I’m a longtime corset wearer and owner. Corsets are a passion of mine, and I mean REAL corsets with steel busks that cinch and mold your waistline into something divine. None of the corsets I currently own were quite right for an event coming up shortly. So, having found Hoss International online, I decided to drop by and see what was in the shop. I found a delirious assortment of gorgeous, ready-​made corsets in every fabric imaginable! I’ve been in corset shops before, but this one is enormous. Hoss himself helped me find what I needed fairly quickly. (Just by looking at me he correctly gauged my waist size.) But even though I’d found what I wanted, I couldn’t tear myself away. I had to see everything — the bloomers, dress shirts, neck ruffs, and much more. The shop is THAT amazing. Even better, Mr. Hoss himself is charming, professional and a delight to do business with. I can’t recommend this store highly enough.

Best of the best! I have brought several up and coming models to Hoss because he is the best in the world at what he does. He has impeccable taste and the uncanny ability to find the perfect cincher (corsette) for every person regardless of height, body type and posture. My friends have all had significant reductions in their waistline and years later still feel that the Hoss Intl pieces they own are still their favorite. Sometimes in life you get what you pay for. While his prices is at a small premium so is his expertise and quality of product. Since we are only made with one body why not where the best garments on the planet !

What a great experience. I am looking for something custom to go under my wedding dress and Hoss is the guy. I have a very large chest and he completely understood my needs (and the problems that come with having a large chest). He will never try to up sell you and instead tries to figure out what is very best for your body. Cannot wait to get my dress in and to start working on a custom piece! Side note: my fiancé loved the experience too. Getting a personal appointment with Hoss doesn’t include pressure to buy and he felt very included in the whole process!

This place is awesome Hoss is so welcoming and he knows his shit. I am a bigger woman and was a little intimidated to walk in, but hoss was very encouraging was excited to help me. Will come back again :)

Where do I even begin? Right now on Instagram we see numerous girls wearing waist trainers and waist clinchers. We see their perfect bodies and immediately want one. I mean who doesn’t? Now where do we buy one? How do you know what size you are? How do you wear one? A lot of questions come to mind when you decide to make an investment on one.
I got close to purchasing a waist clincher online due to desperation, the only reason I didn’t was because I couldn’t find my bank card (So glad I didn’t buy). I then thought the investment through and decided the best way to approach this was to buy it at a store in order to get measured and know my size. I didn’t want to go through the inconvenience of purchasing one that wasn’t my size and end up having to resell it on Ebay since they do not accept returns once it’s been worn. So I jumped on Unilocal and looked up waist training. I came across Hoss International and read all of the reviews. I knew this was the place to go, so I made an appointment and I have a crazy work schedule (I am a workaholic) Hoss was able to accommodate me in his schedule within a few days. I arrived to my appointment and was greeted by Hoss. He showed me around his store which is corset heaven! He has a huge selection of corsets and waist clinchers. He tried a waist clincher on me, and I was not expecting to see what I saw. My waist literally shrank INCHES immediately. I could not stop saying «Oh my God» Hoss even joked and said «Oh my Hoss» lol. But seriously if you are considering buying a waist clincher you have to go to Hoss. The quality is exceptional! Did I mention when I wear the waist clincher I can actually breathe?
Price wise it is not cheap; however you get what you pay for. Plus as I mentioned earlier, the quality is amazing! I would much rather spend on something that works and will last, as opposed to something that will rip within a few uses.
Hoss himself is such a sweet, knowledgeable, and funny man. He makes you feel comfortable, and he treats you as if you’ve been friends forever. Ladies!!! If you seriously want a waist clincher, corset, or lingerie you must come here! You will not regret it!

Before I checked out Hoss International, I was #overit. Over it dot com, dot org, dot net, dot gov… when it came to nice corsets and lingerie. It all seemed cheap, flammable, not durable and extremely uncomfortable. Yes, I’m looking at you, Yandy, Frederick’s, Victoria’s Secret, and even the wildly overpriced sweatshop-​produced garments at Trashy Lingerie in Beverly Hills.
This store, however, had me like a kid in a candy store. So much satin, lace and other gorgeous adornments! Everything is neatly organized and pleasing to the eye, and the mannequins give you an idea of what it will look like. If you make an appointment, as I did, Hoss will personally walk you through the store and help you choose what will look best on your figure. He doesn’t even measure you, he can tell on sight what waist size you are. How crazy is that. He will also show you how to put on the corset/​cincher/​garter belt so you can do it on your own, and without assistance.
What I liked best was that the cincher wasn’t even organ/​bone-​crushing. I could breathe, I could sit, and my posture was 110% improved. It was a miracle, as you’ll see in the picture I posted.
Hoss will make you anything you like, in any style, and any fabric you choose. Love that.
Haven’t yet purchased anything, because it’s quite pricey — but hoping to in the near future!

