Any positive reviews this place has are literally fake reviews from friends of the employees. This place is just awful. First off, the employees are UGLY. Plain and simple. Like, shouldn’t looking good be part of your job description? Shouldn’t your makeup be flawless, as you are literally a walking advertisement for the company you represent? Bushy eyebrows, huge pores, botchy makeup application, sagging under eyes, clown cheeks. Who tf hires these people? MAC recruitment has certainly gone downhill. Ronnie is a total jerk, the rudest person I have ever encountered. Gives customers salty looks, like he is superior to everyone. Has a condescending tone of voice. He should seriously get fired since he clearly doesn’t care about his job. Honey, you work at MAC. You are not a politician, inventor, teacher, or anything important or valuable to society. You probably still live at home and are currently getting your aesthetician license from some busted community college. So relax, you are not better than anyone. I would rather buy makeup from the security guard than from you. On top of the heinous looking employees and crap customer service, the place is a pig sty. Floors are caked with dirt. Make-​up displays are dirty and unorganized. So gross. In conclusion: this place sucks. End rant.

This has become my favorite M.A.C store all thanks to their gem, Rose! I am so glad I crossed paths with her. There is nothing more I appreciate than someone who knows their products, maintains professional, yet has you feeling all types of ways… like where have you been all my life?! Thank you for taking the time to help me find the right products for skin, and making me look my very best. I will be back for you, I mean, to try some more new products. Thank you from the bottom of my Corazon, girl!

This MAC store is amazing! Everybody there is eager to help and they ALWAYS find you what you need. They’re also sure to mention any cool events that are coming up which is nice. My favorite is Vicky! She knows everything and always has fantastic recommendations if you aren’t completely sure what you’re looking for. Roni is my other go-​to. Overall I always leave with products that I’m happy with.

I am writing to simply review the customer service received at this MAC store. My recyclables were not accepted because one of them was a makeup brush. I CALLED in before going in all the way to the store and spoke to an employee named SOLOMON and I asked specifically if I can bring a brush in as a recyclable and he said yes. Once there, a very rude associate did not accept it. I explained that I called first and gave the other associates name. He didn’t care and said he’s a manager and what he says goes. Lol. Well, Ronnie, refused to give me his managers’ name (the district manager) and refused his last name — sassily replied, «you don’t need to know my last name.» Well, I have my ways to find out: his name is RONALD HERRERA, just some 28 year old loser with a teenagers’ job. Sassy, rude, and you’re employees are misinformed about their own policies. Wasted my time because he could have just honored the recycle exchange, but nope. I used to spend thousands of dollars at MAC (I had an insider membership for awhile) but from now on I am happy to switch to a competitor brand. I will be following up with corporate about this.

I’m here and the most amazing person named sallmon is helping me! He is fabulous and I always want to come here! I live in Beverly Hills but I will come here to do my make up anyday just for him!

I happened to be in the area this evening for an event and thought I’d stop by this particular Mac store. I’ve been eyeballing the newest collection (Future Mac) and figured this was the perfect opportunity to swatch some colors. A female employee said «hi» to me when I walked in but that was it. No helping me. I found the product display on my own and began to swatch. I fell in love with one of the products and looked around for someone to help me. There were a few employees all helping customers. I decided to go to the front counter and wait for someone. A few seconds later a male employee came over with some customers and started ringing them up. He looked at me and said «I’ll be with you in a minute». I replied «Thank you!» I was happy someone was willing to help. That happiness didn’t last long. When he was done ringing the customers up, he looked directly at me and then walked away towards another female employee and they started to chit chat away. I waited for a minute to give him the benefit of the doubt. He still didn’t come over to help me. I muttered on my way out, «guess I’ll go to a store that actually wants to make a sale and wants my money.» I’m SO sick and tired of employees at Mac who don’t care to help customers like me. It’s discouraging, upsetting and plain rude! I’ll probably just end up purchasing the product on the Mac website instead.

Cortney is a true professional and artist. I was lucky to work with her today when I ran in to buy some new concealer.
She listened, offered suggestions, was honest, showed the application, and was lovely about honoring my time. She read my energy perfectly.
On top of that, her make up was applied beautifully.
Fantastic experience.

This is my fave MAC store. Soloman, Landyn and Courtney (plus tall red head can’t remember her name…) are always so nice to me. I am a more mature client, but I still love to play with makeup, and I like to try new things for my portrait clients. They are always so kind, patient and cool.
It’s a pretty tiny location, but they have a gorgeous make up station, and everything you need. Honestly, I could go to the Grove but I never want to because k love my neighborhood store.
I can’t say enough about the staff. It’s a busy store, sort of hectic because it’s on Hollywood Blvd, so falling thru the cracks would be easy. But I only ever feel good when I go in there.

Very rude and unprofessional staff.
So I went there to get my make up done by a pro because my husband had his 40^th bday on that night .
Unfortunately i don’t remember the lady’s name but anyways I had a horrible experience .
She had an attitude about everything what I asked her to do, she even dropped my eyelashes on the floor and she picked it up and she still wanted to put it on and even if I told her not to she didn’t care. So the other makeup artist next to us told her to put it in the trash!!!
And the worst part she made me look like a men with makeup on. Even my husband told me to wipe off my makeup when he saw me because he is not going to the dinner with me like that .
I ended up not going to my husband’s dinner
Party with a lot of guests who I invited because I got home late from Mac and didn’t have time to re-​do my makeup and also I was so disappointed and depressed about the whole situation.
My other concern is when I called in to make the appointment they said its $ 50. I’m like ok .
When I was about to pay in person they told me $ 60, I’m like you guys said $ 50 on the phone. The cashier had an attitude about it and told me this is what it is he can’t do anything and probably the person who answered the phone still tells people their old price which changed in August.
Well first of all if they tell me $ 50 than don’t tell me I have to pay $ 60 second of all don’t be rude about it, it’s your co-worker’s fault that he gave me the wrong info.
So I ended up tipping the makeup artist already and pay more for the markup. I wish I never came to that place.

