Dr. Sohn… Who do i go to now… some random dentist in Korea ruined my teeth. I was gonna visit you on July right after my trip to Korea. I should have gone to you and said that You are the best dentist and great person. Why God takes good person. maybe you were the angel and he needs you there. Rest In peace my friend…

I am absolutely devastated. Dr Sohn was my dentist, and my sister’s dentist. I went in today, and his staff told me that he died suddenly last month. Dr Sohn was a wonderful person, it was never about money for him. His office was packed constantly with older folks, often people who didn’t speak English and had little income. He helped everyone, and his prices were always so reasonable. He was also very talented, and solved problems for me that other dentists couldn’t fix. He truly was one of the good guys. I can still see him walking around in his plastic crocs. I used to take pictures of him and text them to my sister, and he would laugh and say «I can’t charge you more than $ 80 because that’s how much I charge your sister». Then he would think it was so funny, and we would both laugh. He was a doll. Only 46 years old, it’s a terrible loss to his patients. My heartfelt condolences to his family, if you are reading this. Dr Sohn was loved by many.

Doctor Sohn unexpectedly passed away in early august 2015. He was a great doctor who cared for patients well being. I was told by building staff that another dentist will take over the business at some point soon. May he rest in peace.

Dr. Sohn is a saint. Always flexible with a rather full schedule and gives me great advice when it comes to my options for fillings, etc. Can’t recommend this guy enough, so I’m giving him another five stars.

Dr. Sohn is great. He’s friendly and honest and that’s always been the case as I’ve been seeing him for a few years. He won’t hesitate to be completely straight-​up, and say if he thinks a procedure is unnecessary which I really value.
As for a previous reviewer saying the place was shabby and that you had to book months in advance? The place is located near mid-​wilshire in a normal high-​rise building with vaildated parking, nothing bad about it. The ladies at the front are nice and knowledgeable. And at times I have had to book a month in advance, but that speaks to how well his office is doing. His prices are very reasonable and he is most likely covered by your insurance compared to some other ritzy, over-​priced dentist with say an office in Beverly Hills, who makes you pay out-​of-​pocket for general dental work.

I chose this dentist based on the reviews… biggest mistake ever! The office is located in a weird setting… when I walked in it looked like some old shabby accounting office. The dentist did not seem very friendly he looked tired and irritated that he had to see me or something. I will not go back here because the dentist told me he would just «check» to see (since he stated «he wasn’t sure») what I really needed done on my tooth. Well surprise… after it was too late and no turning back, he said I needed a very expensive procedure done, and I had several other teeth that needed work on as well. I asked if he could work on the other teeth as well but he said I needed to make another appointmen… wth? one tooth per visit? Another thing that irked me was the long a** wait time to get an appointment. You gotta book like freakin 3 mths in advance or something, supposedly cause they’re busy? Several times I went there, there was nobody waiting there. The reception was full of hispanic ladies who seemed nice but didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing and I had trouble understanding them. I changed dentist and after my new dentist examined my teeth she said there was nothing wrong with my other teeth! I won’t ever return to this dentist again!

I was desperately trying to find a dentist after an awful experience at the other dental office and I found Dr. Jung. I walked in after finding him on Unilocal in hope that he can see me on a short notice and help me to fix what was done to me prier. He did in fact found the time to see me!!! (I saw his schedule though, he is completely booked, so call first, you might not be as lucky as I was.)
I had an appointment earlier today with him and I am so happy I found him. I am tearing up, as I type this. If you ever had a tooth pain and were mistreated, you would know how I feel by finding a dentist I can TRUST.
(Before I came to see Dr. Jung my problem was: in tooth #5, that usually has two root canals, only one was treated in getting ready for a crown, the other one was left with a nerve in it. The tooth was also cut down to a small tip sticking out of the gum. The crown was supposed to be placed on this tiny tip with the exposed nerve underneath and a present cavity.)
Before I went to see Dr. Jung I also saw two more doctors, both suggested that my root canal is done badly, though did not pointed out with a certainty about the untreated root canal, just that is was not done properly and both suggested an inplant. This is how I know that Dr. Sohn is honest, knowledgeable and caring. He did not propose a most expensive solution, in fact his fee was quite reasonable and he knew exactly what the problem was with a certainty. Most importantly: he cares!!!
Yesterday I walk in to his office ready to cry, today he was able to fit me into his schedule and I am pain free!
I Agree with everyone else 100% who left 5 stars, THANK YOU for recommending him to me! I will recommend him to everyone I know!

Dr Sohn is a great dentist. He cares, and it shows. and he’s very good.
And yes, he speaks fluent English.
Some caveats though:
Because he’s so good, he’s super busy. Which means you have to book your appointments at least a month (or more) in advance (unlike other dental groups, he works alone; there’s no other dentist to spread the workload).
Also, he’s only available weekdays during business hours. So if you don’t live near his place, it might be inconvenient.

Love Dr. Sohn. Highly recommend him!

I have been going to Dr. Sohn for last ten years. And I challenge anyone to find better dentist then Dr. Sohn, especially at his rate. He is especially great with delicate patients such as my six years old boy or my 77 years old father. He explains in details and very gentle. He is also quite humorous as well.
