Green Leaves Vegan

I have to give this restaurant a bad review despite having decent food. Several time I have tried to eat here I have either been over-​charged or they have provided low quantities of food in the dishes we ordered. The portions are consistently paltry, they often add sur-​charges without adding what one requests (such as more almonds on the kung pao dish), and they definitely try to penny pinch and fight for your money in every way they can. They should clean up their business practices and to be more popular.

Got this as take out and was not disappointed! The price is awesome for the portion of good quality food you get. The Thai iced tea was so good, you could barely tell it wasn’t made with dairy. The steak quesadilla was soooo good and the egg rolls were a little too doughy in my opinion. Pineapple fried rice was great, had big pineapple chunks and a not-​to-​overwhelming curry flavor. I would definitely go back so u could try other things also!

Yummy! There are lots are asian vegan places in this area so i’ve recently been testing them all out. My first time at Green Leaves I ordered the chicken nuggets, Spring Rolls, Chicken wrap and Rock and Rolls noodles with added seitan, tofu and shrimp. I ordered medium spice on the noodles and that seemed to be just right. I can handle a good amount of spice but I think the hot would have been too much. I wanted to try all their meat alternatives and was a big fan of the seitan and tofu but the shrimp personally wasn’t my favorite. I think it was a texture thing. My boyfriend (the non vegan) said it was similar texture to shrimp and he didn’t mind it. He likes his spice and enjoyed the noodles most. I still have my favorite spring rolls at another vegan spot so these ones with the sauce didn’t live up to those. Chicken nuggets were a given yummy fried delight and the wrap was pretty basic but still tasty. I’d come again!

Delicious food, very affordable prices for large portions, speedy service, open late (ish), a few blocks from my apartment– what’s not to love? I had the shiitake soup, the rock n roll noodles, and a Thai iced tea. All were wonderful. I will definitely make this a regular thing.

Disappointing. They have tasty food but extremely poor customer service. I hate how they can’t substitute something. It’s their way or nothing. Not giving them anymore chances

Delicious vegan food at a fair price. This is a great spot in Los Feliz with a large menu.

Amazing food! I have only been once so far and it was SO HARD to choose what to eat because it all looked amazing.
I ended up with the pad thai which is generally one of my go to’s and it was so amazing I ended up eating and eating and eating even after I was soooo full! Looking forward to going back here and trying another dish.

Wandered into this place for a quick bite whilst my laundry was drying across the street. Service was meh, not necessarily bad but uninspiring. I ordered the shitake soup and spring rolls. The spring rolls were okay, not sure I’ll order them again. I was given the wrong mushroom soup (2 on the menu). I didn’t send it back since I had to get my laundry shortly. It was pretty good, even though I wanted the other one. I ate it happily. And will probably order it again. Looking forward to exploring more of their menu.

LOVE this place!!! The spicy eggplant is a huge favorite. Lots of tables and booths so it’s nice to eat with friends or alone. Sometimes I read and eat or sometimes I chat for a couple hours with good friends. Everyone has always enjoyed their food to the max: soups, curries, the purple rice, all yummy! Very reasonably priced. God is good.

Holy cow– their food was absolutely amazing! It’s a small restaurant, so seating can be tough, but the meals were absolutely worth any wait. The vegan chicken and waffles were particularly memorable, but everything we had was fantastic!

Not many vegan restaurants will get my endorsement, however Green Leaves deserves a great review. The cashew nuts with soy chicken (#71) has great texture and would highly recommend. It’s not too spicy, and the cashews add a nice crunch. My boyfriend tried the yaki soba and said it was «good.» Can’t say I don’t appreciate his honesty, but now I think I need to buy him a thesaurus. The black pepper «steak» was chewy like beef, but nothing to wrote home about. Great soy chicken, though… CASH ONLY!!!

Cute vegan diner with an abundance of options that everyone can enjoy! Affordable, tasty, fast & friendly service… I will continue to come back to taste everything on the menu & get the creamy mushroom soup every time!

Best chicken wrap I have had in a long while. And the vegan ranch is
perfect! I wish I lived in town because unwound eat here daily!

Came here late last night for some yummies and that’s exactly what I got!
First of all, the menu is HUGE! Which made me very excited because I’m used to going to restaurants and having a choice of like 1 – 3 items which are vegan. So to go to an all vegan joint is a treat. Further, to go to an all vegan joint with a huge selection of items is a HUGE treat!
We ordered the onion rings, rock n roll noddles, and «fish» dinner. We also had Thai tea and coffee, and the fried banana dessert. Everything was sooooo good.
The restaurant was clean inside, the service was very attentive and friendly, and the food was DELICIOUS!!!
The bill came out to $ 35, which was a great price for all the food we got.
Definitely will go back when we are in this area!!!

