Madison Toluca Apartments, LLC

I have lived her for over a year now, we had issues with a previous manager Julie BUT sense Jennifer has become manager there has been not one issue. She is a great manager and cares about her tenets. Hope she’s here to stay! We love living here and she is a positive plus for Madison Toluca :)

The Madison Toluca apartments were a decent place to live for a season of my life, I lived there from Sept 2012 to March 2015 thus I think that I have some insights to offer. During my stay they complex went through 3 managers; each were great communicators and felt took care of me. Even a recent lost e-​mail was followed up from the current manager Julie who went above and beyond to make things right, thus I have since modified this review however will still be objective regarding some issues that lacked while highlighting the good parts too.
From what I understand the owners of the building make some interest choices which I think affects this from being a superb place to live that would revival other high end complex. Unfortunately I found they simply adjust their rents solely on what others in the area are charging instead of really considering what those complexes have (spa, pools, bigger weight room, community rooms) that Madison doesn’t have. They did some changes late 2014 such as getting smaller toilets to cut on water efficiency and the company they hired did something to the pipes which caused the water to take longer to get hot.
However one thing Madison does have which makes it nice is the apartments come with a refrigerator, microwave, washer & dryers and central air in every unit. You would be surprised how that is truly a luxury that other apartments do not offer. The things I enjoyed when living here were the parking garage was very well lit, the upstairs patio/​BBQ was always maintained and it had a decent (yet small) gym. The bathrooms also were really nice and the master bedroom bathroom is spacious.
I moved for a few reasons but one being that the rents kept getting raised continuously for no real reason, thus older residents would move out and a new crop of younger tenants moved in who treated the complex more like a college dorm room than upscale living.

I have lived here just shy of a year and I am very grateful for this apartment complex. Very Thankful for the easy parking around the building, great community, lots of stores or restaurants in walking distance, living space and the building. When things need to get done and address… the property manager Julie (which is amazing) gets it done and makes it easy to be comfortable and be a home for you. Thank you. A great complex and home. We absolutely LOVE our apartment her at Madison Toluca. It has exceeded our expectations. I found it online from Texas and Julie, the apartment manager, has been amazing. I had many questions as we were traveling from Texas and Julie was professional and patient every step of the way. We flew in and did the walk through and signed our contract the same day.
The grounds are beautifully maintained and immediate attention is given to any problems or concerns you may have.
I highly recommend Madison Taluca for your LA home.

I have lived in this complex shy of a year and haven’t had any problems.
When items broke we e-​mailed the property manger Julie and she was quick to the fix them for us (garbage disposal, dryer vent)
The neighborhood is quite, the neighbors in the building are quite 99% of the time.
There is plenty of parking on the streets for guests and the rooftops are AMAZING. Fire pit and grills for all to use. Gym is nice has everything you need.
I am only moving out because we need a 4 bdrm place now.

I was really excited to look at this place so I tried to set up an appointment with the leasing agent. She emailed back quickly, but with completely different prices than what the website was saying. When I pointed it out she literally wrote «The pricing online are not accurate pricings»…
UMMMM then fix them??? Why are you wasting everyone’s time??!

Management is absolutely insincere
Count on A discriminatory background check.
It literally takes 2 — 3 minutes of running the hot tap water before the water actually becomes hot. (Unbelievable knowing the building is nearly brand new)
They do not offer recycling!
No accountability to their renters and don’t even for a minute expect to get your deposit back even if you leave the unit spotless when you move out.
Neighbors are unfriendly. heaven forbid you listen to music in your house during the day and ANYBODY happens to hear it. Expect a formal citation from management and an eviction threat. Shameful group of neighbors who can’t exhibit the curtesy of knock on the door and a polite request to lower some music.

They lie, they are cheats, I lived there a year, didn’t hang one picture and they charged me for painting when I moved out. They lied about the rent, and the apartment I was to get. They promised me a new parking space instead they gave someone else mine.
It’s poorly constructed, and very expensive. No storage. An elevator that breaks down constantly. The area it’s in I nicknamed «death row», mostly skilled nursing, assisted living and hospice care. Good things for society but I don’t want to see it every waking moment.
The automatic garage door broke frequently and in spite of a locked garage cars were broken into.
In an emergency there is no one close by, the maintenance guy lives in Palmdale.
