I originally found Jerry from a Unilocal search. his 5 star reviews definitely speak for themselves. I met with jerry to discuss what type of tuxedo I would like designed for my wedding day. we went over fabrics and colors. I appreciate how he help me match the correct colors and also explained how the lighting would affect how the fabric shows in pictures. in other words a fabric which is too bright in natural sunlight would definitely be overwhelming. Jerry is a master of his craft and I would recommend him to all my friends and family for bespoke formalwear. Thank you again Jerry for your help and you are the man brother!

Jerry is the best!!! I highly recommend using him and going no where else. I got everything I wanted custom made and it fit perfectly. I don’t even want to tell anyone about this place because I want to keep it all to myself. His customer service is the best. He is very reliable and the quality is outstanding. Totally worth it.

In preparation for my wedding, I knew I wanted a custom-​made tux and after speaking with some friends in the fashion world it became very obvious that Jerry was the go to guy! After meeting with him for the first time, I was completely confident I was going to look great for my wedding. His approach is very calm yet detail oriented and he takes you through a barrage of options in terms of styles, fabrics, and cuts. He takes his time to understand the look you want and provides options that exceed your expectations. He made me the tux, 2 custom shirts, and hooked me up with a friend for some great tux shoes too.
I met with him several times and he was very accommodating with my busy work hours. His eye for detail and perfection is a quality that puts him above his competitors.
Beyond his skills he’s a really great guy that cares about the quality of his service! I will definitely be referring him to friends and family!
I just picked up the final product today and its beyond impressive! Needless to say I will be coming back again. I’ve already expressed interest in a 3 piece suit I’ll want him to make soon.

Appearances matter for ambitious professionals. Mannerisms, check, grooming, check, bespoke wardrobe… yargh… to hail victorious within a symposium of apples, an orange, the orange is the persona non grata, and prep may well have been a frightful venture and my naiveté an Achilles’ heel, were it not for JB Clothiers. Let us explore upon my adventure.
JB Clothiers is located on the 2^nd story of an austere 1913 high-​rise on 9^th & Broadway. It’s owned and operated by Jerry Bakhchyan with garments hand-​tailored in Los Angeles, California. Years of my adolescence as an underprivileged urchin were sacrificed delivering within this helter-​skelter bazaar; hence my expectations were less than exceptional.
Remarkably, Suite 210 is behooving a master clothier. As a kitten would a luthier, confidently tiptoeing about a sales associate is the smart play; per contra, JB coddled my neurotically fastidious nature as would a caring nurturer and my superstitions were swiftly allayed while an array of garments were displayed for my culling. He wasn’t pushy, pompous, or condescending; rather compassionate, burnishing my ignorance upon bespoke tailoring from quality and fashion trends to color coordination.
After selections (quality, colors, patterns, and monograms), measurements began, cash was presented, we slapped high five, and bid adieu for eight weeks. Fifty-​five days later my loins were slim-​fitted in lavish super 120’s wool suits and beautiful shirts Daisy would sob about while my off-​the-​rack horse blankets were furiously cast into a lake of fire and brimstone, «a pox upon ye, foul beasts»!
Overall it’s a capital investment. You’ll feel fresh as a spring chicken, receiving compliments for days; lamentably more from monsieurs than mademoiselles. Dependent upon quality, a suit will run $ 1,500+ and a shirt $ 200+, spend and thou shall receive complimentary cufflinks and perchance a tie or two. Devoid of ploys JB will barter with you eye to eye, trust, for he was bedeviled quite a bit by yours truly. It’s my belief you never know people until they’re heckled in a nerve-​wrecking bind, the anguish on a greenhorn’s face as he or she buckles under pressure, mm… so delicious; safe to say JB flew like a pig, bravo.
A sumptuous wardrobe has rejuvenated my nocturnal ritual of jammin’ out to «See My Vest» with invigorating exuberance, next American Idol!

As you will see in previous and subsequent reviews, Jerry is the best!
In short: Go here if you’re looking for complete suit satisfaction. It’ll change you.
In detail:
Product quality and selection: There’s a plethora of options, patterns, and color combinations that befit any customer wants/​needs. There are literally books, upon books, of samples that vary in quality (and price) to fit your requirements. Lots of high-​end material; but also options that are nicer on your wallet. Based on selection, you’re building your suit from scratch; the shop has some great displays that help you imagine the final product. For me: patterns, colors, and shapes were always difficult to visualize. However, the moment I fitted, I realized what an outstanding product Jerry delivers. It was like Christmas morning.
Price: TBH, I didn’t come here with a specific budget in mind. That being said, everything seemed reasonably priced. There was no pushy upselling. But please note that I got what I paid for: Superior Satisfaction.
Customer Service: This is the greatest attribute that any business should have. And Jerry has it in spades. He works within the constraints (costs/​tastes) you provide him and generates a multitude of recommendations based on them. He provided detail options to the tailoring that, to me, really set it off the overall. As my first bespoke suit, Jerry gave me a list of recommendations that all closets should have. I got a versatile grey 3-​piece, 4 custom shirts, and 3 of ties that all match well together to provide numerous permutations. Plus, he keeps the measurements on file to expedite the next suit/​shirt you decide to get. Another note: he came in during non-​business hours to work with my schedule. To me, that’s the epitome of customer service
Overall: With lifetime alterations on his products, it’s clear Jerry wants your business for life. I’m extremely happy with the workmanship so I’ll continually return for additional suits and shirts. Customer satisfaction is what this shop truly sells.

