhere close to my home. There were several auto repair businesses in the area all with good reviews, and I had no idea which to choose. It’s unnerving when you’re a single female, you worry you may get taken advantage of.
I did not even read about or see Magic Fix on my map but I drove in here because it happened to be right in front of me and I just needed to get it done.
Now I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else and I am telling all my friends to go to Rafik also. He is really kind and helpful and honest, and he took time to call around to get the best possible price for me, I really appreciate it.
He did a ton of work on my car for an excellent price and is a real gentleman into the bargain. He goes out of his way to give excellent customer service. Thank you so much Rafik!

I have been going to this mechanic for over 5 years because frankly he is the only mechanic i trust. I have heard all the horror stories with bad mechanics… but not Raffi.
