I absolutely love my new sofa! Harold was the person who helped me through the whole process. He is very knowledgeable and nice to work with. The pricing was great, the sofa was delivered on time, and it is exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend this place if you are in the market for a new sofa!

I’m updating my review again. I was hoping that the next time I would be reaching out to Jaxon would be in a few years, when I actually wanted a new couch. Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago my husband and I were just sitting on our couch like usual and we heard loud popping noise. When we flipped the couch around, we noticed the springs disconnected from the side on the chase section of our couch. It’s just the 2 of us at home and we don’t have any kids jumping around, so I’m completely baffled how this happened, other than a manufacturing flaw.
This time when I contacted Nicole at Jaxon, she immediately scheduled the pickup the following week and delivery for one week after pickup. I was pleased that everything went as scheduled and we are enjoying our couch again. I’m crossing my fingers that this is the last problem we will have and glad to see they have improved their customer service!

I thought I should update since the furniture I ordered back in July did finally come, and Jazon Home did pay the shipping.
The furniture really is perfect, exactly custom built the way I envisioned, very nicely done and comfortable.
It’s unfortunate that it was such an ordeal to get the furniture, but the final products are indeed much better than «off the shelf» stuff.

Update: We finally received the cushions that were made well and make our couch look wonderful! Lisa also apologized for all the delays and miscommunication. Not sure if i would order from them again but at least i got what i ordered, looks good and quality is pretty good too.

I stopped into the Jaxon Home store a few weeks ago after doing a walk-​about of the Helms Bakery furniture complex which includes Buttercup, Scandavian Furniture, and a couple other stores. Jaxon is yet a large store at the end of the block, and I was told by the salesperson that greeted me that they are their own factory, and almost everything in the store is made by them.
So anything I saw could be made custom in almost any fabric, and dimensions could be customized. This is great, because I have an odd sized room I needed to redo a bit. The salesperson/​designer was able to help me «build» a sofa that would work well in the space… and on Saturday I am happy to say it arrived safely at my home.
I am pleased. Check these guys out for furniture that is a cut above the big-​box stores… and if you have an odd-​sized room. Once you go custom, you’ll never go back lol

Insanely expensive and employees with attirude. Overpriced and not worth it. I actually loved the products but the attitude and prices are enough to make me run for the hills. Z Gallerie is less expensive and just as nice. Look elsewhere.

First of all, how excited does anyone ever get over a furniture store? I guess some people do, but my point is, I don’t. Usually. Until Jaxon. You know those silly old TV commercials where the guy is shilling mattresses and he invites your family down to flop around all Saturday on his furniture? Well that’s not Jaxon. Except it kind of is – in a much classier way. What I’m trying to say is, they have a beautiful array of furniture in a very relaxed and groovy setting and you feel no pressure. You feel like somebody invited you into their living room — albeit a very grand living room and said, «stay as long as you like. And by the way, can I get you anything?» I got a chance to meet the owners and most of the staff. All exceptionally nice people! I spent the late afternoon and on into the evening, lolling about on a variety of very comfy easy chairs, trying to decide which was better, the supple leather or the excellent service!

Having just bought a house I was on the hunt for some unique pieces to decorate the place with.
I walked into Jaxon and was immediately greeted by a friendly salesperson. Wandering the shop floor they had a huge assortment of furniture and decorations. Each piece had a really unique and interesting design and I found it fun wandering around, checking out everything. The sales person gave me some space to wander, but was there to answer any questions I had. Apparently most of the furniture is customizable with the shapes and fabrics if you need something specific for your place.
I walked out with a few fun décor pieces and will defo stop in again when I need any larger pieces of furniture.

I had a great experience at Jaxon. They have a great selection and I love the couch and coffee table I got there. Need to head back for some cabinets and shelving. I also had them reupholster a chair that I love and It looks great again. And I got a great deal on everything!

