History
Established in 1960.
Koreana Gifts and Arts was opened in 1960 in Los Angeles. Koreana Gifts was founded by John and Cathy Han. It was the first Korean Gift Store to open in the United States.
After John and Cathy retired in 2005, Bill Yoon became the new owner of Koreana Gifts.

Business Owner
Bill is a third generation Korean American. Bill’s Korean grandfathers, Kyung Hak Yoon and Choong Sup Park, came to the United States in 1902. Bill is the son of Harold and Gloria Yoon who are both second generation Korean Americans. Bill has a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Painting, and a Master’s Degree in Multicultural Education. Bill taught Art for 15 years at the middle school and high school levels. Bill has previously worked as a Service Manager for Acura and Nissan dealers.
