Reflecting back, I take great pride in the growth and development of my clients. I provided representation to clients as they entered into strategic alliances, added facilities in the United States, opened up foreign subsidiaries or positioned to be bought up in a merger. It is gratifying that my legal counseling and services helped contribute to this growth and development.

Before going to law school, Mr. Hoffenberg worked in the chemical industry. After graduating law school and before starting his career as IP counsel, he took a time out to be an entrepreneur. Upon starting his career as IP counsel, Mr. Hoffenberg had the best mentors; namely, he clerked at Dressler, Goldsmith, Shore Sutker and Milnamow (Chicago) and was an associate at Sheldon & Mak, Inc. (Los Angeles.) Once he got into the fray of being IP counsel, Mr. Hoffenberg has provided a combination of litigation and transaction services. Mr. Hoffenberg has prosecuted and defended preliminary injunction motions, achieved summary judgment and has had trial experience. He has drafted and/​or prosecuted applications for analytical devices and assays (including DNA/​protein arrays and protein sequencing,) chemical compositions, fuel cells, metal alloys, neutriceuticals, medical devices. In transactions, Mr. Hoffenberg, has drafted turnkey distributorship agreements and licenses.
