Established in 1992.
Board certified in Ophthalmology, Dr. Goodwin has been in private practice since 1990. He additionally serves as Ophthalmologist for the certification of professional boxers and as Team Ophthalmologist for the Long Beach Ice Dogs Hockey Team. Dr. Goodwin is active in professional organizations as a Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the Association of Research and Vision in Ophthalmology and American Medical Association. He is the author of several articles published in peer-reviewed journals and has been a presenter at various ophthalmology meetings and conferences.

Dr. Lawrence Goodwin earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Claremont Men’s College in Claremont, California, and his medical degree from Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He continued his training with an Ophthalmology Residency at Martin Luther King, Jr./Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was selected to be Chief Resident. Dr. Goodwin then went on to complete a prestigious Glaucoma Fellowship at the Jules Stein Eye Institute of UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
