Dr. Yung Han is a detail-​oriented and trusted orthopedic surgeon serving the community of Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Han attended the University of Illinois, Chicago, where he received his medical degree, and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at McGill University. He completed his fellowships in orthopedic surgery at Kerlan-​Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic and at Hôpital l’Archet 2. He has completed his fellowship in advanced shoulder arthroscopy at Madi Hospital.

Dr. Han’s medical career is colored by many outstanding contributions to medicine, including several publications, research, and scientific presentations. He enjoys giving back to his community and has participated in many volunteer activities, including volunteering at the student run free health clinic and in the emergency, orthopedic and neurology departments at Provena Covenant Medical Center. He speaks English and Korean fluently, which makes him widely accessible to patients from different cultural backgrounds. Patients see Dr. Han for a variety of reasons, including wrist problems, abscesses, orthopedic consultations, orthopedic trauma, and sports injuries.

Dr. Han is sensitive to the uniqueness of each patient’s situation and adapts his consultations and treatment options appropriately to accommodate individual needs and concerns.

Dr. Yung Han was a former U.S. National Team member and Resident Athlete of the U.S. Olympic Training Center in taekwondo. He began his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley and graduated Magna Cum Laude at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in Kinesiology. He graduated medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at McGill University in Montréal, Canada.

Dr. Han completed 3 prestigious international fellowships from world renowned shoulder surgeons: (1) Advanced Shoulder Arthroscopy with Dr. Seung-​Ho Kim at Madi Hospital in Seoul, Korea; (2) Shoulder Surgery with Dr. Pascal Boileau in Nice, France; and (3) Shoulder and Elbow Reconstruction at Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in LA. He has also been involved in the medical care for the US Olympic Taekwondo team, Montréal Alouettes, and LA Dodgers. Dr. Han is dedicated to providing the best possible care for his patients.
