Iris Barbar Shop

I’ve lived in Highland Park about a year now and I’ve been coming here for around 6+ months. Great cuts for dudes, very reasonable prices, and friendly staff. My usual barber was Martha but it seems lately she’s been working less and less (possibly retiring?) and they’ve hired a new barber named Milli. Both are friendly, professional, talented and I’ve always been happy with my hair after they cut it!
It seems like Spanish might be their first language so whenever I go I try to brush up on my Spanish and usually communicate with them in Spanish.
My only issue is the credit card machine. I pay for all my purchases with Credit card and sometimes they have it working and sometimes they don’t. Not a big deal but just a heads up.
4.5÷5 Stars, definitely recommended for a great hair cut for an inexpensive price!

I’m a super fan. Iris is great. I bop around between The Porch, this one place in Eagle Rock and Iris and Iris has grown on me like a fungus. Why? She’s open on weekends including Sunday. Her prices are VERY reasonable. You get a lot for what you pay for. She’s very nice and there’s rarely a wait. This place is undiscovered. There shouldn’t be a wait. She’s that good.
Normally I wouldn’t give a business that has an annoying TV five stars, but when I go in, she is tuned into these hilarious and dramatic telenovelas. I’ve never seen so much over the top drama and acting. By the time I’m done laughing my ass off, the cut is done and I’m looking muy guapo.

No waiting on the Sunday I came in. Very cordial and even turned on the game for me while she cut my hair. I enjoyed my hair cut! Great attention to detail.
