So this place is a random shady looking food truck that takes cash only. I was craving fried chicken during my lunch break and lupitas popped up so I decided to give it a try. It was good. I liked the seasoning. The fries were extra crispy. Apparently, the tacos are good too, cause the people in line with me were raving about it. But I haven’t tried them. Btw, the 4 piece fried chicken is now 7 dollars, not 6 as listed in one of the reviews below. Overall a pleasant experience.

I’m on the hunt for the best tacos after being In Mexico for too long. I had an al pastor, asada and carnitas taco. The carnitas is dankkkkkkk and the rest are pretty good too.

Quick and easy. Call ahead to order so you don’t have to wait in line and food will be ready when you get there. I’ve had their spicy chicken sandwich and their chicken mushroom burger and fries and both were good. Lots of lettuce and tomatoes and chicken was good, not dry. Cheap!(no tax added and most entrees are below $ 6)

I dedicate my first Unilocal review to a burrito I now consider legendary. I’m convinced that the only true cure to hangover is a burrito. I arrived at Lupita’s Food Truck on the strength of many co-workers’ recommendations, and they did not lead me astray. It seems that Lupita’s does many things right, but they probably don’t even need to, so reliable and satisfying is their signature burrito. It’s basically a standard food truck burrito, you know, beans and rice, meat. But I appreciate any burrito that adds cilantro for that Tijuana taste. And this burrito’s signature addition is avocado. People in my office go crazy for that detail. In my opinion, even as an avocado fan, it’s too mushy and creamy and has no business being there. A burrito with cheese and beans is rich enough, you know? But overall, it only helps, not hurts, the overall solid burrito experience. Mine had chicken in it — dark meat — and seared and seasoned in just the right way. The finest part of my meal was that it was served with freshly fried tortilla chips — the kind where some are soft, some are crispy. I truly felt that Dona Maria had just served this to me in a mild and temperate adobe kitchen, even though I was just sitting here in my sterile office. Looking forward to my next hangover, when I’ll be trying the burger. Fifth Star Qualification: — I’m not sure how I feel about them using chip baggies as signs, flapping in the breeze. We don’t need to go full barrio here, folks.

I’m not 100% sure, but I think the fried chicken(4 pieces w/fries or salad — $ 6.50) batter is made with buttermilk. It has a rich sweetness to it that I’ve never tasted in fried chicken before. The flavor reminds me of buttermilk biscuit so that’s my theory.

Hello Heartburn City! Lupita’s has a great deal: a fried chicken meal(four pieces of fried chicken + salad or fries) for $ 6. For only $ 6 you can clog your arteries and send yourself to juicy, crispy fried chicken coma heaven. Oh Lupita… I would marry you but my pants already don’t fit and I don’t think my cholesterol could handle your love.

This is the best fast food establishment in downtown LA. The price, value, and selection are unparalleled. My coworker, brice, moved from orange county to downtown just so he could eat the steak fajitas everyday.

It wasn’t bad. It was cheap and good. I had the Tongue Burrito. The meat was soft and tender mmm. I enjoyed it but it could have used more of a kick(besides the condiments you get on the side. I felt that the tongue could have used much more flavor. Overall pretty good.
