I was very happy with my rodent inspection with Rodrigo. I was fearing the worst and he took time to explain his honest evaluation and my options so i could make an imformed decision on how to proceed. He assured me my problem was minimal and their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend!!!

Don’t be fooled by those other reviews. I am Disabled and live in a 420 square foot space.
They wanted to charge me. $ 135.00!!!
My space is the size of a small garage and would literally take five minutes or less to spray and they want $ 135? A MEDICAL DOCTOR GETS $ 135!!! Only an arrogant thief could justify such an exorbitant sum for a few minutes work. They are so shady that they only guarantee their «work» for a very, very, short time! If they don’t have faith in what they are trying to sell, why should you?
When I called and explained that I was on fixed income, they replied, «ALL OF OUR PRICES ARE SET, WE NEGOTIATE WITH NO ONE». La cucaracha pest control has no heart. They are only in the east side community to make a quick buck and could care less about those they serve.
So if you are on a limited budget, in any way disabled and are NOT some wealthy property owner, DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!!
THEY ANSWER THE PHONE WITH A HAPPY VOICE READY TO TAKE EVERY LAST CENT YOU HAVE AND ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO LET YOU SUFFER IF YOU CAN’T PAY.

I had a pest problem a couple of months ago. I tried my best to handle them myself and picked up pesticides at Home Depot which weren’t as effective as I needed them to be. It was driving me mad — so much so I thought maybe I would have to go into a mental hospital because I’m absolutely fearful and grossed out by insects. They preoccupied my mind for two whole weeks before I came to my senses and called La Cucaracha (thanks Unilocal!).
The technicians came out twice and both times, they did so within the time window I was given, did full inspections, applied the treatments and reassured me I didn’t have a crazy infestation which I was convinced I did because a woman fearful of bugs lets her mind go crazy. It has been about two months and not a single insect. Yes! And their rates are absolutely reasonable.

Armando is the best. I called him about a roof rat problem. that another exterminator did not solve after many attempts. He climbed all over my house from above and below and sealed off all of the entry points. He took pictures of all of the work he did and found other places he thought could be a problem and sealed those off too. He set traps and put down a powder to detect their paw prints. I am now finally rat free. Armando really seems to care that about getting rid of them and making sure he has not left anything to chance. He came back many times to make sure he had gotten all the rats. He takes his work very seriously while also being a laid back, easy going guy who was a joy to be around. Thumbs up all around!

Do you remember how muggy and disgusting it was in L.A. a couple months back? Well, I guess when the weather gets all east coast like that, the roaches come out to play. Matt B. and I have a storage space/​laundry room in our garage, right under our place, and for a few weeks, every time we went inside and turned on the light, we’d see a disgusting brown roach scurry off into some corner. I eventually prevailed on Matt to kill it in an epic bug spray battle, but unfortunately, we were optimistic in thinking there was only the one.
We were worried about roach eggs getting into our laundry and coming upstairs to where we actually live, so I called La Cucaracha. I’d never dealt with pest control before, so I don’t have any basis for comparison, but the whole process struck me as very smooth and easy. I made an appointment for I think that day or the next over the phone, and the woman I talked to was very nice and helpful. The exterminator showed up on time and was totally great, friendly and knowledgeable about roaches. He explained that what we had were water bugs (which sound better than roaches but are equally gross), and that they probably came up from our drain when things got humid. He also told me that water bugs don’t lay eggs – they have fucking live births, which is making me want to throw up even as I type, but at least that meant we didn’t have to worry about them infiltrating our house all sneaky.
He went downstairs to the infested space and pretty much just sprayed the whole thing along the bottom edges of the walls. It took him maybe five minutes and cost like $ 140 but you know what, absolutely worth it. He assured me that it would be effective for at least six months and that if I saw any live water bugs after five days, to call them back and they’d do follow-​up work. It’s been over a month and we haven’t seen anything. La Cucaracha cleared out our pests and put our minds at ease. I hope I never have to call them again, but I will if the need arises.