It was my first time coming here and the owner Hoss made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I was curious about all the different corsets that were out there and to find out that he designs and makes his own was amazing! You can tell the corsets were made very well by the materials that he uses. Hey! You get what you pay for! I ended up buying a corset and I’m in love with it. Thanks hoss! :)

Dear Ladies, we’ve been robbed. That’s right… robbed! It’s obscene & not in a good way. Why is it that all we’re offered for our lingerie is cookie cutter, cheap, flimsy, ill fitting nylony garbage that costs nothing to produce, costs a fortune to buy (all things being relative), to be worn once & like a burial at sea, thrown into a drawer because frankly, it’s RUBBISH. Personally I don’t want my great grandkids fishing this stuff out 40 years from now and thinking I was just lame AND had crappy taste… I want to be the cool future granny!!! Anyway, I mean, seriously… me as a pirate’s maul… really? My husband would laugh so hard the parrot on his shoulder AND his beard would fall off! (Eye-​patches have staying power due to the rubber band, turns out)…so unless laughter in the bed chamber is your goal, it’s not generally considered a confidence booster. Is there anyone out there who is NOT a top model that those pre-​packaged nylon thingeys actually look good on? Eeeeexaaaaaactly.

As an aside, what woman hating rocket scientist thought putting down-​lighting in womens dressing rooms was ever gonna be a good idea much less at bathing suit buying time? Possibly the same designer that created the 1980’s shoulder pad & the skinny jean, (anorexia required to fit and still they look bad), and let’s not forget that gel that gives you a nice summery glow but makes you smell like you wet your pants. Well, they clearly hate people & APPEAR TO BE IN CONTROL OF THE WORLDS LINGERIE SUPPLY. Don’t support the haters! That’s where Hoss International comes in. Amazing lingerie is like mind bending, toe-​curling sex… once you’ve experienced nirvana, you’re not going back to strictly missionary, (unless you’re into that kind of thing, you daring untamed soul!)…your business, not judging. Hoss & Hoss International (almost enough said). Forget everything you thought you knew about lingerie shops, lingerie shopping and lingerie shop owners…
FINALLY GETTING TO THE POINT: I’d been wanting a corsette… a real one… and was on my way to L.A. with my hot hubby. An internet search brought up some shops, but instinctually we kept coming back to Hoss International. Good call, turns out. We hit town and made a bee line to Hoss, who is a big, sweet, enthusiastic, fun, bear of a guy who clearly loves the human form and it shows. He and the hubby had me put together and FEELING like a million bucks in no time… we had a blast and we love the pinstripe full corsette so much, that my baby just ordered a waist cincher from our new lingerie guru, Hoss, in caramel Buffalo hide & I CAN’T WAIT. Ladies, especially if you’re deliciously voluptuous a corsette is even SEXIER! Hoss is also the designer, & actually LOVES the peeps he’s dressing. The quality is, well let’s just say he’s Godiva Truffles and everybody else is that old french fry that fell between the seats in your car last summer and you just noticed cause you were fishing around for the keys you dropped and the fry is what you pulled out… eeeexaaactly. Don’t settle for old fries! Stand up for yourself like the force of sexy nature you were born to be, ya free spirit, you, demand some Hoss International!!!
Hoss International rules… really, check out the website and get yourself inspired! Might cost a little more than your basic mall crap… but this stuff won’t be embarrassing you in front of your heirs years from now AND you get to embrace your womaness NOW. Thank you Hoss, not least of all because the parrot was pretty loud.

The owner is amazing. It felt like I’ve known him my whole life. He is very knowledgeable and showed me the difference between the cheaper corsets and the better ones. You can see the difference and you definitely get what you pay for. The quality is exceptional. I never felt pressured into making a purchase. This is just the first of many visits to come.

I actually ran into this place on my way to another shop looking for a waist cincher. I didn’t know it was by appointment only, but Hoss was finishing up with some other customers and welcomed me in. He actually showed me a corset, something I did not come in for because of all the news I have heard about them (eg. not able to breathe in them, etc.). He tried it on me and I actually LOVED it.
I bought a cheap corset from Fredrick’s of Hollywood a few years ago that a never wear because of how uncomfortable it is. When Hoss tried his corset on me it was not uncomfortable, I was able to breathe, I could comfortably sit down, I could actually imagine myself being able to wear it all day, and my waist was TINY.
With my Fredrick’s of Hollywood experience and seeing other women wear corsets on TV and the Internet I always thought all corsets were uncomfortable, this is not the case. Although the corset was outside of my price range at the moment, I know you get what you pay for, so I will definitely be back to get it in the future.

Beautiful hand made Corsets are beautiful and sexy, they are like you have never seen and purchases are guaranteed a lifetime! These Corsets are an investment, do not go in here expecting to buy a cheap quality $ 200, this Fredrick’s of Hollywood fall apart on you after a couple of years Corset. The fabric and craftsmanship is high quality. Items in this store you will never see anywhere else and the owner Hoss is incredibly sweet and helpful.

After reading all the reviews on here I knew this was going to be the place for me to go to re-​start my waist training. I went two weeks ago and it was the BEST EXPERIENCE! He takes the time to fit you correctly and make sure that you’re getting exactly what you need. There are plenty of options to chose from so trust me when I say that you will leave a happy customer. They aren’t cheap so make sure you are ready to make the investment. You are getting an extremely high quality piece for the price. I will definitely be back to pick up some extra pieces for my Vegas trip!

