Personality alone, she’s five stars. But as delightful as she is to talk to, I don’t get massages to chat. My back had been killing me and I felt relaxed, but not much different after my massage. My boyfriend purchased a Groupon for me to enjoy her deep tissue massage. She spoke so knowledgeably and passionately about her massage certificate, I assumed she knew what she was talking about and walked away from the massage thinking that maybe deep tissue massages were supposed to feel light and people got them just because they liked being touched. I like my masseuses to really dig in to work those knots out — pain works for me. This was a really fun massage and I had a wonderful time getting to know Alexis, but it didn’t do much for me.

She is closed half of the week, and never returns calls for making appointments. Don’t waste your time. Find a place that they are available and open at least 5 days a week.

I have been to Alexis Rae twice now via a living social deal. First off it’s a GREAT deal, and would gladly pay full price for her work, she’s that good. She knows the sweet spots, and her pressure is just right, not toooo hard, or too soft, just what the body or area needs. I have been to a lot of masseuses and Alexis is the real deal. And a extra plus is her personality exudes light and love! Definitely will return again from a very satisfied customer!!!

Cons: did not perform the service I paid for. I scheduled a deep tissue massage and there was nothing deep about it. At the beginning she did not ask what type of pressure I liked and she did not ask during the massage if the pressure was ok, or if I wanted more. I spoke up and requested more but she did not increase the pressure at all. At the end of the massage she did not ask how I felt. This made me feel like she didn’t care about what kind of massage I liked. She was going to do what ever she wanted.
She did explain at the end that my muscles responded with tension when she tried to squeeze them so she would’ve had to go really deep in order to relax them. I have 3 issues with that: 1) duh that’s why I requested a deep tissue massage. I’ve had bruises from massages, albeit weird I like it that hard. 2) every therapist is different, but this technique is not the norm and it should’ve been explained at the beginning. 3) because this is not the norm, trust needs to built with the client so that they are open to something new. Unfortunately, I will never go back because I believe she will just do what she wants and not what I want or pay for. If she felt like more pressure would’ve caused damage she could stop the massage. Instead we both wasted an hour and a half of our time.

Alexis gave me a massage a couple months ago. It was so amazing, she really does know what she’s doing. I look forward to going to see her sometime in the near future. She’s strong and knows how to hit my knots right. Thanks again for that awesome experience!

Alexis is down to earth and her price is very reasonable. I visited her due to very sore thighs after some training (I could barely go up/​down stairs). I had a Swedish massage as I feared deep tissue would be too much for me, since I still have to train the next day (and typical deep tissue massage requires a day or two to recover). Alexis is amazing, after she heard my situation she blended some deep tissue techniques into my session, creating a very satisfying experience. The best part is that she is not like many other massage therapist that tries to use so much force on you to the extend that you hurt. The pressure she uses is just at the sweetspot – gentle yet firm. Very nice overall, would visit again!

Got a great deal on living social for a 90 minute massage, scheduled an appointment on her website, and got an excellent massage. Alexis was on point — she found and worked through all the knots in my back. I’ll definitely go back and would recommend her to everyone.

Alexis Rae gave me the perfect deep tissue massage with just the right amount of pressure. Her hands are amazing, the best massage I’ve had in a long time. Also, I love the ambiance she brings to her peaceful room. She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great deep tissue massage.

Well, sorry to say I wasn’t too happy with my experience. I purchased the Groupon for the 90 min deep tissue and & I truly felt that is not what I received. First off let me say, Alexis was super nice but the massage was lacking. I get deep tissue massages, not for relaxation (that’s not what they’re for anyway), I get it for relief from my back pain. The pressure of her deep tissue massage was nothing. It felt like a swedish massage. I can judge because I’ve has plenty of amazing deep tissue massages in the past. I even told her at one point that I would like more pressure and it was never delivered. It’s very frustrating as the customer to ask for something and for it not to be done. When it was finally over she then tells me she «went over the time». Ordinarily that might be nice but I was parked at a meter and she knew this. When I told her it was up at 5:50pm she them tells me,“Oh, you have 5 mins to get there.” WHAT??? I was furious! So not only did I not get the massage I had been looking forward to for days, now I have to jump up and get dressed fast & run to my car praying the parking enforcement isn’t lurking waiting to give a ticket! Not a nice way to end a massage. All the while I’m rushing, she’s trying to chat with me about referring people, how I get money off my next massage if my friends use my name & handing me a stack of business cards. The business cards went in the trash and no, I will not refer anyone nor will I be back. Luckily I got to my car right in time and no ticket was on my windshield. As for my back pain… no relief at all. Such a waste of my time and money even with it being a Groupon. Wish I could get my money back.

I have been to quite a few places for a massage and have to say that Alexis is one the greatest massage therapist in the LA area. She is very professional and really paid attention to areas that needed work on. I would also recommend to get the body sugar scrub. Amazing! Thank you Alexis! :))

o em gee. This was the most amazing massage I have ever received. She was very sweet and professional. Her massage room was upstairs and secluded from the noise. She knows the body very we’ll and teaches the importance of breathing. I would and have recommended her to others plenty of times. She’s affordable and in a very nice location. AMAZING job. …

I have been to the nicest spas in Westwood and those 20.00 hour foot massage spots but Alexis is the best therapist I’ve ever been to. Her secluded, calming and serene massage room is perfect to really feel comfortable and relaxed in. Thanks for working on my tight shoulders and wrists from typing all day long, Alexis! I need to come back ASAP! Oh and she’s a total sweet heart! Extremely down to earth and a beautiful soul!