Showed up on time, very professional, very nice guy;
Went and inspected entire house, sprayed and answered questions and Armando knows his stuff. So far so good. He did such a great and diligent job I decided to pay him more than he asked for because he didn’t want to go above his estimate over the phone! If our insect problem persists or comes back i’m definitely calling Armando back. (But hopefully it’s gone)

Excellent service rodent-​proofing my house today. All efforts were made to identify any possible entry points under the house, inside the entire attic space, and even the garage. All repairs were completed very well and traps were set. I decided to check the traps and replace myself, as needed. It was an absolute pleasure from scheduling to completion. I am grateful to have found a pest control company with such good work ethic, and the value was incredible!

We use La Cucaracha Pest Control as a way to keep the ants from attacking through our back kitchen door and windows. Their techs are knowledgable and consistently on time and pleasant to deal with. When you call and make an appointment the woman who books appointments is very kind and makes the process easy.

Yes, these guys are not just good, they’re pretty awesome. I’ve used them on two separate occasions for rat problems at a couple of residential rental properties that I manage. The technicians that come onto the premise can look at an area and identify the point of intrusion and set traps to effectively catch any of those nasty critters that are in the dwelling. However, before doing that, they will make recommendations on how you can close off the access points either by yourself or, for a charge, they will close it off before setting the traps to catch the rat finks that are now trapped in the house.
Their rates are very reasonable. Yes there is a $ 60 inspection charge, but when added to the fee for the actual work, it’s competitively priced when compared to other pest control companies. Trust me, I did a lot of checking around before making the leap with them and there’s a reason why they have as many positive Unilocal reviews as they have. I think some of it may be for their friendly service but I bet most of it is for getting the job done by eradicating the pest problem and making sure that you know why the problem started in the first place and that you now know how to make sure that the problem won’t become a problem again.

I am very glad I chose this team to help me with a roof rat problem that came out of nowhere and escalated quickly.
First I tried using catch and release traps. Waste of time, these critters are insidious so a call a pro. These pros. They were very helpful, always on time, cleaned up every time, and completely solved the issue in the timeframe they promised.
Their pricing is much more affordable than chain businesses and their customer service and attention to detail was immaculate. I also like supporting small businesses whenever I can, which sometimes can backfire, but not with La Cucaracha. These people know their stuff. Two thumbs waaaay up!

I had a great experience working with Armando. I had a really tricky pantry moth problem where we couldn’t find the source. Armando tried multiple tactics to find the source, and kill the current moths that were wreaking havoc in my kitchen. Anyone who has had this problem knows it takes a few weeks for the moths to truly die and go away, so Armando was kind enough to call and check with me to see how the moth problem was progressing. He came back to re-​treat my kitchen at no extra cost, and went the extra mile to research another kind of pheromone trap that would take longer to work, but would stop the life cycle of the indestructible larva I kept finding. I’m happy to report I am moth free now and very grateful for all of Armando’s help. I could not recommend this company more highly! Thank you!

Easy 5 stars — the guys we’re very professional, fast and effective. Armando is super easy to deal with and an extremely nice guy. The prices are very fair and they exceeded what I had hoped for.

Called them out to address a rodent and cricket issue.
The cricket issue was gone after they sprayed their secret sauce around the exterior of the house.
The rodent issue was addressed by plugging up unwanted entry ways into my crawl space, and by laying down some traps.
Armando, the owner, is a good guy, and cares about his work-​product.

What a wonderful company! Armando was professional and so easy to work with. He walks your property with you and finds every little crevice a critter can get into. Their prices are very reasonable and worth every cent for preventative care.
His work is top notch and I would use them again in a heartbeat (although I hope I don’t have to!).

I tried to get a quote from La Cucaracha Pest Control. They are located very near to where I live. When I scheduled the appointment I was told that They required a $ 60 payment for an estimate. I said that would be fine if once I hired them this $ 60 was applied toward the work and was told no.
This makes me very suspicious of how effective they are. I contacted two other rodent specialists in the area and both were willing to provide me a free inspection and estimate.

Had a huge problem with rats one morning and called La Cucaracha and within 2 hours they were at my door with excellent service, advise and professionalism.
Noël & Hector were the fellas who arrived and they dealt with my concerns (no poison please as i have dogs and don’t want dead rodents hiding around the place!), appraised the situation, filled holes perfectly and put a plan together to solve the problem.
They spent a few hours thoroughly dealing with the issue and left me one very content homeowner.
