Louigi’s Italian Kitchen

I ordered pizza from this place for the past year almost weekly, they deliver fast. The food isn’t that bad, however, it’s not the best pizza either, it’s just ok, sometimes it’s very oily.
I just got my pizza today and I found a spider in my pizza, yes a spider. It’s so disgusting. I called and talked to the manager, he didn’t even offer to fix it, he said «I don’t know what to say, sorry». Well tell that to the health department.

I love the ravioli in pink sauce. So delicious, this is my first time ordering from this restaurant & I don’t regret it. Unlike some other places, I definitely recommend it.

Really great service and even better food! Stopped by here after a movie with friends and we were all pretty impressed with the food.

I just received my food from here, I chose to order from Eat24. I ordered the Penne Sausage and the description says «touch of marinara». Unfortunately, my food arrived and was not even graced with a «touch of flavor»!!! For 20 dollars I got some hard as rocks meatballs that were bland, blanched pasta with zero flavor and some steamed sliced sausage. As a chef myself who works long hours and Italian to boot I was looking forward to not having to cook for myself after a long day. I ate a small portion and decided I should call them since they are so close, maybe they could fix this. A man answered the phone and became upset claiming he made me what is on their «old menu». A female manager then got on the phone only to tell me they were behind and couldn’t send anyone with some marinara to help wash this dry, flavorless pasta down with. I am embarrassed for them, to claim this is even remotely Italian food. If you are thinking about eating here… DONT. Go somewhere else.

They delivered my pizza to my hotel room when I was in Marina Del Rey for vacation. The service was quick and good! The pizza was also great! Would recommend

Here’s a fun bar joke — two Taiwanese Chinese folks walk into an Italian joint where the cooks in the back are Mexican, the server is Black, but the front of the house person is Italian. Oh, and there’s a Korean guy in line for takeout.
Pretty delicious food, lots and lots of cheese, but both times that my wife and I have been there, we’ve been the only patrons sitting down and eating.
Granted, they do have their fair share of takeout orders.
So far, thanks to Groupon, we’ve had their veggie lasagna, the seafood pasta dish, the eggplant parmagiana, the shrimp ravioli, and their plain jane spaghetti with marinara sauce.
For a non-​picky, non-​expert Italian foodie, I enjoyed everything we’ve ordered, granted the shrimp in the shrimp ravioli were rather… shrimpy. Small pieces of small shrimp that just didn’t quite give me the ‘OMG THIS IS GREAT’ slap in the face. Their veggie lasagna always has a different combo of veggies in it depending on the chef and depending on how he feels.
Everything’s pretty cheesy and the portion sizes are not bad. An adult can be satisfied off each entrée, but my wife and I find ourselves most full and happy when the two of us share 3 entrees.
Parking — they say there’s a spot out back in the alley for their patrons, but we just luck out with street parking across the street and frogger our way over across Sawtelle.
Food’s pretty good. Groupon’s even better. They do catering, but the portions aren’t wow’ing for catering. We ordered a 20 serving portion that only fed 14 people. They were still kinda hungry.

Ordered online through Eat24. They did not fulfill my entire order and would not send the missing items to us in a timely manner. Not sure about you, but I don’t like to eat my dinner in 1 hr increments. Try another italian place like Maria’s or Louise’s for a much better experience.

I ordered twice before leaving this review. First time ordered a calzone) which was just okay)… Was told 15 – 20 minutes, got there 15 minutes later and had to wait about 30 minutes. It was crazy… So today I decided to order again because I work really close and I called and placed order for a lasagna. Went about 35 minutes later even though I was told 15 minutes. The lasagna wasn’t ready. Waited another 15 minutes. Oh btw… My friends ordered too and they were out of things like the side pasta salad and garlic bread and some pasta dishes. Anyways! Back to my lasagna. It was inedible. Cheap cheap cheap ingredients and just gross. The lasagna was burnt, they for whatever reason added these hard Italian sausage. Like something you would find in a little Caesars pizza. I didn’t finish it. Never again. Oh and the garlic bread that came with my side … Was something pre frozen and soggy. Ugh.

All I have to say is I got sick immediately after eating their food. The food tasted kinda raw and it was.

