More life. More years. More love. That’s what JFFD is all about. The fact is the single most important element to a dog’s life,(after he has found the love of his family) is his daily diet. The food you put in your dog’s body, more than anything else, will determine his future health, happiness, energy level and perhaps even his vet bills. 100% of the ingredients we use to make JustFoodForDogs are certified for human consumption by the USDA /FDA. All of our dog recipes are cooked at minimum levels in our own kitchens in Newport Beach, Sherman Oaks, Manhattan Beach and West Hollywood, California. They are not a ‘factory’ or a ‘plant’ certified to make dog food but kitchens that have never seen the presence of even one ‘feed quality’ ingredient — ever. This method is much more hands on, it takes longer and costs more but it retains the nutritional value of the ingredients and in our view, makes JustFoodForDogs the best food in the world for your dog.

Established in 2010.
Established in 2010 For years we have been researching dog food. Who are the companies that make it? Why are they in the business? What is in the food they make? Why? What’s good about what they do? What’s bad… and how can it be better?
In July 2010 we started construction on the world’s first dog kitchen in Newport Beach, California. Since then we have opened up two other kitchens. One being our West Hollywood, California location and the other and most recent being in Sherman Oaks, California. As part of our ongoing efforts, we constantly develop new recipes, host cooking classes, dog rescue events, yappy hours (fun for dogs and humans) and other dog social events at our kitchens. A native of Orange County, Shawn Buckley has been an entrepreneur his entire professional career. JustFoodForDogs began about 10 years ago when he began investigating what was in the commercial dog food he was feeding his two dogs, Simon and Nala. It didn’t take long for him to realize he was never going to feed his dogs commercial dog food again. He also discovered an industry and market that provided him an opportunity that would combine both his passion for his dogs and his skills as an entrepreneur. From that moment on, life changed for him, Simon, Nala and now thousands of other dogs.
