Gilbert Lindsay skatepark is a solid little creation in the ghetto. If you rate it within the context of it being a flat concrete space with ramps and whatnot added– in other words, rating it within the lower tier context– itd get 5 stars. The people— mostly little kids that often get in the way. It is quite frustrating. Other than that though, there are the local 5 – 10 people(including myself) who always seem to be there shredding. It is a good, friendly crowd, down for skating. Additionally, there are lurkers who smoke weed, but they dont bother, and they are into it all. The setup— –Good 4ft mini-ramp –long fun box, two heights(one about ¾ ft, other just below knee) –manual pad options –multiple flat bars –nice fly-box –hubbas on the fly-boxes –decent trainer handrail(not one that it half a foot high and vertical) –a bank option –ollie options the surroundings— –pretty ghetto. not too bad, but just today there was a drive by(not directed at the park, but near). beware. A GOOD, FREE, PADLESSSKATEPARK! go early on weekdays or late on weekends.