I live three blocks away, have a toddler with a cold and the wife is having a late night at the office… Pizza night.
Called to order a salad and 14″ pizza. The woman says 25 – 30 minutes. «Great.»
After 45 minutes I call and say, «no problem but just checking on our order.» The woman says the pizza is with a driver and will be here any minute. «Cool, thank you.»
Another 30 minutes pass and I call. The woman says she is getting in her car now. (Earlier you said a driver already left with our order) I didn’t say that though and just said «okay.»
20 minutes after that there are a series of calls and she finally arrives. One hour and twenty minutes later and I live two blocks away. She apologizes and doesn’t answer why she said a driver left to take it here 30 minutes ago. «Yeah.» She said it was under a heat lamp and was not cold.
Lesson of the day… If she would have just been honest then I wouldn’t be frustrated. I have a stale pizza and salad and made my son another dinner instead. Had one bite and threw it away.
Never doing this again. And I tipped $ 3 because I’m an idiot. Yuck.

So this explicitly a review about their pizza as a delivery option. I’ve never actually been to the restaurant, and probably never will, simply because I love having their pizza delivered. It is hands down my local pizza place to have a pizza delivered. Why order some random national chain when you can actually get good local restaurant delivery (and as a shameless Eat 24 /​Yelp plug available through them and no longer through Seamless). If I want pizza the Louigi’s Combination Special is my go to. Crust that’s not too thick /​not to thin, and absolutely loaded with sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, olive, etc. it has wonderful flavor. It’s just the right level of thickness and is always delivered hot. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve order their pizza for watching a movie at home. I

I’ll be back. The food was really good especially their home made meatballs. Very small place and we were the only ones there but I understand that this neighborhood restaurant gets fairly busy during the evening. I can see why.

Terrible food! Sorry Louigi. The Alfredo pasta had no sauce. It was just weird and oily and pretty inedible. The pizza kinda tasted like gasoline. And the garlic bread had no garlic. Really bad stuff, and I am Not a picky eater by any means.

Food was pretty darned good. Chicken Parm was quite good. Place was not busy. Nahid was a very nice server. I’d go back if she was always the server. I took away 2 stars because we tried to use our groupon this Sunday at 1pm. They said we couldn’t use it then and had to wait to 3pm. We showed them that most groupons have a printed time on the description if there is a restriction. This had none. We wasted our time and the man was rude who talked to us about it.
Oh and we were still in the area at 3pm so we called to make sure we could use it. Then they now said it’s 5pm that this starts. So the rude-​ish fellow was wrong about that and wasted our time.

I love the friendly and helpful staff. Everything was so pleasant and it was a really good experience. Thanks so much for making my dinner a great night. I didn’t have to cook and everyone was happy. Especially me.

Ordered enough food for a Pizza Party threw there website at 2:30 and arranged to have it picked up at 5:30. Arrived at 5:35 and food was warm and waiting for me. Amazing! The food was fresh, warm and the service was amazing! The online ordering process was easy and was notified every step of the way.

Sometimes you’re just in the mood to walk in your neighbor (hood) and walk into a restaurant, order your food, chat with the server or cashier for a while, pick up the food, walk back home and enjoy your meal w/​a good movie or show. Louigi’s I.K. is such a place… the restaurant itself is quite small, cheerfully decorated, and clean. I love clean! The people who work there are super-friendly.including the owner. I have to remind myself that I can only walk there every two weeks otherwise I’d go every night.& also because the Tiramisu is Sublime!

This place had excellent spaghetti. The menu is cheap but tastes better then some high end restaurants I’ve been to.

Love this little mom n pop pizza joint. Ordered a «small» pizza and didn’t think i’d get through it for lunch, but… CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
How can I say no to such yummy cheesy pizza? I ordered mine with pepperoni, mushroom and anchovies. By the time I finished, I think I needed to be wheeled out of that place — worth it.
The owner was friendly, and the place is quaint with cheesy Italian décor to match their pizza, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I ate lunch with a coworker here last week and was really impressed with the service, the owner is super nice and came out and talked to us to make sure we liked our pizzas.
I ordered a small build your own pizza with sausage, mushroom, and spinach. The sausage and the sauce they used were particularly delicious and the crust was thin and crisp. The small pizza is 10″ and the amount of ingredients it had filled me up before I could finish it, so it doubled as dinner that night as well. I will definitely be coming here for my lunch breaks more often.
