Joe Coffee

We’ve been to Joe Coffee a bunch of times… My wife goes for the coffee. I go for the yummy cookies and pastry. I love the ambience and energy of the shop… Feels like a real neighborhood café…
We also love the art… a lot. Can’t wait for the next one. Joe Coffee is the real deal.

This place wasn’t bad at all, a little expensive. Was out in this part of LA at night, the donuts kinda reminded me something my mamasita would make, but a more fluffy version.

Came in here yesterday as I was looking for a nice coffeeshop to sit and relax before heading out to work.
Pros: Good, HOT drip coffee for a decent price.
Staff is neither rude nor friendly. I’ll take that as a pro.
Parking was okay around the block on Friday around 10am.
Cons: Space is too small, it felt claustrophobic. The creamer and sugar area is so tiny, spills were inevitable.
Seating is extremely limited.
No half and and half.
No white sugar.
Overall, I was extremely pleased with the cup of joe I ordered, especially because of how hot it was! I can see myself coming here and taking it to go. It’s not the type of place you want to spend too much time lounging around.

Best cup of Joe ever! I saw Lavender on the menu and got excited only to realize it was a flavor for their Italian soda selection. Not a problem! The friendly guy behind the counter offered to add it to my coffee instead so Lavender Latte it is! He promised it’d be delicious. He was right.

I had the best soy mocha here– it was rich and full of flavor. I also grabbed a blueberry muffin and it was meh– I’d like to try a different pastry when i go back. Also, service is a little slow but its fine considering the quality.

A year later and I love this place even more. Great service, great products. I enjoy their selection of hot chocolates, in particular.
But whether it’s coffee, tea, or some sort of mixed drink, joes is your place.

Great coffee! I’ve been craving high quality coffee for a couple of week since I came from Melbourne to The States. This is the only place I found same quality coffee as those good cafes and bean roasters in Melbourne– the espresso city.
Strongly recommend any coffee lover.

Nice coffee shop in the NoHo Arts District, right by the Red Line Station.
Cold Brew was outstanding! It was from tap, so it had a nice strong flavor all-​around. And you can add any flavored syrup to it for your liking.

My personal favorite is a macadamia nut milk latte with a dash of cinnamon. no sweetener needed!
They have a variety of things to eat that are healthy, free wifi & comfy seating. The people who work here are friendly too.
If you are in the area and wanting a good cup of coffee… this is the place!

The murals are what make this place worth a visit: they incorporate images form hit TV shows (Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead) and blend those with coffee like a beautiful frappicino.
The coffee is pretty good too, but in all honestly, nothing truly exceptional, and the prices are about average too. The major drawbacks are that the seating is very limited and parking is a pain. I tried to meet a friend here so we could talk about an upcoming trip and we ended up having to grab two of the last seats at the bar, luckily it was quiet enough that we could chat but it was not the most comfortable seating option.

Cozy, friendly, and they take care of their regulars with a «loyalty card.» Coffee is actually really good as well. I wanted an iced americano on a warm day but they offered me a cold brew instead. After adding a dash of agave into it, I was in caffeine heaven!

When I go out for coffee all I want is a good cup of coffee. Joe Coffee’s cup of joe did the trick. The red velvet brownie was good too.
Staff was also helpful when my companion had questions about the specials.

Was in the area with my sis and we needed an afternoon pick-​me-​up.
Located between Theater & Tokyo Delves. Metered street parking out front.
Little coffee shop. When we arrived, there was no seating available and there was a line. :(
But as others have noted, cool chalk mural of Breaking Bad & on another wall they had film images playing. This has a very hip vibe. Also, noted some incredible looking pastries. We were too full for our lunch to indulge.
We both got cappuccinos and they were spot on. We need to go back to try more.

We were early for our movie nite at the Laemmle across the street. We were here when of was Bob’s Coffee and mainly recall having good wifi. We came in and found Joe Coffee — same space with nicely revamped cool décor.
Hubby enjoyed their cold brew on Tap w/​a splash of half&half. I had their iced Yerba Matte green tea. And later redeemed a free small coffee Unilocal checkin offer — that I turned into an iced coffee! –00–
Wifi is strong and we comfortably spent a couple of hours catching up on our laptops. Good seating and tables as well. Oh and they have refills for coffee and teas. Tea refills are $ 1.50, dunno what coffee is since it’s not posted. Just ask.
Baristas as super friendly and are happy to give recommendations and share their favorites. There seem to be some regulars. And even some folks who come in for 5hr stretch and open tabs for the refills :-)
Our go-​to place when in the neighborhood and preferred over Starbuck$.