in simple words: Jerry is the man!
I needed a tuxedo for my wedding and didn´t know where to go. I contacted him and we met on saturday 17^th. He gave me a full range of options over the phone and I decided for a ready-​made with the alterations because that was the best fit for my budget but I really loved it. When I tried it on for the first time I felt so happy and I knew that was the right one.
The must surprising thing to me was when I arrived… we basically shook hands and I took a sit (a 60 seconds thing maybe)… then he came with the tuxedo… it was perfect, good fit, minor alterations. I planned my day to spend long hours looking for the right tuxedo but Jerry had a good eye. My sister and I couldn´t believe it was a great experience… then we spent the day in downtown LA (but that’s another story).
The quality of the tuxedo, shirt and accessories is exceptional too! I’ll post pictures after my wedding.
He called me 3 days later to tell me that everything was ready for pick-​up. I went last saturday (10/​24/​2015)… I tried on again and everything was perfect now I can’t wait for the big day.
Jerry solve my problem in less than a week, he’s an exceptional professional… everything is perfect… outstanding quality in services and products… and of course, he’s a very nice guy, very cool.

I purchased a fairly expensive suit and had the sleeves shortened at a different location; the cuffs were stitched shut, in my opinion the suit was ruined. I took it to Jerry, he said he’d do his best. He repaired the sleeves and cuffs beautifully, looks good as new. I learned my lesson, I’ll be coming here for all my future alterations.

I went to Jerry to buy a tuxedo for a wedding. He was kind, gracious, and very professional. The quality of the tuxedo was amazing (made to fit). He even volunteered to drop if off at my home. Now that is service! Would recommend him to you with the highest regard.

I’m glad I met Jerry through a friend last year. On my first visit he took all my measurements, had me pick out fabrics, patterns, thread colors, lining patterns, collar styles, shirt colors, etc. I was surprised at the level of detail and attention involved in building a suit for me down to EVERY detail. Few weeks later, I received my first batch of custom suits and shirts and was just blown away! The quality of the fabrics, the way they all fit just made me look and feel like a million bucks!
I will definitely be maintaining my suits collection with Jerry from here on out. All around great guy, great suits and shirts, great service and very reasonable prices. I can’t ask for more than that.

I can’t say enough about Jerry. I went to him for my wedding and couldn’t be happier. I had a specific idea of what I wanted, which he was happy to do. But after we had some time to talk and look a wide variety of options, I ended up with something a little different than I had started with. I trusted in his vision of what would look best and he was right.
His attention to detail and desire to make you look perfect is what sets him apart. Obviously his custom suits are fantastic, but I was able to have one of his own line tailored perfectly and within my budget. Jerry is amazing at filling a wardrobe with the most amazing shirts I have ever purchased. I have been working with JB Clothiers for about 13 years.
The quality of workmanship, the fabric, the dyes, keep the shirt looking crisp for many years. The whites stay white, the colors vivid.

I was looking for a suit for my brothers wedding, and I was having huge trouble finding one that was fitted. All the other places I went to had some pretty amazing colors but when I tried them on they looked really baggy on me they gave me a Pachuco look instead of a more professional look. But then I started doing some search trying to find other places that can make a unique suit, and I found this one. Let me just say best suit tailor I’ve been to. I literally came here because of the Unilocal reviews.
I was a bit nervous about going, I was thinking I wouldn’t be able to find a good fitted suit. Jerry is amazing, he literally looked at me and pulled out 3 different jackets to try on and they fit perfect, although the sleeves were wide i asked if he had one with tighter sleeves and he just fixed the jacket i had on with pins and asked me if it was good. I was in and out in about an hour and a half. Everything is custom if you want it like that I really like the final results of the suit.
One thing that I didn’t like is the lack of parking. Yeah there are parking lots that you can park in but they charge way too much for the amount of time you are going to be there. Unless you’re just not going to go to JB then yeah I would suggest parking in the lots but other than that try to use public transportation or just walk. Overall best experience and suit I’ve had.

Jerry is an absolute professional. He always has the cutting edge designs at reasonable prices. I love that he comes to my office or home to review styles and do fittings.
But most important is the end result: the custom tailored shirts and suits make you feel confident, sharp and elegant. Clients, vendors and employees all take notice. Love the initials on the shirts.

From the moment I was introduced to you I knew you’d be my new suit guy. I was not disappointed.
Jerry has tailored all of my clothes after I lost a good chunk of weight. From jeans to sport coats he’s made me look as great as I feel.
This last round we tasked Jerry with 5 custom suits for my friends wedding and we had all shapes covered, from beach ball or linebacker. Jerry came through, he had us over for measurements and was very thorough in his explanations and breakdowns of how everything works.
Aside from the suits fitting perfectly, which I guarantee personally, the materials used were amazing. 100% wool with a beautiful liner, not that nappy ass pajama material at the pre-​made suite outlets. These suits were dripping with taste and class.
I can’t say enough JB, you made the day a whole lot better and made us look amazing. There aren’t enough words, thank you.
