I’ve taken several lamps here for repair and have always received excellent care and service. Carlos is a total pro.

Terrific service here. We had two old sconces cleaned and rewired and an old chandelier fixed and they located matching crystals. Very reasonable prices considering the service.

Got a quote from another lighting repair shop for $ 600 for a rewire of our hallway chandelier. Took it to Carlos and he did the job for $ 140. Great work with a genuine person.

Carlos saved me! Doing a big restoration project and he restored all the antique fixtures perfectly!

Just drove 40 minutes because Unilocal page says open on Sunday until 6. They are not. Owner says we’ve been closed on Sunday for quite some time. If you’re going to have a small community based Business I would suggest that managing your public hours is an extremely basic step.

5 stars * and then some! honest to goodness, these sirs deserve all the business in los angeles: o fo’ reals though. i do believe it was the boss man himself who picked up the phone promptly and sent his superman carlos to manhandle a massive moroccan fixture and two super bulbous vintage lamps. these gents did a superb job (like whoa) for a super fair price, and kept me in the loop the whole time.

I needed a light rewired and found George’s here. And so happy I did. I took the lamp in and Carlos repaired it while I waited. Terrific service! And some lovely chandeliers.

Fantastic job rewiring two lamps that have been in my family for years.
George added harps and the knobs on top to screw on the shade. The wires match the lamp and the lamps work great.
Unbelievably, this place delivers to Echo Park! They actually dropped my lamps off!
There’s parking right around the back of the store. Be sure to turn off Sunset right at the store to find the parking.

I wasn’t sure how to go about buying an extravagant lighting fixture. The owner changed all of that. He was helpful and knowledgeable and welcoming. It was an absolute pleasure to shop here and I urge anyone in the market for high quality lighting or maintenance on your existing lighting, this is the place to be!

I walked past this place last night and remembered I keep forgetting to review it. First, George’s Lighting Plus is always breathtaking to pass, the walls upon walls of lit chandeliers behind the glass, dizzying with their presence, remind me of a Rilke poem I love — You Who Never Arrived.
Second, I had such a good experience here as a repair shop! I came here about three months ago to have a large expensive floor lamp of mine repaired. The innards of a light socket at the very top had somehow broke apart and the light wouldn’t function anymore. George, who I believe helped me out, was incredible. When I came in with the big lamp to see if he can even repair it (I wasn’t sure if it was also a repair shop) and what he can do with it, he basically dropped whatever he was doing and took out the broken socket and replaced the entire thing in about 20 minutes. He does repair lamps and on top of it, his price was also extremely reasonable for his time and work.
Not having a car, I looked and saw two lighting places in the quarter-​mile vicinity of my apartment. The closest one to me was a large lighting store (Mid-​West Wholesale Lighting) that was apparently actually a patio lighting store and looked as welcoming as a large empty office cubicle sprinkled with patio lights. At the same time, it was as foreboding as a returns department at Home Depot. I literally walked in and out of that place in five seconds. Sometimes glitzy things are also good on the inside!

We used Payman and George’s Lighting to handle the electric re-​wiring of our house and the subsequent sale and installation of lighting. I have included pictures of some of the lights and chandeliers we purchased from George’s Lighting.
At every step of the way, Payman went above and beyond for us. All the work was done impeccably and Payman spent a great deal of time with my wife to select the lighting that matches the style of our home and our taste. Even if we were looking for something that was impossible to find, Payman would do whatever it takes to make us happy. Since then, he has checked up on us a number of times to make sure everything is working well. Better yet, the wiring and lighting was done at the best prices we were able to find.
I would unequivocally and without hesitation recommend George’s Lighting and Payman.

I am staring up at my beautiful new light as I write this review. It is truly gorgeous and spectacular, if I do say so myself! :D No joke– everyone that walks in can’t help but comment on it. (I will upload a pic if I can figure out how!). I went to a few different light fixture places before finding George’s and I am thrilled that I found it!
Peyman was incredibly helpful, friendly, and patient with assisting me in select my ideal light for my living room. He pointed out why certain lights that I had previously liked wouldn’t work for my space, which was very informative. There is an amazing and endless selection of lights. No matter what your taste is, you will find something you like. Aside from what you see hanging in the store, he also has books of items that he can order. Check out their selection– it’s definitely worth the drive.
Lastly, I must also comment on the installation of the light. They had to add an electric box to install my light, which required beyond the normal light installation. Plus, it’s a really heavy light. Everything turned out great and you can’t even see where they had to install the wiring and everything. Another electrician had told me it was too difficult to install a light where I wanted it, but these guys got the job done in a couple hours! From quality to friendliness and price, this is hands down the best place to buy your lights in LA.

I never write reviews on Unilocal,but I experienced such wonderful service at George’s that I must let you and them know! They went above and beyond the call of duty to try and get my lamp back up and running (which they did). Terrific service, extremely reasonable and beautiful chandeliers (if only i could have walked out with one of those instead of mine!). Thank you — ill be back!

I took an antique arts and crafts lamp here to have a new socket put in.
After I picked it up and put it in the car, I noticed that the was a very large dent that had not been there prior to the repair. When I took it back to point it out, the owner refused to even look at what I was referring too and accused me of lying and then he threatened me! A sad little place!
In response to Banny W., that’s awesome! Seems you became a Unilocal reviewer for the sole purpose of poopooing my reviews and singing the praises of «George’s» Lighting… as this is your only post! It’s curious you gave it four stars and from what you say, have never even gone inside!
But, yes, he does have fabulous chandeliers in the store window (if you are decorating a brothel or mounting a Liberace tribute)!