Went to Hoss International today with my gf to get a waist cincher.

My sister and I stopped by this shop and feel in love with the Hoss and his Corsets. Hoss was such a gentleman and was very helpful. He taught me how to put the corset on by myself and told my sister and I to call him if we ever had questions. I was looking for a training waist cincher online but was so confused on which size to get. I didnt want to waste my money on something I cant try on. I decided to see if I can find a store in Los Angeles. The first store I saw was Hoss International, and read some reviews and seemed like the perfect store.
Im glad I came to this store. There’s honestly nothing bad about it. I browsed around first then asked for some help with what I needed. He was friendly and made me feel great about my body. He got me into the right corset and explained to me why it was the right one for me. He was informative and told me I didnt have to buy it today. It was a little expensive but it looked fantastic on me and I didnt mind paying extra on something thats great quality.
I plan on returning to this store when I want lingerie.

Been coming here since my anniversary with my husband and I love it! I love Hoss and he really knows what hes talking about. He can help you make the best selection. Sometimes you don’t know what you want until someone shows you. His shop is beautiful and clean. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Ill keep coming here from now on. My style is old Hollywood glamour and classic pin up. Highly recommend to stop by before Viva Las Vegas Goers lol. Hoss will help you to look your best! What a guy! parking is tricky and can be far but worth it. I suggests parking lots instead of meters. You never know how long your visit will be.

I have a heart attack everytime I come to his boutique. I wanted to wear something super sexy that grabs attention, but is classy at the same time to my 20-​year reunion. IT WAS A HIT! And not only with me. All the popular girls were jealous of the nerd! I loved it!

Just casually window shopping in LA’s Fashion District, when we spot an advertisement with corsets. Curiosity compels us to take a stroll down the hallway lined with sexy costume-​wearing model posters. The stairs lead to a secured glass door, partially curtained window, and a doorbell. It looks very exclusive and apparently is by appointment only. Ringing the doorbell a man walks to unlock the door. Happily inviting us to view the floor he lets our eyes explore the very large collection of dresses, costumes, garters, underwear, etc.

He was attending to some ladies as we perused into a dark room. With a flip of the switch, I nearly fell over to the illustrious corset costumes, racks of gorgeous waist cinchers, and elegant accessories.
Flattery will get you anywhere. He really makes you feel comfortable. Hoss keeps you engaged and is very proud of his work as he should be. He has a small photography studio and I’m totally down for trying on his creative art and do a photo shoot.

I bought a Mad Men-​style dress and wanted to get the right foundation garment to give it extra va-​va-​voom. I had the crinoline but needed a little something more. Enter Mr. Hoss and his fantabulous Willy Wonka speakeasy of sexy, Hoss International.
There’s not much I can add to the rave reviews already here except to say that Hoss himself is a total sweetheart. He is professional and patient and kind and understands what women’s bodies can do. Call him for an appointment; I called one afternoon after work and he was able to see me within the hour.
The shop is in the Garment District downtown. Find street parking, look for a sign that says corsets, head up the stairs, get buzzed in, and be prepared to be AMAZED. The front of the shop is like, kind of standard sexy wear that you might find at Fredericks of Hollywood. But the back room, GOOD GOD, it’s like Q’s arsenal from the Bond movies. If Q was um, a corset maker. Classy, safe, totally comfortable and not what I expected at all. It looks like a high-​end boutique.
Hoss has a lot to choose from, from basic waist-​cinchers to leather/​steampunk corsets, to lacy, confection-​y corsets based on a 19^th-​century Victorian pattern. All of his materials are very high quality, steel and lacings from Japan, for example, and when you try on one of his garments, you will understand why they are priced the way they are. These are investment pieces, meant to last a lifetime.
I ended up buying a black satin waist-​cincher that Hoss taught me to lace up myself. It’s very easy, and he will give you all the information you need to care for it. This thing is effin’ FIERCE. And, um… well. You know. The gentlemen respond to it.
If you’ve ever felt tempted to try on a corset… come here. Come here at once. You will be amazed. And your inner Bettie Page/​Joan Harris/​Scarlett O’Hara/Dr. Frankenfurter will thank you.

Halloween is my favorite time of year.
So when I realized that my costume would look so much better with a corset — an item of clothing I have lusted after yet was never able to afford before, I decided to throw caution (and economics) to the wind and see what I could find…
You see corsets are not one of those items that are worth buying discount. The ones you find at the mall this time of year are shitty knockoffs of what they should be — handmade pieces made for the body type of the person who will wear it.
I called Hoss and made an appointment (which is necessary) and went in. Within 15 minutes, I was fitted, taught how to put on a corset without assistance and given the dos and don’ts of corset wearing and care.
Since, I have worn my corset twice (and it ain’t even Halloween yet) and I can say that the price was totally worth it. I have been complimented on how it looks, I feel more fit and my back pain (a new development) has been relieved. Thank you Mr. Hoss. You have a costumer for liffe — or for as long as my bank account allows.
