This place is so nice inside so nice outside. Brentwood is traditionally older mature buildings but this is more modern and new so it stands out

I lived here with a friend for nearly a year, and it’s a great place to live in a fantastic area. Let’s do this in list form, since that seems to be all the rage these days. Our unit was a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom one, so obviously my review is based off that, although other options are available PROS –Units are very nice. What makes them nice, you ask? New, modern appliances(stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, etc.), washer and dryer in-unit, and carpeted floors, except for the bathroom(which would be stupid to have carpet in) and the main entrance/kitchen area(which I also think would be stupid to have carpet in). Wow, that was a long list for just one«pro.» –Rooftop area, which is great for just laying out in the sun or working on your computer(although your internet connection may not always work up there). There’s a fireplace there, as well, and I imagine it could be a cool place to grill, although I don’t know if there’s any rules against that. There’s also a lobby area on the second floor with a neat little fountain and lounging area. It would be better if that fountain was replaced with a pool, but whatcha gonna do? –Office management is VERY receptive. Things get responded to in a really fast manner, whether it’s something in the unit not working or getting stuck in the elevator(which happened my last day there). –Parking is included for the number of people living there. So we had two spots. SUPER helpful, since finding street parking in LA is like trying to solve a Rubik’s Cube. I just can’t do it. Actually, maybe that’s a bad analogy, since I know some people can solve one in like 20 seconds. –The neighborhood is very nice. You’re three blocks from Wilshire, which of course has a ton of stuff, and you’re two blocks from getting in the heart of Brentwood if you walk the other direction. I also never felt unsafe during my stay there. CONS –Really, just the price. I was fortunate enough to be moving in with an established tenant, so the rent stayed at what he initially paid, which is a huge plus. Brentwood’s fast becoming a popular area, and the rent is rising accordingly. A couple visitors I had over said the area was a little small, but I found it to be comfortable and not too tiny at all. The price is probably pretty typical for this area, though, so I can’t complain too much. Tl; dr version: Great area, helpful management, units with up-to-date appliances make this a really solid place to live. Only complaint is the cost, which is fairly standard for the Brentwood area.
