Get the carne asada tacos! So delicious. Had enchiladas once and those were good too but I the taco was the best! Sometimes tacos in dtla do not taste as legit as east LA tacos but this is my new fav in the area.

A gem hidden in DTLA. Comfortable little place with great staff. The fish tacos were incredible. We’ve never enjoyed better chips and salsa. Even tried tiplapia soup and it was delicious. Rounded off with a cucumber, lemon and spinach aqua fresca to make for one of the best lunches we’ve had in a long time. We usually try different places when we are out here, but not anymore.

This place is great. Best Mexican food in DTLA. I love the family that owns it. They are so sweet and accommodating every time I order. Plates to order: chicken tacos, shrimp tacos and try the ceviche! You won’t be disappointed. Great location, clean modern restaurant. Love love love Guero’s!!!

Sure you could go to Chipotle up the street, but for the same price or less you can get a burrito here that is about 50 times better, plus you get rice, beans and chips with your combo. The food is amazing, 5 stars!

Ordered a veggie burrito subbed peppers with spinach & potato but they forgot the most important ingredient which is the beans! The burrito is still good but the beans are my source of protein and my favorite part! I would rather have more beans and no rice. They are close to my apartment so I’ll try them again and update my review…

Good menu selection, Mexican staples like taco burrito mojado, tortas, jugos and café de oya. Prices are reasonable. All the salsas are nice and spicy, dont come here talking bout«ay que enchiloso esta eso». Good salasa are hard to come by!! Place is large and clean. Front staff is nice and attentive. All in all a nice lunch in the fashion District.

What a yummy place to have chilaquiles ! Stopped by on a Saturday morning with my girlfriends and we all ordered different things and I must say we all really enjoyed what we ordered ! Their version of chips and salsa is the best, seriously I don’t know how no one else has done it that way !

I ordered the Chilaquiles. They were really good, came with beans cheese and egg. It’s a cute little restaurant. I’m giving it 3 stars because it’s definitely Overpriced. $ 12 for Chilaquiles for 12 pieces of tortillas no thank you. They make good Agua Fresca Enough seating area Never crowded but slow service

Amazing place. Tastes pretty authentic(coming from a 1st generation Mexican). I got the Burrito Combination. It comes with sooooo much stuff. Burrito, rice, beans, chips, pico, salsa AND extra guan for no additional price!!! Great service. Fast, friendly and efficient. Couldn’t ask for more.

I was hesitant to eat here mainly because I saw hot plates and wrongly assumed food was not made to order. I know, I know, assume, you, me, ass. Whatever. Point is food IS made to order. Nice homey feeling place. They had two tvs playing soccer matches. I don’t know, it just felt authentic. I got chicken enchiladas, my better half got a carne asada burrito. I dont know about take out, but if you eat there they give you chips topped with beans, guac, pico de gallo and cotija cheese. It was kind of like nachos lite. And gratis! Some of the mex places downtown don’t even give you chips n salsa. So right off that made me happy. The chicken enchiladas were really good. Sometimes chicken enchiladas can be really bland. Not the case here. Tasty and flavorful and cheesy. I went with the green sauce because it was spicier than the red. It wasn’t that spicy. The homemade table salsa kicked it up a notch. Portions were big, prices were very good. I’m gonna put this in rotation the next time I’m craving Mexican.

I was a bit hesitant to order cause my previous Eat24 restaurant choices turned out a bit iffy… But I was surprised at how good everything was! It wasn’t King Taco good but everything was pretty yummy. Carne Asada Sope was crunchier than usual but hearty at the same time. This was my favorite thing here. The rice and beans were on point too. Burrito Mojado — The melted cheese on top really brought the burrito together. I would order this again. Looks like a wet burrito but not quite. Served with some chips, guacamole, and salsa. The Carne Asada tacos were a bit on the salty side. Definitely could’ve used a little more onion to offset the saltiness of the meat. Hot sauce was bomb! At first I was sad that they only brought three sauces but I ended up not even using half of one! Had me sweating throughout the whole meal! Or maybe it was the jalapeños? I don’t know which had the kick cause I kept devouring both. I love spice! Would most definitely order delivery from here again!

