My second time coming here but with a different group of friends. This group haven’t been here before. I didn’t have that joy of excitement as like the first time around. It’s probably we didn’t have time to go into the museum because we got there late in the afternoon plus they all forgot their student IDs.(Sssshhhh don’t tell anyoned that we graduated college several years ago but we still pass as high school students :)) but admission for students with their IDs are $ 10. If I remember, general admission is $ 15. There are a few different museums in different buildings and must have bought tickets because the museum personal do check if you bought a ticket when you go from one building to the next. Don’t worry, the buildings are all in one big area. However, if you don’t want to go in the museums there are large art works outside for your seeing pleasure. That is what we did. We say the tar pits and the lamp posts(the highlight for my group. The first time when I was here last year, I went into the tar pit museum and one of the painting museum biuldings. It is great. Great for kids too. I would like to come back to check out the other buildings.

Okay how does this place not have more reviews? This place is iconic – just in general was just one of those crazy last min days. I was with my then, boyfriend and was meeting his close friends for the first time. They got the bright idea to come here because his friend really wanted to see the Tim Burton Exhibit. They had an outside bar where we found a table and the drinks began to flow. After the 4−5th round we were ready to see the exhibit – it was the shortest work of art I had seen. I think it was 3 or 4 small rooms and that was it. We got to the end was turned back walked it a couple more times, so we felt we got our money worth. When you get to the end there is a store which of course everything was super over priced. The lights outside are very cool looking – (for all those who are vlogging – it’s a great back drop). After that we carried the party to a few other places. Really had a fun time – I truly think this is one of those LA places you should try to see at least once.

Thanks to Unilocaler friend Dee D, I went to this FREE fantastic film series put on by LACMA in conjunction with the Tim Burton Exhibit. I’ve never been to LACMA. Well, I’ve driven by it. It is pretty gorgeous to walk through and not drive by at 5 mph. Clean, manicured lawns, well-lit, and great architecture. It was a spur of the moment thing planned a day or so before. Harmonie T and Brian I took charge of bringing blankets and yummy food from Savyon Café. I’ve always complained that movie theatres need better food options – like Asian food options. We had a great mini feast, good weather, and a perfect community setting. I felt like I was in the 50s or 60s – when people hung out together in public space. Well, that’s what I believe anyways. It was a perfectly wonderful movie night. Tip: –Bring a jacket or blanket. –Bring something to lay over the grass because it was pretty wet. –Bring someone to cozy up too. D#$% you Singledom! But it’s okay. No need to cry for me LA. I’m not the most PG-13 person with dates and this is a family event. –Use the free parking option by arriving after 7pm and parking in the Pritzker Parking Garage(on Sixth Street just east of Fairfax Avenue or the Spaudling lot on Wilshire Blvd). –Do not exit near the Hollywood Bowl or main parts of Hollywood on a Friday evening. Exit a little earlier and take smaller streets to avoid terrible traffic(2 miles/20 minutes terrible).
