There really is nothing quite like this around. Tiny venue (in a little neighborhood church!) where some fantastic musicians perform for 10 – 15 $ a ticket.
Most of what I’ve seen here has been newly composed classical music with the notable exception of the Alan Chan Jazz Orchestra (big band jazz… there must be over twenty musicians in the band and I think the venue might have room for a hundred people in the seats). The series is going into its fourth or fifth year starting December 7th with performers from the LA Met Opera. I just got my tickets.