I loved this place. It is clean and the employees are friendly. All the items in the menu looked so tasty. We got a red curry and it came with red rice. I had never ever tried that kind of rice and OMG it was the most delicious rice I have eaten with my curry. The Rock and Roll noodles were so tasty and next time I am going to ask for more chile.
The prices are so reasonable and that is a super plus to go there. Food comes fast.
I wish the edamame were more tender and have little more salt. The Thai iced tea is so good and large :)
We live in west LA and let me tell you, it is worth the drive.

Vegan and kombucha. What is not to love? I ordered the exotic pancake and tofu scramble with a kombucha. The meal was way too filling. I could not finish the pancakes.
The tofu scramble was well flavored. I found the vegan bacon bits to be odd, as I could not recognize them at first. But after eating the pancakes, I was full. The banana’s add a really nice touch to them.
Great place and I will visit again for a vegan treat.

Came by Green Leaves Vegan last Sunday with my husband for dinner around 5:30 pm. We parked on the street (free parking) and were greeted upon entering. We sat at a table and ordered the following after browsing the menu:
Pepper Steak Dinner, $ 9.95 prior to tax– I decided to order the dinner combination because I wanted a meal with rice and vegetables. Sadly, I was disappointed with the pepper steak. I thought it was was lacking flavor (but my husband thought it was okay). The sauce that was used was a little on the spicy side (but I’m not a spicy eating person). I liked the portion of the purple rice and assorted steamed vegetables. I thought the portion of this dinner was pretty good for one person (but could have been fine to share a little with another and still be satisfied with the amount).
Rock & Roll Noodles, $ 7.95 prior to tax + Seitan $ 1.25 prior to tax– My husband decided to order this and wanted to add seitan to this noodle dish. I really liked this dish, as the noodles were tender/​soft. The sauce and seasonings used were really good. I kind of wished I had this instead, lol.

Service was fine with us. It wasn’t too overly attentive, but also wasn’t lacking either. Our server was nice and checked in with us a few times during our meal.
I would like to come back here again in the future and try something else off their menu.
A few things I want to mention is that their menu is crazy busy. There are TONS of food items you could order, that includes Thai dishes, wraps/​sandwiches, along with burgers and fries.
Also this restaurant is about 1.5 miles away from The Greek Theater (which was where we went to afterwards) in case you want to grab a quite bite before checking out a show.
There are also some musical instruments on the walls, including different guitars. I thought this one guitar was pretty unique, as it looked like a black scorpion.
This restaurant is also across the street from Home Restaurant in case you have trouble finding this little eatery. And there is also outside seating (covered) in case you want to dine with your 4 legged friend (s).

Pretty pretty pretty good. Service was kind of slow when there wasn’t very many people. The fake chicken was good, I am going to go back and try their drumsticks because that is the real test of vegan food.
My friend got the egg (tofu) scrambled and liked it.
I got the chicken-​satay with the side of cucumber salad, cucumber salads are usually rice vinegar but this had the sweet and sour sauce on it that was too much.

How have I not reviewed this place yet? I have been here many, many times. This is my go-​to take out place even though I don’t live very close. I love the Spicy Eggplant, the lentil soup, the curries, the spring rolls, everything. The food is fresh and delicious and portion sizes are just right. I love how rich the lentil soup is (there is rice in there). I also add their soy chicken wen I have a «meat» crazing. It’s very thick and chicken-​y and goes well in the dishes (though who knows what’s actually in that to give it that texture!)
Open late with casual vibes — I have rolled up in there in yoga pants on more than one occaision.
Take out pick up orders take 15 minutes — often less. And if you ask for the dish very spicy, they slice up chilies in there — love that!

Prepare to be confused. The facility has a gaudy Roman theme, with an equestrian bas-​relief sculpture and marbled walls. Maybe this would make sense somewhere… but definitely not at a vegan restaurant in Los Feliz. It isn’t particularly well kept, but it does have the most heavily tagged mirrors of any bathroom in a vegetarian spot.
Who does that?
The men’s room fits with the schizophrenic style of the main dining area. Guitars, flat screens & «healthy» vegan Thai food. But it still feels ‘off’ — like you’re in a strange vegan dream.
At least it’s not boring.