Jaxon Home was so difficult to deal with over a purchase we made in 2014, that we were forced to file a Small Claims Case against them. On June 1, 2015, we won.
We purchased a custom dresser in September 14, 2014. The unit was delivered (3) weeks later than expected, the wood used for the drawer faces was incorrect and the overall stain was incorrect. They agreed to correct the issue and conveyed an ETA of (1) week.
My better half went to the store to remind them which wood and stain options were originally chosen. We received what was supposed to be the corrected item, (8) weeks later. The wood and stain used for the drawer faces was still incorrect, the stain on the main body was now correct. Upon delivery, there were many scuff marks, scratches; laminate was lifting and the drawers were misaligned. The dresser was completely unacceptable and the delivery company would not take the unit back.
Over the course of trying to get the issue corrected, we spoke with Lena, Sonia, Nicole, Christine and Ariel. I was never able to speak with the owner, Victoria Richter. Lena conveyed to us, that there was nothing they could do because we received exactly what was purchased and the dresser had been refurnished exactly as requested. At this point, we simply wanted to sever ties, return the dresser and have our money refunded.
Professionalism of the Jaxon Home staff was acceptable during purchase, yet upon the challenge of delivering an incorrect product to their client, their professionalism was diminutive at best. The owner, Victoria Richter, was unwilling to address the issue herself, leaving us to bounce between (5) employees in our attempt to resolve the issue.
After many phone calls and their explicit denial of any wrong-​doing, a refund was offered, minus a 20% restocking fee; this was unacceptable to us. 8 ½ months later (260 days), a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled in our favor. While we await payment (due by July 1, 2015), we’re in preparation to launch the additional legal avenues available (levy assets, suspend professional license, place a lien, etc).
NOTE: We purchased (2) other items from Jaxon prior to this experience in which we were/​are happy with. Our status as a return customer garnished no additional consideration. If you’re planning on making a purchase from Jaxon, I advise you to document every article of communication. I strongly suggest you choose another company.

My family and I went into Jaxon for the first time a few weeks ago to reupholster our antique dining room chairs. When we stepped in, we were immediately greeted and helped. Our salesperson was very friendly, didn’t rush us, and helped us select the right fabric for our dining room chairs — she was so knowledgable about the types of fabrics that would go well with our dining set, and would be most stain resistant (accidents do happen and fabrics with Polyester are more resistant to stains and spills!).
They picked up the chairs (for a reasonable fee), and had the job completed by the date promised. We also learned from that visit that they don’t subcontract because they actually have their own factory! We love the result. The chairs, once outdated and stained, now add vibrance to the
room and what’s better– Jaxon made the process painless.
We were so impressed that we made another visit a week ago when we decided to replace our old couch and reupholster our matching arm chairs for our living room. Once again, they made the process easy for us and we are totally satisfied.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had. The. Worst.
My experience echoes some of the other negative comments here. My sofa was delayed. The staff never called to keep me posted as to the delays, or even called back when I would call to ask for an update — I had to continually chase these guys around for about a month to get information.
The last straw had to do with the fact that I had ordered details and trim that weren’t actually on the «finished» delivered product. During delivery, I called the store to let them know that the sofa wasn’t finished to the agreed upon specifications, and the woman I spoke to (not my sales rep — she was out for the day) told me that she thought that they’d be able to finish the trim at my house by sending out an upholsterer. She couldn’t guarantee it, but told me that my sales rep would call me back the next day to confirm. So I accepted delivery of the sofa.
After two days had passed without a call from my sales rep, I called her, only to be informed that she had spoken to «the factory,» and they actually would NOT be able to fix the sofa on site — I’d have to send the cushions back to them to be fixed at the factory. As you can imagine, a sofa without cushions is absolutely useless, and given Jaxon’s established track record with completing jobs on time (i.e. awful), I declined that offer and instead asked for a partial refund to compensate for trim that I had ordered and paid for but not gotten. I was informed that this was not possible.
So, I escalated the matter. As it turns out, my sales rep was the store manager, so the only place to go was to the owner. I emailed him and explained my situation, and he offered to either fix the cushions at the factory, or refund me $ 250. I wrote back and chose the refund, and was extremely pleased that he’d gone to that length to solve the issue. Had the situation ended there, it would have been a satisfactory end to the matter and I’d not be writing this review.
In response, however, the owner told me that they actually COULD send an upholsterer out to my house to fix the problem (after I had previously been told, in no uncertain terms, that this solution was not possible), and if I chose not to go that route, would only offer me a $ 100 refund. After he’d offered me a $ 250 refund. Which I had accepted.
Anyhow, I declined to have Jaxon’s send someone to fix the sofa — at this point, having been told two different things, how could I trust them? — and expressed my displeasure with the owner changing the terms of his own solution to the problem. After which he accused me of being dishonest and only interested in the money, and not having the sofa fixed.
To his credit, after insulting me, he did offer to send me a check for $ 250. I told him not to bother.
For what it’s worth, the sofa seems to be fine. I’ve only had it about a month, but it seems to be holding up OK. Other than the missing trim, it meets my expectations.
So, to recap — I ordered a sofa that was delayed about a month, dealt with a sales rep that never contacted me to keep me posted as to the status of the delay, had the delayed sofa delivered with incorrect specifications, and was ultimately personally insulted by the owner of the business.
Would not recommend. Awful experience.

