This is a Guatemala bakery, but they also sell different kinds of breads, like Mexican and Salvadorian. I actually have never walked into this bakery, but my mother-in-law always gets breads from here. My mother-in-law said that they bake the breads right there, and sometimes, the breads come out HOT! My favorite bread is the SALVADORIANQUESADILLA. This quesadilla is not the Mexican quesadilla. It’s not cheese between two tortillas. Salvadorian Quesadilla is like a sweet cheese pound cake. It is usually made with queso fresco or parmesan cheese. But unlike regular pound cake, this cake is really rich and has some texture. It’s hard to say what kind of texture it has, but it’s just delicious! It’s different, cheesy, and amazing! Other than the quesadilla, there are also many other breads. Central and South American are very different than breads in normal bakery. They tend to be dry, but this is just how they are. They are great to be eaten with coffee. Since this bakery is not in the best neighborhood, just beware of your surrounding. Go with someone who knows the neighborhood. But again, it’s worth the try!
