Everyone is talking about this hot dog place being the best. But honestly, it’s just ok. Im not saying they are bad at all, very good hot dogs. But my mom can make an equal tasting dog. In downtown they are doing the same thing. Bacon wrapped hot dog with sautéed bell peppers and onions. I give it up to this lady for working her ass off. Definitely worth supporting her

The best bacon wrapped hotdog in Los Angeles. We drive from Whittier at least once a month just to get some. Doña Olga makes them with love!!! I think that’s the reason they taste so good. Highly recommended and if you see the other idiot setting up shop next to her steer clear he use to be in another location and saw how popular Doña Olgas hotdogs are that he decided to park next to her and try to lure clients in to eating his shitty hotdogs. Don’t settle for second best.

Seriously these are the best bacon wrapped hotdogs I’ve ever had in my life and I’m confident they always will be. I’ve been driving 30+ miles for these bacon wrapped dogs for years. Olga, I love you and if I had the money I’d open up a shop just for you in echo park.

Thought I would stop by to believe the hype. Her hot dogs are dank if you’re drunk and have the munchies because as for freshness goes it’s like a flat soda.

if you want a hot dog at 2:30am in the morning, you go to the hot dog lady. you can always count on her to be there most of the time.

Me and my family just had the pleasure of eating these awesomeness. These hotdogs are the best. Miss Olga gave us her personal number and told us to call her next time we were in the area so she could set up early and cook for us. Who does that??! This great lady does. This is a must try!

No freaking way!!! I was looking on Unilocal for something in the area and I saw her!!! I haven’t had one of her hot dogs in YEARS!!! But it’s one of those hot dogs that you remember!
I used to live in Echo Park about 6 — 7 years ago… man the neighborhood has changed! But anyways, her alley dogs are the best!!! Especially when coming back from a night of drinking!
She’s a local legend! I’m happy to know that she’s around… I’m not in a hot dog mood at the moment… but I’ll be back!

No way! I never would have guessed that in a million years, The hot dog lady would actually be taking reviews! Well, here is mine!
Located right in front of United Oil in the ever so growing gentrified city otherwise known as Echo Park, the hot dog lady not only serves hot dogs, but the tastiest pupusas and empanadas I have ever ate! That is no lie! So cheap in price ($ 1 empanadas, $ 2 pupusas). Almost unbelievable. Yes, she also does sell sodas and water to pair your food with.
Yes, coming at night, you will run into the inebriated folks that frequent the bars nearby. I have came here numerous times whenever I am around the area frequenting such places as Short Stop, The Gold Room, Das Bunker and such. It does get cold around here at night but that is the least of your worries once you try their pupusas, empanadas, or hot dogs which might I add, are bacon wrapped. Mmmmm!
Before I close this review, I must shout out the hot dog lady because she is just too sweet! Your go to place for your after hours debauchery in Echo Park. Do not knock it until you try it! BTW, I came this past weekend all the way from Long Beach just to try their pupusas and empanadas. Best 18 mile drive I ever took!

The best street hot dog I’ve had. The hot dog lady hooks it up and for a very good price, it’s worth it to find her. She is the sweetest person and dishes out some exceptional service. I don’t remember where exactly on Sunset she sets up shop, but it’s in front of a gas station. The hot dogs are full of flavor and ingredients done your way and a chili pepper on the side. Definitely a big bang for your buck whether you are visiting a local bar or just craving that awesome taste of a street dog, this is the spot to head to. Thumbs up for the hot dog lady!

Best bacon wrapped hot dogs in LA!!! There was also a guy next to her selling pupusas. Didn’t try them but they looked delicious! Got there around midnight, glad I missed the drunken crowds.

Great place to grab some food after hours! went there at 230 after bar hopping down town and then jumping around silver lake. The best part is how quick you get your food, the line doesn’t phase you because you get to meet new people all looking for the same thing — - some good food to mix with the good drink consumed throughout the night. Must get the non kosher bacon wrapped dog with all the goodies! Reminds me of the dirty dogs Mexico! Soo good.

Whether you are drunk from a night of Echo Park bar hopping, or just have the late night munchies hot dog lady never fails to satisfy! Though there aren’t many variations of the L. A classic bacon wrapped hot dog the most critical variant among these stands is without a doubt cleanliness and señora definitely passes the test.

«Packedass shortstop took an hour to get into, only to deal with a humid sweaty dance floor, trying to enjoy my racer 5 ipa as crowds of people bumped into me from all directions.» «Finally some fresh air,» stepping out of that packed-​uptheass hole in the wall. «holyshhit what’s that smell???,» as the pungent bacon hugging beef weenies sizzled on her heaven-​made ghetto-​rigged adult-​sized easy-​frying stove top. We walked up to her little stand right in front of this out-​of-​nowhere gas station and ordered 2 bacon dogs, «con todo.» Apparently, «todo» means death because as I sat there in my seat eating these dirty dogs from the LA gods, i realized a part of me died that night. I would never be able to enjoy another plain hot dog again. Family bbqs, Dodger games, even the old hotdog wiener and eggs breakfast; those dishes were now, as appealing to me as a back massage with barbed wire. Ok not that extreme, but eating your favorite food without your favorite sauce. The depression that came with that, is the depression I would feel with any hot dog that came from anywhere but this beautifully skilled hot dog lady on perfect late nights like tonight.
They say crime doesn’t take time off… Well neither does she. And a crime it was to try to restrain from eating 2 or more.
Hot dog lady will forever hold a place in my heart. Ironically, Hot dog lady will probably also be the one to load my heart with all kinds of greases and fats leading to the demolition of the place in my heart that she held so dearly.

She’s still there and still freaking awesome! Don’t get confused with the other randoms trying to get in on her business.
Also, to update the gas station is fully renovated and restored! No longer an abandoned scary corner, it’s a brightly lit paradise now for BWH!

I found her on Unilocal,looking for dirty dogs around the area. I went to get a dirty dog from her on a regular night, sober. And it still tasted DELICIOUS. It tasted very… I’m not sure if «authentic» would be a good word, but it tasted like how a dirty dog should taste.
There are some dirty dog carts outside of clubs after the club ends, such as Belasco, and those hot dogs do NOT taste that great. They taste like a fake dirty dog. If you are not drunk out of a club and want a quick dirty dog, come to this lady.

Man. this is one of the best street LA hotdog, via sunset blvd around 9pm mostly after midnight/​club. the hotdog wasnt that expensive 2dollars is all worth it.
im the guy that you can find at night cruisin around LA every weekend looking for getaway hotdog tacos and most of this street food hunting.

How can you not be happy. Especially when 90% of her customers are usually drunk so everything taste good. But really, bacon wrapped hot dogs 2 for 6. And trust me, you’ll want 2 to yourself. It’s like the best decision you could possibly make in your life.