YESSSSS! Great coffee in the Valley is rare and I’m so glad I found Joe’s! Dropped by for a pick-​me-​up after having a Friday lunch at Eat and this place came up on Unilocal right around the corner so we dropped in. The place has a fun vibe with this wicked cook Breaking Bad mural in the back and a huge chalk menu.
The girls behind the bar were such sweethearts! They helped us peruse the menu and we ended up trying some of their summer lattes. I had the white chocolate macadamia cookie latte over ice and my friend had the chocolate banana latte over ice. Yum! My latte tasted just like the cookie and wasn’t crazy sweet either.
We loved our drinks, but their homemade poptarts (which are made by a local bakery but I can’t remember the name) were staring us down so we gave in and ordered a raspberry poptart and they warmed it up for us. Warning: the poptarts should be shared because they’re crazy sweet but so good! I think next time I might not get it warmed to help tone down that heavy sweet flavor.
Annnnd, while enjoying our treats I noticed they used Califia Farms’ Barista Blend which really just won me over because Califia Farms makes my favorite almond milk of all time and they’re local too!
Love, love, loved this place and will be back for more coffee!

When there’s a café in the NoHo Arts District, coffee and art will naturally share the spotlight. Only in this case, the art is more immediate because as soon as you walk in, you’re confronted with a 16×14 foot chalkboard wall which serves as an immense indoor canvas. A local artist is selected to create a mural and it stays featured for a few months. That’s definitely some cool exposure. Additional artwork is propped and hung up all around the space too.
As for the coffee, they use Seattle-​based Herkimer Coffee. One of their unique offerings are their different flavored lattes — brown sugar cinnamon, red velvet, maple bacon, salted caramel and LAVENDER, which is the one I had. Pretty good!

Joe is a simple and charming coffee shop. A dark ambiance that fits perfectly with what the place is. The place is appealing to the eye, the menu pops out and paintings being offered for sale all over the place. The staff is also very nice and want to make sure you enjoy your time here.
I got the Iced Hipster Latte and a cookies n cream S’muffin. The latte was seriously unexpected. I wasn’t expecting it to be as good it was. It’s made with almond milk, agave and espresso, very much on the sweet side, but man was it a refreshing change of pace. The S’muffin was also so tasty. The barista popped it in the microwave for a few seconds and all the cookies n cream pieces melted inside. You absolutely need to try a S’muffin.
Can definitely see Joe becoming a staple in my coffee diet!

Awesome spot! I was cruising Unilocal for some hot new spots and came here and enjoyed an amazing pour over.

Joe. He’s the new kid on the block that you’re going to want to get to know. Don’t get Joe confused with Bob, the former shop that inhabited this location.
Oh, no no, Joe is an upgrade. Since he’s just recently moved in, you wouldn’t know it from outside. Except the chalkboard sign on the street that drew me in with alluring latte flavors like lavender, salted caramel, and cinnamon brown sugar. Yum!
That was the first sign that this place was new. I walked inside and was slammed in the face by the coolest Alice in Wonderland themed chalkboard mural on the entire back wall. It’s a thing of beauty.
I went ahead and ordered the lavender latte, and it was divine. I noticed their beautifully plated bakery displays and showed some restraint, somehow.
Staff is friendly and personable, and the space makeover has just the kind of elements you want in a neighborhood coffee spot. It can only get better from here as they continue to add the finishing touches.
They’re a great alternative to Republic of Pie, and dare I say, Joe’s makes a tastier cup.

NOTE: GET THE POP TART.
Stopped by Joe’s because I was in the area and wanted some breakfast. The girl working that day was very friendly and knowledgeable about the different blends of coffee. My partner got an Americano and I was convinced to get a homemade pop tart.
Apparently these sell out quickly, so if you see it for sale on the counter, BUY IT. There are different flavors and I opted for the blueberry. The crust is flaky and kind of dense and the blueberry filling was rich and delicious. The frosting was also a nice bonus.
