My daughter loves to go to Resident Camp. She goes to Camp Osito Rancho every summer, just like I did. There is a new heated pool, ropes courses, canoeing, equestrian, hiking, and wonderful supervision. It is so important to give your daughter that chance for independence at an away camp. My scout has been going since she was 8. If your daughter is not a Girl Scout she can pay the yearly membership price, which is nominal, and still enjoy all Girl Scout camps. I can not say enough about what camping did for me and what it is doing for my girl.

I would recommend anyone send their daughter to a Girl Scout camp! The camps are safe, engaging, educational, and fun. The staff makes sure that there is something different every day so the girls do not get bored. Best of all, the camps are open to the public(not just Girl Scouts) so your daughter can bring a friend. There aren’t many other all-girl summer camps in the area, so the Girl Scout camps are a real gem. Programs are pretty diverse — I’ve seen a comic book illustration camp and a robotics camps, along with the traditional cooking, singing, hiking, and camp fires. I feel like the price is a bargain for the all-day day camps! Sign your daughter up – she’ll make tons of new friends and memories!
