Harry Pregerson Child Care Center

I first started with one (of three) child at the center 18 months ago, she was 3 years old at the time. Now I have all three at the center and I could not be happier!!! My 3 yr old needed a developmental setting to grow, learn and socialize; and the reality is a baby sitter can not give them that CONSISTENTLY. Once I saw the care she got, I knew I had to bring the other 2 into the same setting.
I live nearly 25 miles from work/​center and I’ve researched COUNTLESS centers so I may transfer my kids closer to home (due to work travel) but no other center measures up to this center. My family is really spoiled here; we get great loving care, fun effective learning and staff are very attentive to the needs of each child. The center is always clean and free of bad odor. I am able to get a daily update on my child, and if I forget a day or two, week– they will bring to my attention any unforgettable moments.
I am that mom that walks in and out of the center at any given time and I am always warmly welcomed. I truly could not be happier for all the kids and families there.
Their philosophy is to learn through play, positive reinforcement/​talk to the child and have them understand the worng doing, and teach the child social behaviors.

I signed up my child for this center almost three years ago. There was a long wait list but the administrator said things move quicker than expected because parents sometimes pass on their turn when their child has a space available. I called to see the status of the waitlist recently and they said my child was not on the list. They apparently made new procedures where they remove your child from the waitlist unless you call to confirm you want to stay on the list when they pass the age level for the next level of childcare (infant, toddle, preschool 1, etc).
Thank you for changing your policies unilaterally without letting me know and taking the $ 65 waitlist fee. Just like someone else posted… poor customer service.

I agree with the prior post about this being a secure center with a developmentally appropriate day care. The teachers are warm, caring and very focused on child centered learning through play. The teachers and facility are the reason this is a 3 star rating and not a 2.
The big downside here is the management, not to be confused with the teachers. I found that management is a bit rigid in how they manage so don’t expect customer service to be at the top of the list. If you have another option, I would save myself the headache and choose it.

this school is affiliated with joy picus and la casita verde, so you will expect the same level of professional ism from both! The place is very secure with cameras everywhere. The yard is separated into two, one for the infants and toddlers and another for both the two preschool rooms, they are large and spacious. the curriculum here is truly child centered, developmentally appropriate and addresses all the developmental areas, fine and gross motor, social, spatial, and the others, its play based and on the child’s needs. Like joy picus its one of the most secure places I have ever seen, you cannot find it unless you know where to look.
