Just like the rest of the reviews here, I was shocked that JJ’s car wash changed ownership to now what is called LUX AUTO SPA. First impression relatively nice, nice waiting area, shade and your vehicle is in complete site as its being washed. Complementary water, that’s a plus. But also w the name change comes the elevated pricing, keep in mind it does say «spa» not «car wash». Before $ 12 for a standard wash, now $ 25 for standard wash. Pricey I would say. But hey I’m already here why not. Crazy having a high scale in the ghetto, let’s see how long they last ! I have my car plastic dipped rims, handles, emblems, grill, anything silver you name it. Unfortunately w the air compression it lifted and peeled one of my windows, no biggie due to in getting it redone this weekend, manager was kind enough to mention it right away, apologized, 2^nd plus ! Most car washes won’t let you know and come finding out once your home or if you even notice at all ! Even offered a complementary conditioning for the issue .
I received my car and drove off pulled over about a block and came to find these disturbing in cleaned areas !!! The seats were not cleaned at all, I mean not even a rag everything was sticky and dirty dirty ! Will not be returning ! Beware !!!

After months of going other places, I came back to see if the service has improved. It hasn’t. I thought it was slow and expensive before, and now it’s even slower. After speaking to the manager about my 45 minute wait before the car even came out of the wash, he said I can expect another 45 – 60 because they don’t rush. That it’s important to do a good job. Well, of course I want that, that’s what I’m paying for. But almost 2 hours for a car wash, a no-​frills car wash on a small sedan? Come on.

Been here for over an hour and still waiting for my car to get dried. Not very impressed with this place especially since I just paid 25 dollars for a car wash. Workers are very slow and are not interested in how long their customers are waiting. Definitely won’t be coming back here.

I’ve been going here for the past 3 years and was always very happy but ownership has changed and with it the price and quality.
I asked for a basic wash and was charged $ 30 (before it was $ 17 – 20) thinking that’s high. From the outside my car was spotless and looked really good after the wash. But the vacuum job was less than good. It looked like they didn’t vacuum under the seats, they didn’t lift up the mats to get even a little under it and the cracks were all still filled with dirt. The plastic parts when you get through the doors weren’t even wiped down and so was the trunk parts. They are friendly and I’m all for covering your cost as a business owner but it’s gotta be right for that price. I like the location and I’m sad seeing it getting these reviews but they’ve gotta step up their game — until then I’ll go somewhere else! I’ll keep checking back here if the reviews are getting better.

$ 30 for a Honda CRV… really? and then I and to wait almost 2 hours. Left the lot and saw lots of streaks on my windshield. Went back to get it redone, and there’s still streaks. Not going back.

I used to come to this location all the time and just found out today after I got there, that the place had changed. I figured I was already there why not let me try them out. First off $ 25 for a basic car wash is a little higher then I usually pay but hey if they do a clean job then it’s worth it. So I spent about an hour and 40 minutes there (there were only a few of cars) but I thought well if they’re taking that much time they must be doing a good job. So they finish up I hop in my and drive off I get home and they didn’t clean my cupholders and the area around the gear shift, my mirrors had water stains cuz they didn’t dry them, my windshield had a dirty border, doors had water stains, and they didn’t even remove the floor mats to vacuum under them they just vacuumed around.
I, for sure, won’t be back.

I found it to be too expensive. $ 25 for basic wash that is the same quality as Jj (previous owner) that only charged $ 12 back then. I don’t think I’d be coming back.

Paid $ 55 for a hand wax and I’ll I got was a spray. For $ 55 I expected it to be buffed out. Wouldn’t recommend it.

$ 25 for a basic wash and spray wax but their work left a lot to be desired. Im not saying they did a bad job, but at that price one would expect dash shine or at least a fragrance sprayed in.
The car looked good after, they vacuumed everything and cleaned my wheels pretty good.
Wait wasn’t too bad but this place can get pretty packed.
Ill stick to the other hand car washes though, it’s too bad theyre so close to my house!

Only been here a handful of times, but Anthony and Henry treat me like a lifelong customer. Their customer service is amazing, and the fact that they are both car guys, they really go above and beyond. I bring both of my cars here and every single time I leave the car wash smiling.
They have done a fantastic job every time. As someone who drives his cars pretty hard, I really appreciate that they take their time and clean the my cars thoroughly, even the tar on the back bumper and exhaust tips. Stand up guys both of them and always accommodating.
I definitely recommend this place for all your wash/​detail needs. Prices are very reasonable and the work is good. So far I have had them wash, wax, clay and detail my cars. I’ve become a regular here now lol

Omar, Anthony, Henry and the rest of the crew are awesome! Brought my car to get washed and it is absolutely the best hand wash in NELA. This is definitely one of those businesses where you get what you pay for. Definitely worth the price and worth the wait!

I take my car to Lux Auto Spa when my car needs to be pampered. They are extremely thorough while hand washing and drying my black charger. I probably wouldn’t take my car there if I’m in a rush as they take their time and pay attention to every detail. They are professional and courteous. Henry always greets me with a prefessional and friendly attitude and makes sure I’m taken care of. He’s the best! I highly recommend Lux Auto Spa for your car washing, waxing or detailing needs!
