I met Shawn from Lamor Jewelry for the first time at Las Vegas Jewelry Show in May, 2015. He came to our booth, where my brother from Japan, who is a diamond wholesaler, was exhibiting loose diamonds for the first time at the show.(Living in LA, I went there to help). We were eager to find international clients because now diamonds in Japan are sold cheaper because of the economy’s slowdown. Shawn checked all of our diamond loose one by one, picked 20+pieces, brought his partners and friend, continued negotiating with my brother. It took easily a couple of hours, and after the negotiation was settled, the next important thing was a payment option. We as a company had either a cash, COD, or wire-transfer option. Shawn picked a wire-transfer option and we both agreed that as soon as we confirm his payment, I will bring the diamonds to his office in LA. Shown was the first one out of all to make the payment the very next day, which was close to $ 100,000. I came to his office the next day whose office was 21st floor in the middle of diamonds district in downtown LA. They had a front desk lady who was very sweet. The transaction went very smoothly that my brother was very happy to have met him, who trusted us at the first sight.(From the client point of view, we are no-name company, outside USA, who might not delivery the items after the payment.) My brother later told me that he’d like to meet more people like Shawn who is clear-cut, no playing games, fair with price and quick payment. My brother is coming back to LA in August to see Shawn with lots of diamonds! If anyone wants to sell his/her loose diamond or jewelry, Shawn is the man to see. He is fair, sincere, knowledgeable, and always looks for not just his own profits but for ours too. That’s rare.
