History

Established in 1990.

J&P Deli was established in the early 90’s by Joe and Pauline. In January 2014, the establishment was purchased by its current owners.

We are strong believers of the developing changes of Downtown Los Angeles from its manufacturing phase to its new modern/​metropolitan phase. Being part of this transformation gives us the positive attitude to excel in our new business. Providing great service to our customer base is our top priority, from the one stop shoppers to our everyday regulars. Our doors are always open for your everyday needs. Customer feedback is an important factor of our business and if something does not meet the standards; please advise us and we will do our absolute best to go above and beyond in improving customer satisfaction and overall business.

Passed by this plays so many time without giving them a second thought until today, it turns out this is not the place i used to know, the ownership has changed and so did the store. I will be back for their bagels for sure and for the price they have the beat coffee in town.

My office has been right around the corner from this place for years and I’ve never noticed it until now (new management). The guys made a few minor changes and the place looks much better now. I never even gave it a second look before.
They’ve got all the breakfast essentials (coffee, egg sandwiches, bagels, pastries, etc) it’s perfect for someone in a rush.
The owners are extremely friendly and very social. I’ve come about 3 times now, and I plan to be here a lot more often now that I know they’re here.

Really! Honest!
They are friendly (like old buddies), have good food, and are inexpensive (not cheap). For example, today they are selling two hot-​dogs and a soda for under $ 5.00. In fact the price is $ 3.50. You can’t beat that anywhere and considering this is downtown it’s almost unheard of.
Once you’ve ordered from the deli, turn around and look at the shelves. They carry all sorts of items you might need for the home. Name brands too. And once again the prices are really (REALLY) reasonable.

The guys running the store are super friendly. Best convenient store in DTLA, great sandwiches, amazing atmosphere. Quick stop for your everyday needs, from cigarettes to toilet paper, they got what you need!

This place is perfect for everything you need. The sandwiches and prices are decent. The service is excellent. The guy running the store works his quote on quote ass off. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. I walked in to buy some cigarettes and ended up having a great conversation with the worker. I will definitely be going back to this store if I’m in the area. I recommend it to everyone who has the opportunity to go.

What a way to start the morning! They are ready to go in here! The atmosphere when I walk in the door gets me ready for the workday. They open super early for us and its a quick in and out for me. The guy at the counter always has a smile on his face and that is pleasant for 7am. The prices are fair and the sandwiches feel like homemade (like my dad would make). I am sure to be back!

Great, fast, one stop shop for your daily run. The guys running the store are super nice and provide great service. BEST cigarette prices in DTLA. Great snack choices, fresh pastry and tasty sandwiches. My new favorite quick stop while at work.
