Been here a couple times and these veteran tailors can get almost any job done! It seems a little off putting when entering this shop(dated, tailors speak broken english), but their craftsmanship speaks for itself. George told me he’s be tailoring for over 50 years and he’s done a great job on all my items. The tailors here are always busy, which leads me to believe that they must be trusted by the stores referring them business. I’ll definitely continue to visit them when in need of future tailoring.

I brought my bridesmaids dress here to get tailored and he pinned the dress on me but not all the way down to the hem. The dress is made of lace and has a full skirt which was obvious if you saw it on me. When I came back to pick up the dress he had taken ten inches out of the sweep; completely changing the style of the dress. This would not be such a huge problem except for the fact that I am a bridesmaid and we are all supposed to have matching dresses. In addition he made the under lining on the skirt waaaaayyy too tight, causing the zipper to pucker in back and the over layer of lace to collapse inward under the zipper. When I pointed this out to him he proceeded to tell me that he didn’t touch the back of the dress, only the sides and he’s been doing this for 55 years. Yeah well I actually am a seamstress as well, I just wanted the experience of someone else doing work that I normally do for others. Now I will have to tear the lining out and put new lining in to fix the problem with the zipper that he «didn’t» create. What a waste of $ 40.

Needed pants hemmed in a hurry. Took’em here. 7 mins later they were hemmed! And the cost? SIXDOLLARS!!! The shop itself looks a little War-torn Afghanistan-ish BUT the two older gentlemen working there are the best in the business. So if craftsmanship and service matter to you more than«looks» this place is for you. It’s really one of downtown LA’s hidden gems. Located on the 2nd floor right beside SuitFellas on Los Angeles Ave just below 8th St.

You can get very quick and affordable tailoring here. The owner is a very nice elderly gentleman that has been tailoring for generations. The shop is a little dated, but you can tell they do quality work because they consistently have customers.