Had a yummy lunch here today which could’ve earned 5 stars. I had take out from here in the past, but this was my first time dining in. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly. The complimentary nachos were a nice bonus, but unfortunately they use lard in their refried beans and the substitution was very lackluster(a couple people at my table don’t eat pork and we asked for chips n salsa instead, this was not photo worthy and a tiny portion for 2 to share). Overall, the food was great with the exception of the soup being moderately warm. We had to send it back for additional heating(Minus 1 star) soup should always be served hot unless it’s specified as a cold soup… All in all, a solid experience and I’ll definitely be back.

The food is made by the papa, the family works the register and helps the customers. They feature fresh clean authentic Mexican fare that never disappoints! This restaraunt and the people in it are an oasis in the ridiculous overpriced world of DTLA. If you want a life changing experience, enjoy a fresh cantaloupe juice or ceviche. Today we are having cheese enchilada with red sauce. Enjoy!

Wow! Was desperately looking for a new walkable taco joint after a food poisoning incident at my normal Tuesday spot. This Mexican food needs to be in your mouth. I declare it best Mexican in dtla! Impressed me the most: how flavorful the carnitas were in the taco. Also good Beans Carne Asada Al pastor Guac Tortillas(handmade) Pretty good Hot sauce Could be better Chips It’s about the flavors. The flavors. Nuanced and very different from meat to meat. The people there are really nice too.

I couldn’t get no satisfaction this week, so I came to Guero’s. I’d been here once before, and their mole blew me away. Today I called in for pick up and got two barbacoa burritos. I can’t imagine how a burrito could be any better for $ 7. Ok, California has excellent burritos. The tortilla was toasted golden brown. There was just the right amount of delicious rice and beans. It was cut in half to show you the succulent BBQ in it, and it made it easier to pour on either red or green salsa. They give you one of each plus guacamole and chips.

After Café May on Spring Street closed I was looking for a new Mexican place for breakfast. I’ve been meaning to try out Guero for a while now and finally got there. Another great new little place in downtown that will definitely be on my go-to list from now on. You can get(almost) all the breakfast things as plates, burritos or torta sandwiches. We had the Huevos con Machaca as a burrito and huevos con chile verde as a plate. we got some free chips as a starter with two different kinds of salsa on them and refried beans. DELICIOUS! You can always tell if it’s a good place if the salsa is good and it was. Our main breakfast dishes were extremely good, great quality, and you can get more salsa if you want. They have a big variety of dishes and three changing daily ones which looked amazing. The staff is super friendly too!

I thought I’d already written a review of this place! Guess not… Anyway, my good friend Mike V. lives across the street from this place and said it was a must while we were in LA for a long layover. The place is family owned and really friendly and relaxed. Of course Mike V. is a regular so there was some friendly conversation happening there. It’s the kind of place where you do not need to speak Spanish, but if you do it works too. The menu is on the wall behind the counter and kitchen where you can watch your whole meal be freshly prepared. You order and sit down, they’ll bring you your food. Grab your own drink from the cooler and settle up when you’re done. Mike V and I got chiaquilles verde with the eggs scrambled in(you could get them over easy on top or scrambled on top of scrambled mixed in). Brian O. asked for fresh recommendations and the owner made him the fresh shrimp tacos. They brought out some chips with beans a guac as a little appetizer then, some toasted bread spread with beans and chicken tinga all complimentary. This was a nice touch and a tasty start to the great meal. Then, they brought out the food and it was FANTASTIC. Loved the chilaquilles and still craving it. The chips were crispy yet saucy, the verde was mild with just the right heat, the crema and queso fresco with fresh avocado and cilantro was the perfect compliment surrounded by rice and great beans. YUM. The Shrimp tacos were beautiful and on home made fresh tortillas. Everything was less that $ 40, a total value. It’s a must for Mexican food in DTLA and better than any place in Columbus, OH!