Great quality pieces, but the customer service beyond the sales room floor needs a makeover. Maybe I just purchased during an extremely busy time for them or they had a turnover in staff. In the end, all my expectations were met, albeit 2 months after their quoted time. It wasn’t until I had my credit card company put a stop payment on my purchase before they got their act together. Maybe I’ll return for a floor model piece, but I will not be having them do any more custom pieces due to the associated headache.

Love the helpful & friendly staff at Jaxon, especially Lisa Boyle! Plus, I can always count on them to do a wonderful job on all my interior design client’s custom pieces.

Great quality, great service, great selection which if you want they will customize in anyway and their staff offer great advice on style, color and fabric. We are totally in love with our couch. Thank you, thank you, thank you, we will be back.

I had a really good experience with this store. I ordered a custom sofa and a matching chair. I was a little wary about ordering something made custom. Having something custom made seemed like it’d be expensive and difficult but it ended up being quick and easy. I’m glad I decided to take the plunge. It was actually kinda fun :)
Would definitely come back!

Horrible. We bought a Bobby Burke sectional sofa. It looked great in the showroom. The sofa they delivered 6 weeks later had the incorrect legs chosen. But that was nothing compared to what this sofa looked like in only a few months. Aside from the numerous mistakes in the stitch lines, the material began to ball up within weeks. The stuffing started to sag within weeks as well. Today less than a year after we purchased this sofa, we are forced to get rid of it. What a waste of time and money. I would never recommend this company to anyone. How could they let this product go out to their customer?
They never returned our requests to come see the sofa they sold us.

Couch was delivered and it is as specified. Seems like good quality and it certainly is good looking. The delivery company had to remove a window to get it into the room we needed it in, but they did that and put it all back together. Happy with my purchase so far!

Worst experience. STAY AWAY. I left a deposit and was told I have 48hrs to cancel. Then I read the reviews and wasn’t comfortable moving forward so I canceled after a day and they told me ill get all the money back, even confirmed the amount of refund over the phone. After two weeks I kept calling that I still haven’t received my credit, after many times calling and emailing finally they credited me but deducted %10 restocking fee??? Really, i didn’t even sign the final agreement and nothing was made to restock. And none of that was said when canceling. Unbelievable, I’m very glad that I canceled, imagine if my item wasn’t done right, I would be completely stuck.
They act very nice and friendly till they get a hold of your money. I asked many many times «for sure I get all my money back if I cancel within 48hrs?» and Ed said yes.
DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE, STAY AWAY.

WHATEVER YOU DO DON’T PURCHASE FURNITURE FROM HERE.
I purchased my perfect couch from this place. I had it custom made with a fantastic light grey fabric. I got details on how to take care of it which i followed. After six months the couch started turning pink (See photos). When I called them to deal with the issue I got very little help or response. It’s been three months since I first started calling them and I’m being told that while I did nothing wrong they aren’t going to do anything about it except they’ll only charge me ANOTHER GRAND to reupholster it. So lets get this clear, if you spend three grand on a couch and it turns pink they will not do anything about it. They do not stand by their products. Once they have their money you don’t mean anything to them. There’s a reason they have so many one star reviews. Hopefully this place will go out of business soon so other people can spend their hard earned money on a place that produces a good product. If they actually do anything to stand by their product I’ll give an update but I’m not holding my breath.
On a side note, of the dozen or so times in the past 4 months they promised to call me back they only called me back once. Every phone call had to be made by me after the time I was told I’d be called back. Even when I was told I’d be called back later that day they would not return phone calls. This might be their policy as the people who work there seem so caring and concerned, but in the end, nothing is accomplished.
UPDATE VIA THEIR RESPONSE: Offering me to fix the couch at your cost still puts me out a $ 1000. The couch faded in a matter of a few months, heavily. It only got some light on it. I was never told not to have it be near any natural light. I asked specifically what I needed to do to take care of the couch and that wasn’t ever mentioned. Jaxon, if you stand by your product, you’d fix the problem. Not just charge me your cost. I’m sure many people are avoiding your shop after reading reviews like mine. Is saving a grand worth the dozens of people who won’t shop with you because they know if they buy a product and it fails you’ll skirt the responsibility?
UPDATE AFTER CORRESPONDING WITH THE OWNER: Jaxon is continuing to show interest my couch and this review. The owner has lowered the cost of repairs by a few hundred dollars which isn’t something I was expecting nor required on their part considering what has transpired. While I still feel their offer doesn’t address the issue of standing by their product and fixing a failed product it does show they are more focused in customer satisfaction than I had previous experienced. I do appreciate them opening a dialogue a year after I had given up on the matter even if nothing is actually resolved.
