Men’s only sauna that is 24 hours. It is clean but has«old people» feel all over. Random statues. Small. When I visited, the reclining chairs were all broken so sleep was uncomfortable. Yes, all but two and those two were taken. There are two hot tubs. One is jacuzzi which was pleasantly warm. The hot spring one should be called a volcano. No one was in that thing and i could barely put my foot in it. Other than that, it has all the basics like dry and wet saunas, etc. has an attached restaurant. A good plus is the unlimited parking. No meters or time limit to worry about. I gave this place a 3star because it has lots of shortcomings in terms of maintenance and it is pretty small, but for $ 10/$ 15, it was alright.

Huh… didn’t know i’d be the first to review this joint! But looks like it’s symbolic for me, since it was the first place where i got to «pop my cherry» in terms of getting buck naked and immersing myself in the particular Korean bathhouse culture i so enjoy today Continuing with the theme of the«first time»… usually, your«first time» is a memorable trip into nostalgia where you’d look back with fondness. i guess for me, it wasn’t to be. i was coerced by a former colleague to go and i had no choice really but to face my fears and see what the fuss is all about My dad is actually(or was) a long-time patron; i remember he had a paid membership card and went almost everyday to wash himself. He’d invite me couple of times to go, but i’d politely decline and wait in the car as he went inside Unlike more newer joints like Grand, Wi or Century, Hyundae preserves its longtimer motif. The facility is in need of a major revamp and has seen better days in every possible location within; starting with the parking lot. It is almost too small for the amount of clients it receives and i had actually been involved in a fender-bender here whilst trying to park. As you go inside(oh, no females here allowed BTW), the changing room/main centre is pretty small and you’re immediately in the view of elder Korean males in all their birthday-suit glory From the centre, you can either go into the washing area or walk to the kitchen, which also leads to a door where the massage rooms are. You’d have to walk up a flight of stairs and you’re led into small rooms that are covered by curtains. The masseuses are old Korean ajummas(ladies) which do an ok job, but not for those looking to feel relaxed(i.e. Swedish massage) Anyway, the wash room is just as grungy and tattered like the rest of the property. There’s about 15~20 wash areas. The jacuzzi pools(cold, warm, scalding hot) are all in the same vicinity of each other. Further inside, you can opt to go inside the steam sauna or sleep in a jade room. If you want to sleep somewhere else, there’s a separate sleep room back outside the washing area. Pretty claustrophobic, if you ask me It gets the job done, in terms of getting cleaned up. After i found out other places like Grand or Wi, however, i never looked back. Well, i immediately began to understand why we Koreans love our bathhouses from the first moment i actually tried it, but i haven’t gone back there to relive that sense of refreshing liberty to get squeaky clean
