I have a certificate in professional photography with experience spanning over 25 years. An early adopter of digital photography in 1997. Trained in classical portraiture. Experience as a trainer and course developer at IBM, Analogic Corp., and Applied Professional Training, Inc.

Herb West recently shot some professional head shots for me. I am so happy with the results. Natural, professional, all-​around great job. He came to the house on a Saturday morning, used natural light and just knocked it out of the park. He did a great job retouching the two winning shots and turned them around in a very timely manner and he is a heck of a nice guy as well! I cannot recommend Herb highly enough. Whether it is an event or portrait shoot, Herb is your «go-​to» guy!

This is a long overdue review… I first met Herb at Eagle Rock’s «Relay for Life» a couple years back. Later, I continued running into him at almost every Eagle Rock event.
When I needed head shots for a pageant that I was entering, he was the first person that came to mind. We spoke about locations, attire, etc. and before I knew it, he was snapping my pictures! The absolute best thing that I like about working with Herb is that he is so easy to work with… I was sent the proofs within 2 days and was very, very pleased! Herb just doesn’t just take a picture, he captures the moment… and now, he is the OFFICIAL Photographer of Ms. Wheelchair CA 2014! Thank you for agreeing to be part of my journey!

Herb West photographed my 50th birthday party. The pictures are amazing. He really captured the event so I will have wonderful memories of my friends and family. In some of the photos he used a special technique that made the pictures looks retro. They are great for framing. From candid shots to formal poses they are all beautiful. I would definitely use him again. He is also a great person and a pleasure to work with.
