Be careful. This guy will cancel last minute and send another «replacement» Dj. He obviously double books his gigs and takes a cut from his support staffs pay. Not cool.

Very good at entertaining kids! He was hired many times to perform at the dance parties at the summer camp I went to when I was a kid, and was always very good at keeping the kids entertained, including myself.

David is Amazing!!! Him and his group entertain not only the kids but involve the parents too. My kids and I recommend him highly. He is also very professional. He had smile on his face the entire time:))))) so glad we picked his group and he was available

I hired Groovy David for our elementary school carnival. He was prompt, professional and had a blast with the kids. We needed him to play music while the event was going on and introduce a trick roper that was going to perform. Even with all the other activities that were going on, he still got the kids out on the stage dancing and singing with him. He looked like he was having as much fun as the kids. He’s reasonably priced and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Groovy David!

David did a fantastic job at my wedding last year. My wife and I were incredibly impressed — we inquired about him at our friend’s wedding «Who is your DJ — he’s awesome!» He was in constant communication with us to make sure he knew what we wanted and then delivered — a total professional and a nice guy. Groovy David is totally misnamed. He should be AWESOME DAVID. More to the point, he’s a real mensch and wonderful entertainer.
We have used him for twice over the past 2 years. Working with him was a breeze. He’s on top of things, knows what to ask for and makes it so easy for us to work with him. There are a thousand and one things to worry about when planning a party but when you’re working with David you know that you won’t have to worry about the entertainment. He’s got you covered!
Kids love him. Adults are charmed by him. He doesn’t blast the music so loud that people can’t talk. He keeps things moving during the event and never misses a cue. In short, you can’t go wrong with Groovy David. He’s the best in LA!

We hired David for my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah because a friend had told me he was the BEST. We were NOT disappointed — and so many of our guests told us that he was AMAZING. David met with us at our home TWICE before the event to make sure that he understood our wants and needs — especially my daughter’s wants and needs — before the big night. He is very flexible and kept us all dancing throughout the night — no quiet times — although my daughter apparently had to enlist his help in getting us grownups off the dance floor to make room for the kids! He is so warm and cute — he felt like part of our crazy family. My son is up in a few years and we will definitely be giving him a call. You should too!

We have used Groovy David twice now for big family events — one at the House of Blues and one at the Museum of Flying. He is simply fantastic! He makes the party and keeps the energy going throughout the event. Everyone — young and old– had a terrific time. David is very professional and organized. He takes the time to meet with you and plan the event. His DJ and dancers were terrific — I highly recommend hiring the dancers to help out and keep the party flowing — David joins in and helps everyone have fun! I have been to many parties in my lifetime and seen many DJ’s and if you want the best, I cannot recommend David highly enough — worth every penny!

I experienced Groovy David MC/​DJ at my nephew’s Bar Mitzvah last year and was sold on him in about 10 minutes. He was fun, exciting, and definitely groovy. My sister and brother-​in-​law had arranged for live video coverage of the party and Dave was the red carpet host as kids got off the bus and carried on the theme throughout the night. Dave taught the kids new dances, engaged them in ones they knew and kept the party alive and kicking throughout.
One of the challenges in figuring out WHO to hire for a DJ is how will they manage the party? So when my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah came up this year, there was no question that Dave was going to be my go-​to guy. He was booked for my daughter’s date, but that didn’t stop him. He quickly arranged for an MC/​DJ combo that he sends out and wow, wow, wow. They were just as great as Dave had been. Bryan was a fantastic MC… literally managed the party from 6:30 pm when the kids arrived at the venue off the bus till Last Dance at 11pm. The DJ, Patrick, played EVERY artist my daughter had requested at our pre-​meeting and was seamless in his transitions. There was not a moment where the party lagged. I wasn’t expecting to have a great time (since I’m a worry-​wart), but I also had the time of my life. Guests and kids were 100% satisfied, so obviously, I was, too. Really good operation. Communication was good and the day of the event was perfect.
Extra good marks for troubleshooting — I had a disaster at the venue the morning of the party. The blind system was broken and the beautiful windows that I’d rented the room for that were directly behind the stage were covered in immovable dull grey blinds (floor-​to– 20 ft. ceiling). I was devastated because it looked beyond horrible, but Bryan and Patrick arranged to bring more lights and created a light show off of the blinds, as if they were an intentional backdrop, and totally saved the day.