Wow 2^nd time coming here and once again TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service! I came in without a receipt but with a brand new only used once compact, I didn’t want my money back, only to switch to a lighter shade, which other locations have done for me many times! He said no because I didn’t have the box, which is fine, but when I told him that the other location had done it for me, he said «I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT» wow he basically called me a liar, which was very unnecessary. So very RUDE. I will NEVER EVER be coming back to this location EVER again. Funny that sephora next door is ALWAYS packed and these guys are always a ghost town. Disgusting customer service. Who hires these rude people?

This location is a bit hectic and difficult to find. I called the day of to make an appointment for 5. I spoke to man I make the appointment and he said strictly 5 and not even 5:15 since they close at 7 on Sunday. I am from out of town so I didn’t quite know my way around town, on top of running behind from a previous hair appointment. I ended up getting getting there around 5:35!
My makeup artist was Jasmine. She still took me in and reassured me it was ok and not to worry. I was nervous and had been running around the shopping plaza looking for Mac and called several times. She was very sweet, caring and accommodating. I loved my make up! She did a great job selecting the correct color for my skin tone. It was glamorous yet not overwhelming.
5 stars for service! 3 stars for location, however this should change once the new location opens. $ 50 make up fee however you get a free mascara of your choice.

I have been a regular Mac customer for a number of years. As with most makeup or skin care lines, there are a few products from this company that I like. So I re-​purchase the products that I use when I run out.
I went this particular location last week to buy a product that I wanted to replenish. I will preface this by saying that I had to go out of my way to get there. I had to walk to the subway from my location. The walk takes a good 20 minutes or more. Then I had to spend another 25 mintues on the subway, until I got to Hollywood and Highland. There were a lot of people and a lot of traffic at this location when I arrived. So I was a little stressed when I got there.
I went into this MAC location twice on the same evening. The first time I went, a young man helped me. He was very nice and helped me find the products I needed. He also suggested a lipstick which he thought would look nice on me. I tried a sample of the lipstick. Later that evening, I decided to come back and purchase the lipstick.
When I returned to the store the second time, I did not have a good experience. First, the store is very small and cramped. There is hardly any room to move around. Also, if a person had been shopping, there is literally no room on which one can put their things, while trying the products. That is frustrating, particularly since most companies that sell cosmetics, want people to try their products.
There were a few customers just standing around talking. I asked one of them to move 3 times. I said excuse me and asked him if I could pass by him. He would not budge.
Also, the manager on duty, Madison, was loud and rude and self important.
I don’t know if I will be returning to this MAC location. It was not a good experience, and definitely not worth the time and effort it took from me to commute there to patronize their store.

First off they didn’t even greet me coming in the store they were too busy talking between themselves. Then when I needed help I asked if I can get a color and under her breath she said «I can’t hear you girl» as if I couldn’t hear her. Maybe she would be able to hear me if you wasn’t paying attention to her coworker. Than the other girl working their looked at my daughter and said «yeah she’s black» ummm do you guys not see me standing here. I tried the color of lipstick and I’m like oh I thought it was darker she’s like no that’s how it looks do you want it or not???
Very very rude!!! And oh should I say racist no my daughter isn’t black just because her complexion is dark!!!

Ugh as soon as my two friends and I walked in this Mac store the security and one of the sales girl started to follow us and made us feel uncomfortable as if we were going to steal something… they didn’t let us browse through good and made us feel judged and really uncomfortable! I really wanted to buy an eyelash curler but I was so mad that I left it instead and we were the only ones who were being followed because there were other people and they weren’t even looking at them or anything ! My friend told me out loud that she wanted to leave because she was feeling uncomfortable and the sales lady was there and heard us and gave us attitude telling us she was doing her job and other things. We just left.

Great assortment and service. If you don’t know what you want and what would look good on you– they will figure!

i love me some mac cosmetics, however, this MAC is hands down the worst i’ve ever come across. There truly is no order or structure as to how one goes about ordering make-​up. I literally waited for an employee to greet and help me. NADA. Even the security guard was more helpful. Once i finally placed my order, i stepped outside, and noticed it was WRONG.
I understand that this store is on Hollywood blvd, and has tons of foot traffic, but that’s no excuse. Shame on you Mac treat others as you would like to be treated!

What a great experience! Service, Professionalism and beautiful makeup for my birthday is exactly what i received at this MAC location. I made a 5:30pm appointment to get my makeup done and when i arrived the ladies greeted me with a smile and said my makeup artist would be with me shortly. I waited about 5 minutes and here comes Alexia!
Alexia was sooooo sweet. She understood the exact look i was going for on my birthday. She was very professional, patient and personable. She did an amazing job on my face and i was more than pleased with her work. I came to this location cause of where i was staying which was right across the street. The Westfield Culver city location is closer to me and Ive been there before for makeup but if i need makeup done again i would go out of my way in this Hollywood & Highland traffic just to have Alexia do my face again!

This location is my FAVORITE Mac store to go to! Yes, I know it can be a hassle since it is located right on Hollywood & Highland, however, this store always has everything in stock and the sales associates are fierce, nice, and fabulous. I always feel pretty when I come to this MAC. I don’t know what it is about this particular one, but, the sales associates are always so welcoming and helpful. You would think with it being a «Hollywood» location that they would be snooty but it is quite the opposite. The store is always clean, the music isn’t too loud like they have it in Macys stores and the workers themselves look amazing. There’s something about buying makeup at a store where the sales people look flawless themselves. This is always my «go-​to» Mac store.
